Soap & Glory Foam Call
Advantages: smell, packaging, soft and cleansed skin, lasts well
Disadvantages: I prefer clean on me, expensive
Foam Call is one of many shower/bath products offered by Soap and Glory. S&G market this product as being a 'dual-use' shower and bath body wash. This body wash is formulated with a 'M-SUDS moisturise system', peppermint essential oils, fruitliquid fig, grapeseed and orange waterjuice.
Most S&G products fall into different scent families. Foam Call is part of the Fruitigo family which has notes of jungle pomelo essence, frozen yuzu, orange oil and green fig. This body wash hasn't been tested on animals.
Foam Call is presented in a tall, pink plastic bottle which features a pump dispenser. Inkeeping with the retro design of the other S&G products, the bottle features a black and white picture of a lady on the phone in the shower and some quirky sayings. The bottle can be recycled and has a 24month shelf life.
~Price and Availability~
Foam Call is available in a 500ml sized bottle from www.soapandglory.com and Boots. Expect to pay around £6.50 from Boots. The Fruitigo range includes body butter and body scrub as well as the body wash.
I am a big fan of Soap and Glory products. Recently whilst doing my Christmas shopping in Boots, I noticed that S&G was on a 3 for 2 offer (something which is quite common) and couldn't resist treating myself to a few bits. I love the shower gels and normally opt for Clean On Me. On this occasion, I swayed and picked up a bottle of Foam Call and Sugar Crush.
I have previously sampled the Fruitigo scent in the form of the Pulp Friction body scrub and really liked it - it is different from the more popular S&G scents but lovely all the same. I have used the body scrub and the body wash together which enhances the scent and effects. This body wash is also brilliant for using as a stand alone product. The bottle is girly and stylish. I really like the pump dispenser as it makes dispensing this product so much easier in the shower. The pump has never failed me yet and releases a decent amount of body wash with one pump.
I shower twice daily and find this body wash to fit in with my morning routine perfectly. I tend to use something less invigorating for my evening shower before bed. This body wash is of a thin but substantial, creamy consistency - a bit like a thin body lotion. It doesn't look as thick and luxurious as other S&G body washes but a little amount goes a long way. I find I get the most from this body wash by pumping one or two blobs out onto my netted body polisher (also S&G). This amount creates more than enough to cleanse my full body.
This body wash lathers up beautifully and forms a creamy and soft yet surprisingly lightweight layer of bubbles. The lather feels gentle on my dry, sensitive skin and I have experienced no form of irritation from using this product. The lather rinses easily from my skin and I am immediately impressed by how soft and clean my skin feels. The scent of this body wash is identical to that of the body scrub - exotically sweet and feminine with light citrus undertones. It won't be to everyones tastes but I like it. I prefer the original scent from S&G though.
Once dried off, my skin feels incredibly smooth and smells absolutely gorgeous. The scent lingers for a short while (longer if the matching body scrub/butter is used too). My skin feels very clean indeed and also nicely moisturised. Some body washes have a habit of drying my skin out but this one actually seems to lock in moisture. I don't feel the need to apply a body butter or lotion but do so on most occasions anyway to ensure my skin remains soft and smooth for the whole day.
This body wash is pleasant to use and offers an uplifting, refreshing sort of scent which is perfect to wake me up in the mornings. A little goes a long way allowing a 500ml bottle to last incredibly well. £6.50 is expensive for a body wash but the quality is high in this case and this is a real treat for my skin so I can highly recommend it. I do prefer Clean On Me but find Foam Call to be a nice alternative.
Thanks for reading :)
