Like many people I got the massive box of soap and glory at Christmas jam packed with goodies and this was one of them.

Admittedly it took me until about April to actually use this as I have used my usual face clenser for over five years and never considered swapping part of my "three-step routine."

One day I decided to give it a go and thankfully I did!

The bottle is a fairly simple squirty kind with the soap and glory branding on the front promising to detox and brighten skin using plum extract.

This is of course very simple to use squirt a small bit into your hand and wash your face - the difference maker - tiny pink beads which gently exfoliate the skin and I'm happy to report it works.

The result - I am a convert - this gives your skin a lovely cool, clean feeling. Personally I love it when my skin feels super squeaky clean, and this product gives me that feeling without leaving my skin feeling tight. Don't mistake this for thinking that this is a harsh product - it is anything but and that is why I love it so much - it does everything I want it to do and I don't even need to exfoliate weekly anymore. I should mention that I make life even easier and bring this into the shower with me in the mornings and it makes my face feel woken up (even when the rest of me isn't, I continue to use my usual cleanser in the evening. I do actually think that my skin looks a little brighter than it did a few months ago, so I think it does live up to its bold claims.

Saving the best until last - this is actually saving me money - my usual facial cleanser works out at £7.50 per 100ml whilst my morning soap and glory treat comes in at £4.67 + this is usually three for two in boots therefore working out even cheaper! If comparing the two products - it blows my premium branded one out of the water - but only for my morning routine, I wouldn't want to cool, clean feeling before I go to bed so I continue to use the usual brand here.

Issues: I have run out, on Thursday, and have looked in my local (very large branch) of boots for this twice in the last two weeks and could not find it, but it is on the website - so either the secret is out about how great this is, or there is in-store stocking issues.

So if you are like me and have a bottle of this from Christmas - use it! If not you have got to try it!
