Advantages: Smells nice
Disadvantages: The colour stains fabrics, feels uncomfortable on skin, takes ages to dry, doesn't actually work.
I love soap and glory, and I've had great experiences with their products before so I had full confidence in their cellulite busting range. I bought Return to Slender Contouring Gel with great expectations, Soap and Glory have literally glorified this product to be the ULTIMATE skinny product that usage for 52 days will magically make me 'slender'. I'm not overweight and I have a BMI of 25, but just like every woman I have little imperfections on my body that I would happily spend a fortune to correct!
Manufacturer claims:
"Tight Genes! Want to look like you were born with them? Twice a day massage Return to Slender onto any area of your body that needs a little help to look a whole lot leaner. After 56 days, you may not believe your thighs or your arms or your abs.
Whats inside that Counts?
Multi-fruit smoothers, detoxing seaweed extracts and elasticity boosters to diminish the appearance of cellulite."
Impression and use:
So I put this product on my 'problem areas' which are the top of my arms, my thighs and my stomach and I applied it generously straight after the shower. The product does have a nice menthol scent that smells clean and fresh but the colour is what put me off straight away, its a bright green/blue colour that would definitely stain any light clothing you may want to put on after application! The product felt sticky and tacky on my skin, taking an age to sink in. The menthol really affected my skin right away and even though my skin was warm to touch I felt absolutely freezing to the point it was very uncomfortable. After about 45 minutes the menthol wore off and I was able to dress but my skin felt stiff and still quite sticky.
Results:
I used the product until it ran out which lasted for about 3 and a half/4 weeks, and I didn't notice a difference. After every use I still continued to feel that uncomfortable coldness on my skin from the first time but I was so adamant to achieve the results that were promised. After the 4 weeks my skin felt a little bit tighter but my cellulite and 'wobbly bits' under my arms weren't affected. Alongside using the product I started exercising more and eating better which I think had a better effect on my appearance than the product itself.
Conclusion:
I thought that this product was a waste of my money. At £7.99 I expected good results but felt like it was nearly £8 down the toilet! I wouldn't recommend this product as I saw no definite effects apart from feeling cold and sticky after use.
Summary: A waste of money and isn't actually worth even one star.
