      Lovely toner from Superdrug

I was browsing in Superdrug while I waited for my friend, and spied the discount section where I found bottles of Superdrug Essential toner for about 40p! Obviously I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get such a bargain, so I picked up two different kinds: Camomile and Sensitive. The Camomile toner comes in a clear plastic 150ml bottle which is simple but attractive, bearing the Superdrug star logo and making it easy for you to see how much product you have left. This toner is designed for all skin types. Like all Superdrug own-brand products, it is BUAV approved meaning that it has not been tested on animals. The toner has the colour and consistency of water, and a light vaguely floral scent. I use it at night after my cleanser, pouring a little of the toner onto a cotton wool pad and wiping it over my face. I find that it thoroughly removes last traces of makeup and cleanser, leaving my face clean and fresh, neither greasy nor dry, and ready for me to apply moisturiser. The screw top lid is easy to remove but I am a little paranoid in case I knock the bottle over: as the liquid is so thin, it would spill easily. This is my only real issue though and so long as I am not too clumsy, it shouldn't affect me! I don't ask for much from my toner - I like to use one to cleanse my skin after removing makeup, but don't feel the need to pay lots of money or use one with special properties. This toner is ideal for the purpose for which I need it. It's value for money, pleasant to use and good for my skin. I can't think of any reason not to give it five stars.

Lovely refreshing toner which dries quickly and is reasonable in price.

I'm a big fan of Superdrug - even more so now there is a loyalty scheme in place! There a plenty of reasonably priced products available and the Superdrug Camomile Toner is one of them. I did buy this product about 18 months ago now but it was about £1.20 maybe less. I have very sensitive skin and I am reluctant to spending too much money on a product that I know little about. I took a chance with this product because it didn't cost too much and because it had camomile as an ingredient I hoped that it would be gentle. The camomile toner has a yellow label; it stands at about 25cm and holds 150ml. The product itself is a clear water like liquid. The toner smells lovely and fresh. It does not leave a sticky residue and dries quickly. I was pleased that the chamomile toner did not react to my skin. It is very gentle and effective at the same time. When using this product I use a cotton wool pad to sweep around my face. It removes any left over make up after washing and cleansing and it really is surprising what can be left over. I was also pleased that you only need a small amount to do the job, which means the product lasts quite a long time. I place the cotton wool pad onto the neck of the bottle and tip it up only once and that seem to be enough. I don't wear face make up on a daily basis so I don't use this product every day; however I have found that it does help keep my skin clear. All in all a great little product to have to hand to keep spots and bay and keep you skin feeling refreshed and healthy.

          Really good range

Sadly, I have really sensitive skin. So many products break me out nowadays so i don't really want to pay alot of money for skincare products, as i'm most likely going to be disappointed. Being a girl who loves a bargain, I saw this toner and i thought i'd try it. It's £1.29 i think, and i thought it would be worth a go. The smell is really lovely and sweet. The consistancy is just like any other toner. This is one of the very few skincare products that doesn't end in me having a million spots the next day. I've also used the cleanser and moisturiser from this range. I've used the blue version which is fragrance free and they all work very well for my skin. Overall, if you're having trouble finding something that won't break you out, it really is worth trying this product. It definitely worked for me and i'll be using it for a while longer. Also, a little tip. The superdrug skin range, the moisturiser comes in a little tub. It's fantastic for taking eye make up off! It takes mascara off a treat.
