Soap & Glory Foam Call
Advantages: Lovely fragrance
Disadvantages: A bit expensive to buy
Just after Jayden was born my friends clubbed together and purchased a few presents for me, Jayden and my Husband, one item them bought was a hamper made up of all bath products for both me and Jayden. One item which was in this hamper was a large bottle of Soap and Glory Foam Call Body Wash, I received several Soap and Glory products for Christmas and was very pleased with them so was happy when I received some more, this was one item in the range that I hadn't tried so I was hoping it was going to be as good as the other products.
The Soap and Glory Foam Call Body Wash comes in a large pink plastic bottle, it has a clear plastic pump on the top of it and a label wrapped around the middle of the whole bottle. The front of the label is made up of a cream top with the words Foam Call written in large letters in pink and silver, there is a pink section half way down with Body Wash written across it in black along with other facts about the product and the bottom half of the label is made up of a picture of a woman on the telephone and a speech bubble containing what is in the body wash. The two sides of the bottle contain various pieces of product information including information about what the product does, warnings, directions for use and the ingredients, this is all clearly written in the same pink, cream and silver colours as the front of the label.
The Body Wash
The Soap and Glory Foam Call Body Was is white in colour and has quite a thick consistency compared to other body washes I have used in the past. This body wash is described as being suitable for use in both the shower and the bath, I always think that Soap and Glory products have quite a distinctive fragrance to them, however this smells a little different, it is said to contain notes of Frozen Yuzu, Orange Oil, Green Fig and Jungle Pomelo Essence, when I first read this I had only heard of orange oil and green fig and to be honest have no idea what green fig smells like, I can definitely detect fragrance of orange oil in this product but am not too sure about the others, I would describe the fragrance of the Foam Call Body Wash as being fruity with a slight hint of floral, it also has quite a sweet smell to it which I think comes from the orange oil. Other ingredients are Peppermint Essential Oils, Grapeseed EFA's, Fruitliquid Fig and Orange Waterjuice, this product is formulated with M-Suds moisture system molecules along with the Grapeseed EFA's, these help to reduce the drying effects that some products can have on your skin.
Directions for Use
The directions for this product are quite self explanatory and I always wonder whether they are needed on shower gels and body washes, however they state that you rub a handful of the Soap and Glory Foam Call Body wash into your skin until it bubbles and then rinse. Personally I prefer to put a few pumps of the body wash onto my sponge/body puff rather than using my hands, however this is just a personal preference.
Again these appear on the side of the bottle and state that you should avoid getting this product into your eyes, if this should occur then rinse with clean water. This is standard for this type of product and is what I expect to find under the warnings heading.
Price and Availability
As I have mentioned I didn't purchase my bottle of Soap and Glory Foam Call Body Wash myself, however I have had a look around to see what this product costs. The 500ml bottle that I received is available in Boots and cost £6.50, I did think this was quite expensive for a body wash, however since using it I have discovered that you only need a small amount of it making it very long lasting and worth the money so in the long run it doesn't work out that much at all as you will not need to replace it that often.
I have been using my bottle of Soap and Glory Foam Call Body Wash for a while now and have been very pleased with it. Firstly I really like the sweet mix of fruity and floral fragrance that that the product has, it is described as being more of a fruity smelling product however I personally feel that there is a floral hint to it as well.
When I first used the body wash I was surprised at how little you needed and actually used far too much the first time, the body wash produces a nice creamy lather which as promised really does prevent your skin from drying out, after washing with this my skin feels lovely and soft and not dry.
After using the Foam Call Body Wash my skin feels and smells clean and fresh, the fragrance is quite long lasting and does linger on my skin for a while. There are no promises of this being suitable for sensitive skin as it is quite highly perfumed, however I personally have had no problems with using this and it has had no adverse effects on my skin and has not caused irritation at all.
In my opinion this is definitely more of a feminine product and there is no way I could imagine my Husband borrowing it. For me the only disadvantage if I had to choose one would be the price, whilst it is worth the money as it is an excellent quality and also long lasting it is a little on the expensive side to lay out for a body wash in one go. I would certainly use this product again in the future and would definitely recommend it to any one, it has certainly lived up to the expectations I had of the Soap and Glory products.
