Advantages: Gentle on face, cleansed, polished skin.
Disadvantages: My local superdrug don't stock it anymore, bit pricy
Wow dooyoo was fast with my product suggestion this morning , think it must of been about an hour after I suggested it.
St Ives Elements Microderm -Abrasion costs around £4.99 for a 125ml tube, but Tescos apparently has it on offer, any 2 for £6 until 3/8/10. So it might be an idea to snap this up if you can find it. I purchased this in Superdrug, it can be found online but for some reason it seems to have disappeared off the shelves. Maybe it's not popular in a small town like mine, shame really it's a good product even though it's pricy.
The idea behind the product is to gently reveal younger looking, refined skin using fine mineral crystals, chamomile and vitamin E. It is suitable for everyday use. It is dermatologist tested and has 100% natural extracts. It does not contain animal ingredients and has not been tested on animals. It has been formulated without parabens and phthalates.
Key ingredients:
Minerals: plays a major role in healthy cell generation, turnover and protection.
Chamomile: plays an important part in enabling a calming effect on skin, ensuring it conditions and moistures your skin.
Silica (sand): soft, not too gritty properties enable it to be used as a gentle natural exfoliant.
Vitamin E: helps to fight signs of aging by reducing lines and wrinkles and ensures you skin remains balanced moisture wise.
Like with all facial scrubs you splash water on face and dispense a bit of the product on to fingertips and massage over face. Avoid direct contact with eyes (if this occurs then flush thoroughly with water). It mentions for best results, it should be used daily.
The appearance of the product when dispensed reminds me of washing powder clumped together but with a slight gel appearance to it. I can't really comment on the smell as it light and not really noticeable or maybe my nose is blocked. No chemical smell to it though and it's not over powering in any way which makes it fantastic to use and does not put me off.
The product lathers well on the face and give the face a gentle scrub, there are no sharp bits involved, it's not even harsh on the skin which is perfect with my sensitive skin. It leaves my skin feeling and looking well cleansed, smooth almost like your skin has been polished. Moisturising well after this treatment is important as skin begins to dry up. Although it recommended using this product daily I would use it every other day as there are chances of over doing it and making your skin over dry and maybe causing more damage, in other words you could end up change your oily/combination complexion to an over dried one instead.
Overall its good product and does what it says
Summary: Treat your skin
