My hunt for a good spot gel led me to superdrug. This cost me £0.99, which for one is a bargain, and is the best I have tried.
This gel is applied through a roller ball, which I am not keen on, meaning the gel is applied directly to the spot without the need for oil from your hands to be transferred to the spot. Although I do feel that this is unhygienic, it definately makes this treatment convenient.
This treatment claims to reduce spot size in 3 days which I definately agree with. Spots don't disappear completely but you definately see the results.
Do not judge this spot gel for the price. I have spent more on a spot treatment which haven't worked half as well as this does.
If you are on the hunt for the perfect spot gel, this is definately one to consider. After trying numerous other treatments, this is the only one I would recommend.
Grab yourself a bargain!
I am sadly prone to the odd out break of a spot and so bought this to see what it could do. Having tried a lot of more expensive products in the past at it's cheap price I didn't expect much but was plesantly supprised. This stuff is excellent. It comes in a small glass tube with a roller ball end and to apply you simply roller it over your spot. I applied this in the evening and by the morning small blemishes had gone, larger ones took a couple of days which i still thought was very good.
The tube is easy to use and is a good size to carry around in your handbag so you can quickly deal with suprise outbreaks. It is priced at around £2.50 and lasts for ages making it well worth the money. Only downside is that the rollerball can get a bit clogged up everynow and then but a little warm water soon sorts this out. I think this is the best spot stick on the market and would whole heartedly recomend it to everyone.
I usually use a similar product to this from Avon which is more of a gel in a tube, but I somehow lost it a couple of weeks ago (probably in the bottom of my handbag!) and bought this in Superdrug as an urgent replacement.
At £2.49 it is much cheaper than the OXY and Clearasil branded versions that it directly competes with. It comes in a bright blue box and looks just like a branded version really - it is only when you look at the back of the box that you realise that it is a Superdug own-brand job and part of the Claroty range.
The actual pen is quite chunky and made of heavy glass, so although the pen is small it feels substantial and expensive.
The rollerball was quite difficult to get working the first time I used the pen and took a bit of work (it was stuck) but it is oK now. It's a very small rollerball that works in the same way as the much bigger rollerballs commonly used in roll-on deodorants.
The liquid in the pen works by drying out your spots - which sounds gross but is true! I find that if I get a spot and put this on last thing at night it has "died" by the morning.
The small size of this product makes it quite portable which is good, even if it IS something else to put in my handbag.
I think I still prefer the Avon gel as it is easier to decide how much to put on, but this product is a good alternative, good value and easy to use.
