Skin Ceuticals Daily Moisture
Advantages: Left my skin feeling lovely and soft, no breakouts while using it
Disadvantages: Not good enough to justify the money
I bought the skinceuticals daily moisturiser to use in combination with the cleanser. It cost me £58 which is much more than I would normally pay even though I normally only buy premium skin care products. Because it was so expensive I'll admit I was expecting more from it than I might have done with a less expensive moisturiser.
The skinceuticals daily moisturiser is designed for normal to oily skin and it is supposed to help with the size of your pored whilst offering moisturisation and a plethora of vitamins and minerals to leave it looking and feeling its best.
Amongst the vitamins and minerals are pure vitamin E, burnet and Brazilian sea kelp.
The moisturiser is described as being lightweight and whilst this is true it isn't still a lot thicker than a lotion and is more like a cream. It doesn't have an overpowering scent to it but it does have a slight grassy smell to it.
When you put it on the skin it does feel gorgeous and it absorbs quickly but gives me enough time to make sure that I have spread it all over my face and neck first.
It leaves my skin feeling silky smooth and hydrated straight away and I found it excellent at giving me great hydration throughout the day without making my skin look or feel greasy.
My skin is sensitive and with my rosacea I need to be careful with what I put on it as some products will leave it red and stinging. With this moisturiser there was absolutely no discomfort at all and I never once felt any stinging when wearing it and there was no red blotches so it passed the test for being gentle enough to use on sensitive skin.
As for my pores I have to be honest and say I never noticed any reduction in their size when using the moisturiser. I did keep an eye on them as I have slightly enlarged pores on my cheeks but they seemed to be more or less the same size after using it or a while.
My skin was left in lovely condition though and I experienced significantly less breakouts when using it.
This is a lovely moisturiser and had it been half the price it was I would be wholeheartedly recommending it but as it is so expensive I did expect more from it and truthfully I honestly didn't see any benefits that I wouldn't have got with another good premium skin care moisturiser such as from Dermalogica.
Even though I thought it was lovely I won't be buying again based solely on the fact that at the price charged I think it should be able to outperform other moisturisers and it didn't.
Summary: Good but I expected better for the money
