Good scrub but needs to smell better

I got this body scrub for Christmas along with some other toiletries in the same range, I love using body and face scrubs and often buy them from The Body Shop however I was keen to see if this one from Superdrug would be just as good.

      The packaging
The Body Scrub came in a  little plastic tub with a simple screw top lid. The lid has the fragrance written on it which in this case is Pink Grapefruit along with a silver swirly pattern. On the side of the tub the name Arora Body Scrub is written in white and all the other relevant information is on the bottom of the pot. These include directions for use, ingredients and care and safety advise which is basically commonsense but all the information is there should you wish to read it. The plastic pot is clear allowing you to see the pink coloured scrub inside.

      Arora Body Scrub
On removing the lid I was expecting a lovely fruity fragrance from the pink scrub inside, however I was disappointed. Although there is a slight fruitiness to it I could not tell  it was pink grapefruit and it certainly didn't smell natural.  The scrub is a nice consistency, not too firm and not too runny, it has a nice amount of "scrub" in it, little gritty bits which although can be felt they are not sharp.

      Scrub Up
I use this scrub while I'm in the bath or shower and its very easy to use, I simply scoop some from the pot and massage it into my damp skin in circular motions, the scrub should then gently exfoliate my skin removing any old dry skin cells. Once I'm out of the bath or shower I cannot detect any fragrance on my skin from the scrub at all.

      My Opinion
As I mentioned when I opened up my tub or Arora Pink Grapefruit body scrub I was a bit disappointed with the smell however as a scrub its very good. It leaves my skin feeling really soft and smooth. I use it on my arms and legs and my skin looks brighter and fresher, I can definitely see a difference since using this. The scrub doesn't make my skin sore and although I can be a bit sensitive to products I had no reactions after using this. Although I didn't actually buy this I know it came from Sueperdrug where a 200ml tub costs £3.99.

All in all this is a good body scrub, it works well and is reasonably priced, its just a  shame the fragrance lets it down, the description states it contains "extracts of pink grapefruit" but personally I cant detect this at all.

If you are looking for a body scrub that does a good job but you are not bothered about fragrance then I would recommend taking a look at this, if you prefer something that smells lovely too then this definitely wont be for you.
