On my last trip to Boots, I happened to be having a bad skin day, and I’d been thinking I should pick up some facial wipes while I was there. There was money off the Soap & Glory range, so I decided to try Soap & Glory Off Your Face Cleansing Wipes.
Having just checked the Boots website to verify what the full price of these wipes is, it shows £4.50. The wipes come in a pack of 25. The Off Your Face wipes claim to be 3-in-1 - cleansing, toning and smoothing. They are suitable for all skin types, and include Soap & Glory’s “blackhead-fighting PORESHRINK-RS”, and have peach and gojuice extracts.
When I read the pack, I discovered that the “smoothing” part of the wipes is that if you scrub hard at your face with the wipes, they would also exfoliate. Excellent, I thought. In the morning before work, I usually just moisturise and go. Sometimes that can leave my skin feeling a bit clogged up, so I was keen to try these wipes before moisturing and see if they helped.
The wipes are textured, unlike the Boots Cucumber Wipes which I have used before. They don’t have a very strong fragrance, but it is peachy and I think it is recognisably Soap & Glory - it is not the classic “Original Pink” fragrance which I love, but there is a hint of that in there.
Using the wipes is really easy - just pull one out of the pack and wipe over your face. I use it on my neck as well. I find that the wipes instantly refresh my skin - it feels much clearer after using a wipe, as the wipe clears off the moisturiser from the night before and leaves my skin clear to apply the morning’s moisturiser. The wipes cleanse very well, lifting off moisturiser and grime, and they leave my face feeling toned. I like using the Off Your Face wipes - my skin feels fresh and clear, and it provides a nice start to the day.
I’m not convinced by the exfoliating or smoothing function of the wipes though. I’ve tried scrubbing quite hard with them, and although I can feel the texture of the wipes on my skin, which other wipes don’t have, I don’t think it’s enough to actually do anything.
I really like the Soap & Glory Off Your Face Cleansing Wipes. Compared to Boots Cucumber Wipes, the only other facial wipes that I have used, I think these are much better. The pack seals better and keeps the wipes fresh, they have a nicer scent, cleanse very well, and have a good texture. The only drawback is the price - £4.50 is a lot for 25 wipes, so I’m trying not to use them every day. If I can get them on offer, I’ll certainly continue using them.
I was looking for a nice packet of face wipes to take with me on holiday and so on this occasion I didn''''t mind spending more than I usually would because I wanted to make sure my skin was taken care of whilst in such a hot climate. I didn''''t realise they were £4.50 however I was a little holiday happy and probably would have still bought them because I love the majority of soap and glory products. I was more annoyed that these wipes were actually 2 for £5 at the time and the girl at the counter didn''''t inform me I could have had another pack for 50p.. Ah well!
I really wanted to try these wipes however I waited until on holiday to try them. I had quite high hopes for these wipes being because of the brand and the price. On first using these wipes the smell wasn''''t all that pleasant and the texture seemed quite fragile. I used them as normal but found they were not all that great and definitely not worth the money. I continued to use the pack until they ran out but would certainly not be purchasing these wipes again. I was let down by this product and quite surprised that they weren''''t the magic product I expected. I currently use Nivea wipes but have used own brand wipes costing less than 50p that seemed to have worked for me better than the soap and glory ones. Of course all of our skin is different but I would recommend going with a different brand that is likely going to be cheaper :)
I love Soap and Glory products and have been using them for years now. I love their whimsical, old fashioned packaging and I love the smell of their products. I also love how well their products actually work and provide me with lovely soft, moisturised skin. These wipes are amazing and some of the best I have ever used.
These wipes are actually 3 in 1, cleansing, toning and smoothing daily purifying cloths so they are much more than just a wipe to remove make up. Soap and Glory say, "They'll wipe your skin clean of dirt and make-up, help to clear your complexion, and leave your face feeling fah-resh."
What I love about these wipes is the lovely subtle minty smell that you get when you first open the packet and this delicate fragrance transfers over to your face so once wiped, you are just left with a lovely tingly fresh face.
The wipes are not amazingly thick but then they are thick enough to do the job of removing my make up perfectly and not drying my face or having me have to wipe it over and over again to get everything off. In fact, you really only need a couple of wipes and my make up is gone plus my face feels really healthy.
The wipes contain a naturally exfoliating, non-acid, seaweed complex that's exclusive to Soap & GloryTM - plus glycerin, and antioxidant-rich PEACH & GOJUICETM extracts. The glycerin helps to make skin feel soft and you can really feel it. I love the way glycerin works on my skin and I like the inclusion in these wipes.
The wipes are alcohol free so they don't dry out your skin and what I love about them most is that I don't feel the need to put on any extra moisturiser after I have finished using them, my skin feels taken care of enough.
At the moment a 25 pack of these wipes costs just £3 in Boots and as you only need one per go I think this is very good value.
I don't tend to use a lot of shower gels, as I'm more of a soap kind of girl, however sometimes I do receive skin care products for my birthday or CHristmas and I do use test them out, but I don't tend to buy myself them. My in laws gave me a few Soap and Glory products this Christmas and I was actually quite excited about using them as I had heard so many good reviews on here about them. THe first of these products which I have been using a lot of, since I have worn slightly more makeup over CHristmas than I usually would are these 'Off you Face' cleansing wipes which I see currently retails at £4.50 but is part of a current offer of 3 for 2 in Boots.
The packaging of my wipes is slightly different from that shown above and I presume it has been updated. On the front of the pack it states that these wipes are suitable for all skin types, which was probably one of the reasons my in laws bought them as they knew my skin was quite sensitive and I was careful with what I put on it. These are 3 in 1 wipes claiming to 'cleanse, tone and smooth' the skin. Since I received these on Christmas day, I have used them every evening to remove my make up and generally cleanse my face. As well as removing make up, these wipes are meant to help rid oiliness and dead skin cells and prevent the build up of blackheads. The Soap and GLory brand claim that they have their own exclusive PORESHRINK - RS ingredient to help prevent blackheads as it is a 'natural exfoliator seaweed complex'. It also contains Peach and Gojuice extracts as well as glycerin.
I have been using this product for almost a week and I have continued to use them every night as I think they are fab. My face feels very clean and soft after using these. I have had no break outs since using these, although I still use my face cleanser in the morning. As I said, I have used more make up than usual over Christmas due to being out and about and seeing family and friends, but one wipe alone removes all my make up, and in the morning I don't have that mascara residue that the wipe hasn't quite got rid of, my face is perfectly clean without any scrubbing from the wipe. There is a nice scent to this product without it being overly strong.
In terms of preventing the build up of blackheads I would say that even in this short space of time, I have seen a small improvement in the amount of blackheads on my nose where I am most prone to them. I find this quite impressive since very few other products making such claims have ever shown any serious effectiveness at removing or preventing blackheads, so for once a product that does what it claims.
All in all, I don't know that I could justify paying £4.50 for a pack of 25 of these wipes and I think they are a little beyond my budget, but from time to time I may purchase them if they were on offer or part of a deal, as they are probably one of the best wipes I've ever tried.
Coming from work or out and about sometimes I don't want to sit at the sink washing my face. So now and then I use facial wipes! Personally I have found some to do an amazing job over the years.
Soap & Glory - Off Your Face Cleansing Cloths:
'Off Your Face - cleansing cloth face wipes provide 3-in-1 cleansing, toning and skin smoothing for the quick ridding of makeup, dirt, oils and dead cell build-up.'
Soap and Glory face wipes have become one of my favourites, despite there higher price tag for me they really do a great job. I came across Soap and Glory awhile back in the review world however it wasn't until last Christmas I started to try their products.
In a rather large Soap and Glory hamper I received a pack of these wipes and since then have re-purchased a few times when seeing them on offer. Baby wipes I find can still work well on my face but the 'Off Your Face' wipes seem to do a much better job at removing stubborn make up.
Another thing I like when it comes to these wipes is that my face feels super clean, I can actually feel a difference to my skin. The wipes are not as soft as what baby wipes are but I think this is a good thing as it gives my skin a deeper clean. This is perfect when I have been wearing a face full of make up all day long.
The wipes are a good size and pretty much the same size as a baby wipe. They have a nice fresh clean scent to them which also makes you feel cleaner in my opinion. These wipes come in a reseal-able pack, but I do find it does lose its sticky to keep the flap shut to prevent the wipes from drying out. So I normally keep mine in a small plastic food bag just in case.
My skin does react to a lot of products and I'm happy to report I've had no stringing, or drying out of my skin from using these wipes.
Price and Availability:
These wipes are normally priced around the £4.50 mark which yes is pricey for wipes; however Boot tends to have them in 3 for 2 often.
Overall I'm really happy with these wipes, the price tag is certainly higher than what I normally paid but when on offer I think these are great. They give my face a good clean, great when in a rush, smell great and does what it claims to do.
Five out of five stars from me.
Thank you for reading my review

I am a big fan of 3 in one wipes in general. They are great to remove make up and dirt quickly, especially on nights when you're tired and just can't be bothered with the full skin routine. This are by far my favourites.
The packaging is great. Really pretty print in very girly colours that look lovely sitting in my bathroom. THe sort of flip top lid is great to prevent the wipes from drying out and ensuring they last longer.
The wipes themselves are slightly textured so they are slightly exfoliatiing. They are nice and moist. I sometimes find that wipes are too dry to remove all my make up. But they are not so moist that they leave your skin feeling oiling and it takes ages to dry. They really do remove make up easily in just a few sweeps, even waterproof mascara. You don't have too scrub really hard on your delicate skin like with some other wipes
They smell divine! They have a nice sort of pomegranate smell that is nice and refreshing and really different for a face wipe.
Best of all, they leave my skin feeling lovely and soft. I have quite a few problems with dry skin on my nose and find that cheaper wipes tend to make this flare up but these do they opposite. They really improve my skin and leave it looking glowing and healthy.
They are more expensive than most other face wipes but I tend to try and buy them in bulk when boots have specials 3 for 2 offers as they then work out pretty cheap and they really are worth it!
A bit of background
Ok so for Christmas I got the "Hey big spender" case full of soap and glory goodies...which is RIGHT up my street. I'm going to do a review on each item as I use it...it might take some time! One of the first items I used was the cleansing wipes which was extremely handy since it was one of the products I forgot to take over Christmas that I cannot live without!!
Did they WIPE the smile off my face?
Most definitely not! They feel super soft on your skin and they have that beautiful fresh and clean S&G smell. They are supposed to cleanse, tone and smooth your skin but it you apply a little pressure due to the grooves in the wipes they are also supposed to exfoliate and help reduce the size of your pores or as S&G say it may "visually shrink, if you want to be specific but when it comes to pores, our motto is 'see no evil'.." I wouldn't say these wipes are too good for removing eye make up, my mascara doesn't really like to budge but it does leave my skin feeling silky smooth.
The wipes really are sweet on the eye! A lovely pretty pink and white packaging, the bold writing and the witty slogans! I can't fault it and I just want to leave all the products out as they are too cute to hide away!!
Usually depending on whats on offer and how rich I feel I go from Boots branded wipes or Garnier. I would place these more in a Garnier category but they don't remove make up half as well. It kills me to say that the Garnier wipes are probably the better product as they remove the make up too but I can't fault the wipes for this as they never claim to remove your make up just to cleanse your skin although the name "off your face" kind of hints at the fact they would. Which they certainly do! I think once my eye make up has been removed I would pick these wipes over any others. You can buy these wipes on offer reduced from £4 down to £3 at www.asos.com and you get 25 in the pack. I would recommend these wipes but maybe not for heavy make up wearers!!
I'm not brand loyal when it comes to face wipes, I'm happy to use whichever wipes happen to be on offer, and as such I've tried absolutely loads of different ones. I've tried some which have quickly become favourites, and I've tried some which I'll never buy again no matter how cheap they are.
My absolute favourite face wipes though are the Soap & Glory Off Your Face Cleansing Cloths. However I don't buy them very often as I do feel that they are very overpriced. The full price is £4.50, but more often than not you will see them on offer in Boots as part of the 3 for 2 Soap Glory products. This makes them slightly more affordable as each pack would then cost £3.00, but I still think that this is quite expensive compared to other cheaper face wipes which can be nearly as good as these. Each pack contains 25 wipes, sorry cleansing cloths! I think that Soap & Glory try to justify the high price tag by calling them cleansing cloths as opposed to face wipes!
I don't use face wipes every day, I'm normally a wash off cleanser kind of girl. But I will use face wipes if I've ran out of cleanser, or in the evenings if I'm just too tired to go through the whole cleansing and moisturising process, or to freshen my face and neck on a hot day if I'm not wearing any make up. I do always take face wipes with me when I travel or stay over at a friends house for the convenience factor.
I love the fragrance in the Soap & Glory wipes, I think they smell really fresh but with a bit of a floral undertone to them. The fragrance is quite strong, but it's not too overpowering, and the fragrance lingers on your skin for a little while after using them.
The wipes themselves are actually quite thick, much thicker than most other face wipes that I've used, I guess that are more of a cleansing cloth then! The wipes are actually quite wet as well, I do like this as it means that one wipe is more than adequate to clean my face and to remove all of the days muck and grime, one wipe will even remove a face full of make up (whereas with other face wipes it can take two to remove my make up). However a downside to this is that sometimes one wipe feels like it's too much, it feels like it would actually clean two faces. My husband suggested cutting them in half if my face wasn't grubby enough to need a whole wipe - it's a novel idea but I'm not that much of a skinflint to actually consider doing it!
I find that these face wipes are really gentle on my face and they don't irritate my skin at all. They actually leave my skin feeling quite soft and smooth, and actually quite moisturised. They don't replace a moisturiser, but if I'm tired and just use a face wipe before bed then I don't find that I wake up with dry taut skin. I also find that on a hot day when sometimes a moisturiser can feel too much on my skin, I can just one of these instead of a wash off cleanser and moisturiser, and my skin will be perfectly fine. These leave my face feeling clean and refreshed, and they get rid of any excess greasiness on my skin as well.
These are easy to use, I just need to gently rub a wipe all over my face, eyes and neck and there's certainly no need for any vigorous rubbing. The wipes do have a kind of ridged effect to them and so they will give your skin bit of mild exfoliation if you do rub a bit harder with them. The packet is resealable so that the remaining wipes stay wet until you've finished the packet. The seal does actually reseal every time, unlike some other wipes I've used where half way through the packet it stops resealing and so your remaining wipes dry out.
I've been using these for years now on and off, and as I said they are definitely my favourite face wipes. I would certainly recommend these, but I'd say to wait and buy them on offer.
Soap and Glory Off Your Face Cleansing Cloths
As some people may have deduced from my previous reviews, I'm something of a skincare fanatic and I love trying out different products, from face washes to masks and moisturisers. One type of product I don't tend to be so keen on, however, is face wipes, as I find that they don't tend to clean my face very well and often leave traces of make up on my skin, causing it to break out. Nonetheless, I was given a bumper bag of Soap and Glory goodies for Christmas which included a pack of these wipes and as a big fan of Soap and Glory products I thought I might as well give them a go. As my review will show, I've been incredibly impressed with them.
These face wipes come in a plastic packet, sealed on top with a sticker which is peeled off to pull out the face wipes and replaced when they are not in use. Like many products in Soap and Glory's range, the packaging uses a pink colour scheme with a muted background pattern displaying the Soap and Glory 'S&G' initials. The front of the packet displays the company logo, the product name (which I'm a fan of - Soap and Glory really don't disappoint with their product names!) and text claiming that the wipes are 'infused with poreshrink-rs acid free exfoliator'.
The back of the package includes more detailed information on these cleansing cloths. There is an ingredient list and contact details for Soap and Glory, plus some more details in English, French and German. The packaging describes the wipes as '3-in-1 cleansing, toning and skin-smoothing cloths', which 'will cleanse, tone, and - if you employ a little bit of pressure - exfoliate your face'. They even go so far to say that 'using these wipes regularly might make your pores shrink'.
Using the wipes
I find these cleansing cloths very easy to use. Every time I undo the seal on the packet to take out a wipe, I'm surprised at how moist the wipes feel, as I've always found in the past that face wipes dry out very quickly once the packet has been opened, no matter how carefully I re-seal the packet. However, this isn't a problem with these 'Off Your Face' cloths. Because the wipes are so moist and loaded with cleansing ingredients, I'm able to wipe the cloth just once or twice over my skin knowing that this is enough to remove all make-up and grime - even waterproof mascara and eyeliner which are notoriously difficult to remove. I generally give my skin a bit of a scrub with one of these masks, and it really does leave my skin looking and feeling squeaky clean.
Although I'm usually very diligent about my three-step cleanse, tone and moisturise regime, morning and evening, I tend to use these face wipes on those occasional nights when I'm just to tired (or have had one too many drinks!) to be faffing around with lots of different products and I just want to clean my skin quickly and fall into bed. Because of this, when I use these wipes I don't tend to bother using toner or moisturising afterwards. And this is where I can tell that this product's claim to have a '3-in-1 cleansing, toning and skin smoothing' effect really is true, as I wake up in the morning and my skin feels soft, smooth and refreshed with no tightness at all. The acid-free exfoliator really seems to work (which is very rare for a face wipe) and my skin also feels nice and refreshed, as though I have used moisturiser. The wipes haven't brought me out in spots as some other wipes have in the past. Though I don't have enough confidence in face wipes to use them on a daily basis, I know that I can use these occasionally and they will keep my skin looking fresh, clear and spot free.
The cloths are made of a good quality material which is durable enough to give my skin a good clean without any risk of ripping or falling apart. The amount of product on each wipe is definitely sufficient to cleanse my entire face and neck and I've never found myself feeling that I need to use two wipes to give my skin a good clean as I have with some other brands of face wipes in the past.
With regards to the 'Poreshrink' technology that these cleansing cloths claim to harness, I can't really comment as I use these wipes on a sporadic basis, rather than regularly. However, I do always notice that immediately after using the wipes my skin appears matte and my pores are less visible, so I have no doubt that if used regularly these cleansing wipes could well have a shrinking effect on pores, as Soap and Glory are a brand whose products really do tend to live up to their claims.
Price and Availability
Soap and Glory products are widely stocked in Boots stores, and Boots is always my first port of call for their products. These wipes are also available in Harvey Nichols and from some online retailers, such as Amazon. With an RRP of £4.50 for 25 cleansing cloths, these aren't the cheapest face wipes; however, I think that their superior quality makes it worth spending the extra money on them. Soap and Glory products are often found on '3 for 2' in Boots too, so it's worth looking out and stocking up when they're on offer.
Despite not being a fan of face wipes, I've been incredibly impressed with the quality of Soap and Glory's 'Off Your Face' cleansing cloths and the effect that they've had on my skin. Though I still wouldn't use them on a daily basis as I just don't trust face wipes to give my skin the care it needs to keep it blemish-free and in tip-top condition, I think these are a fantastic stand-by product to have in my 'skincare cupboard' (yes, I have an entire cupboard of skincare products!) to use on those evenings when I just don't have the time or energy to be faffing around with cleansers, toners and moisturisers.
The wipes themselves are made from a very good quality material and are strong enough to give my face a good clean without tearing or disintegrating. They stay incredibly moist (unlike the vast majority of other face wipes I have used in the past, which tend to dry out within a few weeks at most of being opened), which means that washing my face with them is fast and fuss-free. They really do make me feel that my skin has been thoroughly cleansed, and remove all traces of make up and muck. They also seem to exfoliate and moisturise, meaning that I wake up with soft, smooth and clear-looking skin. Although these face wipes are a bit more costly than their rivals, I'd say that their quality makes the extra money definitely worth spending.
Overall, I'm awarding these cleansing cloths a fantastic score of five out of five. I really do think that they stand head and shoulders above any other brand of face wipe that I've used in the past and when my packet runs out I will certainly be buying another one to keep for those nights when I just want to clean my face and get to bed as quickly as possible.
I've literally just come back home from a night out with full war paint on my face and am too tired to get the proper make up remover products out, so I've used the Soap and Glory - Off Your Face face wipes as an alternative tonight...I usually use wipes on my face, often from the Simple range as I have fairly sensitive skin and mild acne on my face, but I was given these wipes as part of a Soap and Glory Christmas gift set so I may as well put it to good use.
The packaging is in a similar style to other competitive brands like Simple and even Boots/Superdug's own wipes. As in the picture, you get 25 wipes in a pink sealed plastic wrapping about 3 by 4 inches square, which has a small plastic resealable label on the front to keep the remaining wipes nice and fresh. This label does work quite successfully, I'm about halfway through the packet and the moisture inside is still retained. As with all other S&G products it has that girly, glamorous look to it which I love.
The wipes are quite big for their size but as a result are very thin, they also have a bobbled raised surface to them which as far as I am aware makes these wipes unique compared to all the other brand wipes I've tried in the past. Not really convinced that this makes a vast improvement on how successful the wipes are though! They have a fresh smell to them which is not at all overpowering, similar to a light girly perfume. I can get a bit paranoid by the smell of wipes, if the smell is too strong I won't trust it on my skin, but this has a nice balance for me. The wipes work quite well on my face, it removed all my foundation, lipstick and eyeshadow easily with a couple of sweeps, but due to the thinness of the wipes it is hard to see what exactly has come off your face. It left my skin feeling refreshed but not that moisturized, I have fairly dry skin so a moisturiser is needed immediately after using the wipes or I can feel my face tightening - almost like I've had Botox! It claims on the packaging that it makes your pores shrink but I haven't seen any changes whatsoever which is a real disappointment :(
As I said I got this as part of a S&G gift set, they do several of these throughout the year and are very popular with Boots customers. You can buy these separately at 4.50 for 25 which is very expensive when in my opinion you can get better ones at a much cheaper price. S&G are part of Boots indulgent, high end brands and I am a big fan of their products, however this one isn't worth it at that price. Once my packet is finished I'll be switching back to Simple wipes as these are kinder to my skin and are cheaper...but if I was given these wipes for free again I'll still use them up as an alternative or if I run out of Simple wipes.
The appearance of these cleansing cloths is very attractive, the packet itself is plastic and a light yellow colour with S&G printed in light and dark pink all over the packet, there is then a sticky label covering up the hole for the exit of the wipes, this has it's name, brand and 25 cleansing clothes written in several languages. On the back is how to use the product again printed in several languages, an address so yu can contact the eha doffice and a lengthy list of ingredients. Despite there being 3 languages on the "Off your face wipes" the English it first so this make sit easy for us to find I believe the other languages are french and then German. The sticky label is considerably bigger than the exit hole, this is good because it means you can fully cover it up and these not dry out so they don't get wasted. The hole itself measure approximately an inch by an inch and a half, so it is very small but it's enought o pull one wipe out at a time and not 2 or 3 then have to shove them back inside. When looking inside you can clearly see the wipes neatly folded in place.
Getting off your face
The cloths themselves are very moist and sft between your fingers, these stay moist by the sticky label being tightly pressed down after opening it. If ou putt the cloth out by the folded end you only pull one out instead of several like you do in cheaper packets of wipes. Each clothes is approximately 20 cm x 16 cm and has tiny holes in all over it asif it had been woven or something similar to make this. I mjst admit because this says cleasning cloths on them I didn't know if they was suitable to remove make up or if they was to just cleanse and tone your face. So I first used this with make up on starting with my eyes it removed the tough mascara and liquid eyeliner with ease and I only had to apply a little bit of presure, this wa sonly in a corner as well so it meant I had the rest of the cloth to remove the rest of my make up and this was fine as I suspected the cloth changed to orange! I had to wipe a little harder on my cheeks but it all more or less came off on the first wipe but by this time the cloth was covered so I got another cloth out to wipe over my face to begin the toning and exfoliating, if you put a little pressure on this it can act as an exfoliator so say soap and glory and it was very effective and efficiant it didn't take me long. The scent of these is very weak which is what we want because it's going on out face, not sure what the scent is but it reminds me of their shower gels they have.
My skin isn't sensitive so I could press down as hard as I wanted with this but it wasn't necessary to apply a lot of pressure, as for the exfoliation it did clean my pores properly and I could clearly see this on my nose and looking in a magnifying mirror I was please with the effects this had because not only had it properly cleaned my pores but it had removed any excess spare skin I had which I get on my forehead near my eyebrows and on my cheeks, it was completely gone and this surprised me and I wasn't aware it was going to have an effect like that, as for toning I can't really see a difference in that. Also soap and glory claim that if you use this often enough it can dramatically reduce the size of your pores, now I haven't used enough of thse to notice that kind of difference but I don't have large pores anyway.
When the cloth was against my face it was very cold, wet but smooth and soft at the same time, when I had finished wiping the face dried very quickly and when I had finished wiping altogether my skin was very soft and smooth, it didn't particaully look any different but I felt very refreshed and my face was able to breath and renew without all the dry skin I had, this was very moisturizing as well, I used these several times before putting my make up on the next day because it smooths out your skin giving you a great base to start off with with makes your make up go on a lot nicer.
Ingredients, Price and Availability
The is a list of ingredients on the back of the packet I'm not going to repeat them all but the ones that jump out are alcohol, citric acid, benzonic acid, sodium hydroxide and aqua. Please read these if you are alergic or if you have sensitive skin because you don't want to have a bad reaction to these. These can be found in a lot of gift sets by soap and glory otherwise they are £4 for a pack of 25 wipes. You can pick these up from Boots.
One of the gifts I received for christmas was a big soap and glory gift set. I have never used soap and glory products before so this was an adventure into the unknown. In amongst my bag of soap and glory tricks were these off your face cleansing cloths.
Cleansing cloths are part of my daily cleansing routine and something that I use all of the time. I generally use Olay cleansing wipes but seeing as I got these wipes as part of the gift set I have been using them since christmas - however they are now finished and here's what I thought.
***What do you get***
The cleansing cloths are presented in the standard resealable face wipe pack complete with a total of 25 cleansing cloths designed to cleanse, tone and with a little bit of applied pleasure - exfoliate your face. The wipes also claim to be infused with poreshrink which I have personally never heard of but apparently continued use of the product could shrink your pores.
***Using the wipes***
The wipes are very easy to use - just peel back the sticky resealable tab on the front which has a handy rounded unsticky grip for ease of opening and gently pull the cleansing cloth out. The first thing I noticed about these cleansing cloths is how soft and gentle they felt. The product has a very light fragrance which to be honest to me resembles disenfectant so I was a little dubious when I pulled the first cleansing cloth out of the pack but onward I went. The soft and gentle texture of the cloth was emulated on my face and I actually found it very comfortable to use as I gently cleansed my face with it. Although the product claims that with the application of a little pressure you can exfoliate your face - I definately did not find any exfoliating effects from this product, it was still quite gentle when I applied a little extra pressure.
I found that these wipes were very soothing on the skin and didn't have any stinging effect at all, so it never really felt like they were doing anything serious in the cleansing department. Also on the rare occassion that I did wear make up while using these I found that these cloths just didn't have the shifting power that some of the other brands I use do and it was a bit of a struggle to completely remove my make with these wipes.
***My overall thoughts and opinion***
I found these wipes very comfortable to use and they were very soothing on my skin but to be honest I just didn't feel as though they were very good at properly cleansing my skin and the fragrance wasn't very appealling so won't be trying them again.
***Cost and availability***
Because I got these face wipes as part of a gift set I can't really say how much a single pack should cost, but with a quick check online I've found that you can pick these cleansing cloths up for around £3.45. I did check the boots website to see if they stocked this particular product on it's own and could not find it, but that's not to say that you won't be able to go into your local boots and pick a pack up, but I find that soap and glory products are generally on the pricey side and to be honest I'd give these wipes a miss
When it comes to removing make-up I tend to shy away from using face wipes of any kind. Simply because I don't think they work as well as a proper make-up remover gel or cream - I wear quite a lot of eye make-up most days so I need something a little tougher to shift it, tougher than your average face wipe anyway. Having said that when I got these 'Soap & Glory off Your Face Cleansing Cloths' in a set for Christmas I couldn't wait to try them. Mainly because I'm a huge fan of other products from this brand and I was hoping these would be the exception to my usual face wipe aversion. I'm happy to say these work very well - I've not changed my mind about face wipes in general mind you but these are pretty great all the same.
Price: Around £4
Stockists: Boots stores and their online site stock this product & ASOS.
Other Info: Each packet contains 25 wipes. These wipes basically promise to do literally everything for your skin - tone and moisturise, cleanse - also removing dirt, dead skin cells and oils from your skin and of course remove all traces of make-up. Oh and apparently if you use them on a regular basis they can actually shrink large pores! Quite a claim!
The packaging for these wipes is probably the main reason a lot of people will buy them - because quite simply the packaging is lovely. Its pink and retro - it would 100% have attracted my eye if I'd have seen these in the store anyway. Like I said the packaging is all different shades of pink and has the S&G brand emblazoned all over it. On the bottom of the packet is all the information about the wipes - ingredients, shelf life (3M), claims of the product etc and there is also an address and website printed on there should you have any other questions or queries about the product. At the top of the packet is a peel off seal - now I would have preferred a stronger seal on it personally as I do carry these around with me to use when I stay out - however I've never had a problem with the wipes drying out or the seal being flimsy at all so I can't complain too much there. Practical and stunning packaging I think and very fitting with the rest of the S&G range.
Using these is no different from using bog standard baby wipes so I'm not going to bother explaining that too much - basically scrub and wipe away at your face with these concentrating, obviously on parts that need more dirt or make-up removed from, for me that would be my eyes. For a product with a name like these I expected them to be a bit more well scrubby - like they would feel like they were exfoliating my face as well as wiping away all the rubbish but that couldn't be further from what these are like - but I now realise that's not a bad thing. These feel very soft on my skin and don't irritate or annoy my skin at all - and for someone who has suffered with sensitive skin on her face in the past that's always a big bonus for me. Now one thing worth mentioning I feel about these wipes is the scent - its actually gorgeous. They have that unique S&G scent which is fruity and sweet yet doesn't irritate your skin in any way - so if you have skin that is sensitive to scented products you should still be able to use these without any reaction. The scent is also slightly minty and fresh which really helps me feel a bit more awake when I use these first thing in the morning - Id never thought perfumed face wipes were a good thing until I used these!
Results wise I've found that these work very well - which is strange considering most of the reviews I've read on them don't rate them very highly at all. First off they are very good at removing make-up, particularly stubborn eyeliner and mascara which normally takes me ages to shift. A few wipes across each eye with these normally does the trick and leaves me looking fresh faced and natural again - but without any need for scrubbing and leaving red marks like most face wipes I've used in the past have done. I would definitely say my skin feels softer and more moisturised after I've used these and that feeling lasts all day which makes these perfect to use first thing in the morning as they create a clean and soft base for my make-up. Most of all these make my face look and feel so much cleaner so I can say without doubt this helps get rid of any make-up dirt and oils that might be lurking on my skin. The one thing I don't feel I can comment on is the claim about making your pores smaller - I don't feel that I had very large pores to begin with so any changes (if there had been any) I wouldn't have really noticed a major change - that doesn't mean it doesn't work on minimising pores, but I couldn't say for certain either way. Overall though I can't get enough of these wipes - I can't think of a bad thing to say about them at all and I will 100% be buying them again - I recommend them highly to others as well.
Thanks For Reading.

As I said in my previous review one of my Christmas presents from my husband was the Big Splendour gift set by Soap and Glory. This set was a nice travel bag containing ten Soap and Glory products some of which I was yet to try so I was well pleased. I was also impressed that he waited until it was on special offer before buying it so he got a REAL bargain, bless him.
One of the products in the set is the Soap and Glory face wipes called Off Your Face - most of their products have names which are a play on words and some are quite clever.
Off Your Face wipes are currently £4.50 in Boots although you can pick them up more cheaply on EBay. To give you a tip for the future - I never buy Soap and Glory products at full price in Boots! They regularly have 3 for 2 offers so I wait for those and then treat myself to my favourites!
The face wipes come in standard sort of flat pack with the 25 wipes folded up inside. The design of the pack matches the rest of the range being pink and this one has an S & G design on it. The front of the pack has a peel back opening through which the wipes are removed.
On reading the information on the pack I find that these wipes are infused with 'poreshrink' which is an acid free exfoliator. These are allegedly 'cleansing, toning and skin smoothing cloths'.
So let's see if they live up to their description then!
I peeled back the opening, removed a cloth and resealed the pack so that the rest of the cloths would remain moist. The cloths are 7 inches by 6 and a half inches and they feel nice and soft although not as moist as some I have tried. They have a slight fragrance which is flowery with a hint of that chemical cleanser sort of smell.
I wiped my face with the cloth and I could feel the effects as my skin felt cleansed and toned. What I didn't get was the exfoliating effect - in fact had I not read the information on the pack I would not have even realised that they were supposed be exfoliating!
There is a note on the pack to remind you to dispose of these cloths responsibly. You must throw them in the general rubbish bin and not flush them down the toilet as they would be likely to cause a blockage in the pipes as they will not break down.
In conclusion I would say that these wipes do the job for me as I just need something to cleanse my face last thing at night but as for the exfoliating, sorry I can't feel that. I will continue to use these wipes until they are finished but would not actually go out and buy them. The price is high and the results are nothing to write home about! I will stick with the value ones from Tesco thanks!
Another day, another Soap and Glory product review! These wipes were in the gift set I bought in the run up to Christmas, and I found them quite useful over the Christmas break when I'd often be going to bed late and a little worse for wear, and couldn't be bothered taking my make up off. I also caught a cold at the end of the break so used these again because cleansing was too much effort.
The wipes come in a very attractive packet, which is pink and white and quite modern looking compared to some of the Soap and Glory packaging. The packet has a tab which lifts up in the middle to reveal the moist wipes, and this is re-sealable. I have to say, this is one of the few of these kinds of products I've ever used where the tab has actually sealed again once it's been opened. This helps keep the wipes moist instead of allowing them to dry out.
According to the Soap and Glory website, these wipes provide 3-in-1 cleansing, toning and skin smoothing to remove make-up, dirt, oils and dead cell build-up. It also claims to make your pores shrink, and it exfoliates if you apply a little pressure.
The first thing I noticed about these wipes is that they didn't make my face sting or burn like some can. I have quite sensitive skin so when I try new products like this I'm always half expecting my skin to turn red and blotchy. The wipe is nice and moist and feels really refreshing on the skin. I even managed to remove eye make-up with these wipes without causing stinging or irritation to the eye area.
These wipes are effective at removing make-up and you can see the residue left on the wipe after you've used it. The wipes are also a decent size so you can give your face a few wipes to make sure you've got the last of the dirt. As for the exfoliation, I can't say I noticed any difference when I pressed harder on the wipe, but my skin still looked healthy after using these wipes so I've no complaints about their performance. I also haven't noticed my pores shrinking, but I'm not sure if you'd need to use them continually for this to take effect, rather than using them now and them as I have been doing.
Now for the downside. The RRP of these wipes according to the S&G website is £4.50 for 25 cloths, which when you think about how often you're likely to use this kind of product is pretty ridiculous. They are nice wipes, but I can't say they're any better or have made more difference to my skin than cheaper skin products, so they're not really worth the money in this respect. If I saw them on offer or they were part of a gift set I'd find them useful to have in my collection for nights I can't be bothered with the whole skincare routine, or if I was going away overnight or on holiday, but there's no way I could afford to use these as my daily facial washing routine.
Great product, let down by a highly inflated price.
