Nobody wants a face that is caked in blackheads or unsightly deep set pores. Unfortunately, from teenage years our skin starts to change and we need to take measures to rid the skin of these nasty breakouts. Actually, having oily skin is healthy, so I guess you cannot win both ways! I suffer from very oily skin and my skin is prone to blackheads around the nose and occasionally clogged pores on the forehead area. These strips are designed to remove grime and dirt from deep down with one simple action. After wetting the face and prepping it for the procedure, you peel off one of the substantial strips and plaster it over the desired facial area. The strips go on easily and I guess you could cut them to size if you wanted targeted spot removal. It is a good idea to smooth the strip down and press on it for a while. This gets rid of the bubbly bits on the strips and also ensures that the strip is reaching right into the nasty area. A quick whip off and you might be lucky enough to see some of the yucky stuff on the clear strip. Blackheads and yellow dirt will be particularly visible. I found the strips did shift some of the clogged up bits on the nose area, but they failed to remove every deep down trace. I guess with further applications you would start to achieve better results. Pricewise, you're looking at six pounds for a pack. This seems rather dear to me. I have got better results from using a bottle of Simple Pore Minimising Toner. However, these might provide an extra bit of help to those of us who suffer from very stubborn pores.
My partner suffers from blackheads on his face a lot and I am now getting fed up of picking his face to remove them. I bought these deep cleansing chin and forehead pore strips from boots hoping that they would work. I am lucky and do not suffer from blocked pores so this was a new thing to me. They are made by amirose who I have never heard of before but they do a wide range of beauty products and when I was looking on line there are some things that I haven't seen in store and have been very tempted to buy some of the products. There is 6 strips in a pack for the chin and forehead which works out at 3 for each. They contain tea tree oil which I know is good for the skin and witch hazel which I used to use when I had a spot to dry them up, his is the main thing that made me purchase them. The three main points that are stated by this company about them are that they instantly clean clogged pores, remove blackheads and they are a lager size so that they fit better. The larger size is a good selling point for me too because I was buying them for my partner his face is bigger than mine so they were needed to cover a wider area. The instructions are easy to understand and are displayed with pictures of the process and an explanation underneath. You simply wash you face so that there are no lotions or make up etc on the skin, dry your hands and face open the sachet and take off the backing sheet. You have to use this opened sachet quickly so that the strip peels easily. You have to thoroughly wet the area with water so that the strip attaches to the skin effectively, apply the strip to the area and smooth out any bubbles in the strip, this is then to be left for 15 minutes and should go stiff while drying. When the process is done you should peel the strip from the edges and rinse your face if there is any residue. Before my partner used these he told me to try them out, I am like a crash test dummy when it comes to things I buy for him. I found that they stuck to my face well and that when they were drying they did become tight on my face and slightly hard. Unfortunately no blackheads came out due to not having any, although my skin on that area did feel cleaner than before. They were easy to peel off and caused no pain or soreness. Even after a few days my skin still felt more refreshed in that area. When my partner tried these I found that they removed lots of blackheads not all of them but most. He did a few treatments of these and I noticed that his skin looked cleaner and he has not developed any spots in that area which he is feeling better about. He was unsure about using these but is now comforted about the fact that they worked due to being self conscious about the way that he looks. The ingredients are on the back of the pack this is good information for purchasers in case they are allergic to anything that is in them. There is also a list of cautions, they are to keep out of reach of children, avoid using on skin which is sensitive to bandages or peel off strips, not to re use the strip, they are for external use only and if you have trouble removing the strip to wet it thoroughly until it slides off. The storage instructions are that they are to be kept in a cool dry place and once the packet is opened you must use the strip immediately. I have found these no good for me but my partner has had a lot of help from them. If you suffer from open pores and blackheads these are very good and very cheap. I paid just over £3 for a pack and they have been worth the money. I have purchased a pack of these every 3 weeks because my partner uses one a week on each area and they are definitely helping them. I have sensitive skin and these did not irritate my skin in any way. I would highly recommend these to people who worry about their skin and need a little help to keep it clean.
