      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Overall I am very happy with this product and use it on a daily basis.

      Hey ladies and gents! This is a review on Super drugs tea tree cleanser& toner!! From the age of 13 to 23 at present, I have always suffered with moderate acne. Having tried and eliminated hundreds of products threw out the years; I have come across one of a few of my staple products I use to help keep my acne under control. I first brought super drugs tea tree toner when I was 17, I had read online tea tree was good for acne skin due to its anti bacterial and anti inflammatory properties.

      Tea tree oil originated from Australia and is widely used in many cosmetic products.

      The first time I brought super drugs tea tree toner, I thought why is it green? Lool, I opened the bottle and too my surprise it smelt quite antiseptic with a strong scent! I said to myself I will give it a go and I have nothing to lose!

      I went home and in the evening, I removed my makeup by following the directions on the back of the bottle which states to "moisten cotton wool with toner and gently cleanse in other words 'clean' your face and neck. I did this several times until most of my heavy foundation was removed by the toner.

      My first impressions.

      I feel the tree toner did an excellent job in removing my makeup. It felt really refreshing and my face felt cool which I believe is due to the peppermint added to it. The smell was pleasant and not as strong as it smelt threw the bottle. My face felt clean and a lot lighter once most traces of make up was removed. Once I had removed most of my makeup I then went in the bathroom and cleansed my face with soap, rinsed and pat dried.

      I used the tree toner for the second time on my squeaky clean skin. I noticed my skin looked refreshed, and had a healthy bright glow on my complexion. The toner removed extra dirt from my skin which the soap alone couldn't reach. The great thing about this toner is that if you also suffer from sensitive skin like myself, it is not harsh on the skin and does not in any form sting! The toner leaves my skin hydrated but non greasy unlike some toners on the market.

      Superdrugs tea toner has become my favourite toner that actually helps to clear spots and black heads! And certainly lives up to its claim! I have been using this toner for a number of years on and off and always return to this toner as it agrees with my skin so well. Like lots of products on the market this may either agree with you or may not work for you. The best thing to do is take a risk and try for yourself!

      Ingredients
      Main ingredients are alcohol, aloe Vera leaf juice, glycerin, castor oil, tea tree oil, peppermint oil etc.... These are all great for the skin and I feel this is what helps to promote clearer blemish free skin.

      How to use it.

      To use this toner you will need to make sure you have a cotton pad which you can buy from Asda's, Wilkinson's, Super drug etc... which have about 100 in them! Usually you can pay anything from£1 to £2+ depending where you buy them from. I suggest using two pads and sticking them together as one cotton pad is quite thin and may tear. If you wear makeup you can use this to remove traces of your makeup! You then need to squirt a generous amount on to the cotton pad and gently wipe over entire face in circular motions. On the back of the bottle it suggests using morning and evening! I can't recommend this enough, if you have oily prone acne skin, making this apart of your routine will make a huge difference to your face. I would suggests to wash your face in the morning as you would normally and then apply the toner followed by a moisturizer for your skin type and repeat at night as well!

      How much it cost
      Super drug's tea tree toner cost £2.99 or at present buy 2 for £4, which is excellent value for money! At present the superdrug site has free standard delivery on all orders! Until October 22nd 2013.

      Size
      200ML

      How long does it last?

      Well if you're like me and wear makeup everyday then I would say roughly 2 weeks depending if you wear full makeup such as foundation eyeliner, mascara, blusher, lip gloss etc... However if you do not wear makeup then a month if not more and this is with using it twice daily!

      Where can you buy it from?
      Well I buy mine from super drug which you can order online and sometimes places like eBay or Amazon might be selling them although it is a super drug brand make.

      How quick can I see results?
      When I first started using superdrugs tea tree toner morning and night I saw a noticeable reduction in spots and black heads within the first week which got better with time. Also leaves skin smooth and even toned with a lovely glow.

      Who can use it?

      People with acne oily prone skin whether severe, mild or moderate. People with sensitive skin. People who suffer with the odd break out. People with dry skin as it moistens and softens skin. May not be suitable for anyone who is allergic to ingredients stated on the bottle!

      Recommendation

      I would suggest using this product as stated first thing in the morning and again at night as a face regiment. Acne isn't going to disappear in one night it takes time and you have to be willing to make that sacrifice. Yes we all get tired, but try and force yourself to cleanse your face and then apply toner twice a day. I promise it will make a difference. If this product does not work or agree with you keep on trying until you find something you are happy with. There are also other brands of tea tee like Wilkinson's, boots, body shop, Holland and barret brand that you can also try.

      Hope this review helps someone. Everything I have written is from my own personal experience and fully written by me.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      My go-to morning cleanser :)

      ~~~INTRO AND PRODUCT PACKAGING~~~
      I bought this Superdrug cleanser and toner as part of their 2 for £3 deal and have been using it for couple of months now. The toner comes in a transparent plastic bottle with a flip up cap. I bought it with the mint and tea tree cleanser.
      The plastic is noticeably cheap and appears likely to break if you dropped it- the hinge is very delicate, but as long as you don't drop it, it should be fine!
      ~~~USING THE PRODUCT AND EFFECTS AFTER USE~~~
      After you cleanse your face, apply some toner to your face using cotton pad and wipe over face in a circular motion. There is a refreshing feeling over the face and it freshens you up really quickly. It evaporates and dries quickly and leaves your face feeling fresh. The product has a nice minty scent.

      The toner is also able to remove dirt, oil and make up. You can see the removed skin debris on the cotton pad after use!

      I can foresee myself using this for a while to come!

      ~~~OVERALL~~~
      Whilst the product doesn't shrink pores, it cleanses and removes dirt and oil visibly. It is extremely easy to use, quick to apply and the results are immediate. It has a great scent and is refreshing to use. Plus, it's dead cheap!
        Advantages
        Disadvantages
        Give this one a try.
        As you may have seen from a previous review me and my fiancés have been trying superdrugs Tea Tree range of facial scrub, one of the other products we brought with this, mainly due to the fact that it was on offer, was the Tea Tree Cleanser and Toner. Personally I already use one of Superdrugs own brand of cleanser but had never tried their Tea Tree version, as my fiancé had brought a bottle of it to try himself I decided to give it a go and see what it was like.
        The cleanser comes in a totally clear plastic bottle allowing you to see the green coloured liquid inside, the bottle has a clear plastic flip lid which can be unscrewed from the top of the bottle or opened using the cap on top, this simply clicks in place. The bottle has a clear label wrapped all the way around it, you cannot actually see this meaning that all of the information printed on the label looks as though it is printed directly onto the bottle itself. The majority of the label is taken up with a leaf type pattern in green, this has the words Tea Tree written across it in large slightly dark green coloured letters. Just below this is the superdrug logo which is a small silver star, right at the bottom of the bottle are the words cleanser and toner, this is written in black writing allowing you to clearly see what the product is, and below this is a small sentence about the product written in white, this says "with natural tea tree and peppermint oils and Aloe Vera extracts. the rest of the information is written on the back of the bottle in white writing and I have to say this is written very small and the white writing does not make it the easiest to read. The information on the back of the bottle includes the ingredients, warnings, directions of use and a small paragraph about the cleanser and toner.
        The information on the back of the bottle states that this is a 2 in 1 cleanser and toner, which is light and none greasy, it should be used to remove make up dirt and other skin impurities. The cleanser and toner contains natural tea tree and peppermint oil and helps to achieve a clearer spot free complexion. This product also contains Aloe Vera which will leave your skin felling extremely soft. There is also a small sentence about what tea tree and peppermint oils do
        Tea Tree - Has a natural antibacterial agent an is known for its healing properties
        Peppermint Oil - know for its therapeutic properties on various skin conditions and has a cooling sensation.
        The cleanser and toner itself has an extremely runny consistency and is basically a liquid, in no way is it creamy like some other cleansers I have used in the past, it looks just like green water inside the bottle. When I first used the cleanser and toner I had already tried the facial scrub so was expecting it to smell exactly the same and quite strong, however I was surprised to find not only was the fragrance of this no where near and overpowering as the scrub but also that I could actually smell the peppermint oil in it, whereas with the scrub all I could smell was the tea tree. There is no doubt that the tea tree is still the dominant fragrance but you can actually detect the smell of peppermint in this product. I was pleased that the fragrance was less strong, whilst the scrub was not unpleasant I feel that it would have been nice to be able to smell the peppermint combined with the tea tree rather than just the tea tree alone. There is a small hole in the top of the lid where the liquid comes out of, the hole is very small which does limit the amount you pour out at one time, however with the consistency of the cleanser and toner being like water you do still need to be careful, if you tip the bottle up too much it does pour out not only making a mess but also wasting it at the same time.
        I poured a small amount onto some cotton wool and rubbed it over my face, I had left my foundation on as I wanted to see how well it removed it, after I had rubbed it over my face a few times I was pleased to see that a lot of the foundation had been removed, I did need to wipe over my face several times to ensure it was thoroughly clean and that all make up had been removed but I have to do this will my regular cleanser aswell, personally I find it easier to remove most of the foundation first by washing my face. I have since done this and just used the cleanser and toner to clean my face and remove any dirt or impurities left behind. After I had used the product I noticed that my face felt extremely fresh, I also found that the cleanser and toner gave my skin a cool feel to it, this soon wore off but my face still felt very clean and fresh. I have tried toners in the past and have often found that they tend to dry my skin out a little, whilst the aloe vera in this particular cleanser and toner did help to keep the skin on my face soft I did notice after a while that it was beginning to feel a little tight and as though it was beginning to dry out slightly, I applied a small amount of moisturiser which instantly sorted this problem out. Once applied to my face the fragrance remained subtle, to be honest once I had applied it to my skin I could hardly smell it at all.
        Directions of use
        The back of the bottle states that you should apply a a small amount to some cotton wool and rub over you face and neck repeating as necessary to remove any remaining dirt or make up. It also states that you should repeat this morning and evening. This is pretty much standard for most cleaner and toners.
        Warnings
        Again quite standard for this type of product but includes -
        Avoid contact with eyes
        Keep out of reach of children
        For external use only
        If any reaction occurs stop use immediately
        Superdrugs Tea Tree Cleanser and toner is very reasonably priced in my opinion, it costs £2.99 for a 200ml bottle, however when we brought it along with the facial scrub it was any 2 products from that range for £4.00. Also you only need a small amount of the product at any one time meaning it is economical and reasonably long lasting, I tend to use my cleansers twice a day on a normal day sometime 3 times if I am going out and decide to re do my make up, but even then I am finding that the bottle is lasting a long time and that is with 2 of us using it (although I use it more often) So generally I think this product is very good value for money.
        I would certainly recommend Superdrugs Tea Tree Cleanser and Tone, I have used it several times now and so far it is keeping my skin in good condition, it feels clean and fresh, and I really like the way it makes your skin feel instantly cool which I think would be good on a hot day. It is very reasonably priced and long lasting, although this does depend on the frequency of use. I would recommend this product to anyone, you can use it as a make up remover aswell as a cleanser and toner at the same time so it also has a variety of uses.
          Advantages
          Disadvantages
          A very good 2-in-1
          I really like this cleanser and toner product. It's cheap, first of all - which is ALWAYS a good thing. It's also tea tree - which is naturally good for the skin, and also has a very sharp, delicious smell about it, I've found. It's very refreshing when on the skin, and is good for bad skin.
          Because this is a gel, it seems to last for ages, meaning it's definitely value for money. It's effective in removing make up as well as all the dirt of the day, and my skin's been a lot better since I started using it. Also, because it's not a cream or lotion style cleanser and toner, it's not greasy at all - we all know how horrible it is to have greasy skin AFTER cleansing! So the fact that this product avoids that feeling is a plus.
          It's very quick to use this morning and night, and very convenient - you don't need a sink to wash in for it or anything, so it's great for on-the-go, too.
          Advantages
          Disadvantages
          I sometimes think that I've tried every cleanser and toner known to man (or woman), from expensive to cheaper but in the end I keep coming back to this. The fact that it was a 2-in-1 put me off initially but I was speedily converted, that 30 seconds I save can make all the difference in the morning! The thing I really like about this product is it's a gel rather than a cream, just apply with a moistened cotton wool pad and it leaves your skin feeling really clean and fresh but not greasy. I have tried facial washes but always managed to get them in my eyes and I never felt my face was really clean (probably because it's harder to see the visible evidence!). I would also have to say that I have sensitive skin and this suits me better than a lot of the more expensive brands. The percentage of tea tree oil in this product is only 1% but it also contains peppermint oil. The combination of the two gives off quite a strong fragrance, which luckily fades away quickly since my husband, hates it! For around £2.50 for 200mls, this really is a value for money purchase as a bottle normally lasts me 2 to 3 months, using twice a day.
