“ Brand: Superdrug / Type: Cleansing Wipes / What it does: Cleanses / Product line: Superdrug Tea Trea „
I go through a lot of face wipes using them every morning and to remove my makeup most nights. I'm not brand loyal and tend to just pick up a packet whilst out and about. Some wipes I've used recently are these ones from Superdrug.
The tea tree cleansing wipes are a Superdrug product so can only be purchased from their stores or online from superdrug.com. They have a full price of £2.99 but can often be found on offer for half price or two packs for £4.
The packaging is pretty basic, the same as any other brand of cleansing wipes really. It is made from a green plastic and at the top there is a hole to remove the wipes and this is covered by a sticky tab so that when the wipes aren't in use they stay nice and fresh. I haven't experienced any problems with the wipes drying out or the sticky tab losing stickiness so the packaging does the job well. Another good point about this is that each of the thirty wipes that come contained in the packaging come out individually, this means when you pull one wipe out, a handful doesn't come out at the same time like other brands I've experienced.
The wipes themselves have a nice level of moistness, they aren't too moist so that they leave residue all over your face but they aren't dry in the slightest either. The tea tree element of the cleansing wipes is strongly noticeable from first removing the wipes from the packet as there is quite a strong tea tree smell but it isn't so strong that it's overpowering. I normally use face wipes both morning and night but as these have a tea tree property, I only used them in the morning as the thought of removing eye makeup in the evening didn't really appeal to me. Using these in the morning was great as the wipes are really refreshing, perfect to use in the morning to kick start your day. They leave a tingly sort of feeling but it feels really nice and doesn't last too long. The wipes are effective at cleaning my face.
These tea tree face wipes from Superdrug are quite expensive at full price but if I see them on offer again I'm definitely picking up another packet. They are perfect to use in the morning as they are so refreshing and work well on cleaning my face, definitely recommended.
I absolutely swear by superdrug brand tea tree cleansing wipes! For the last 6/7 years I have used these wipes almost religiously. I haven't suffered from dramatically adverse skin conditions on my face (the one place in my entire life I have never had a patch of eczema in comparison to every where else) but I am always particular about what I have used....steering clear of scented or perfumed products. I decided to try this brand after trying many other items and after a month or so I genuinely felt my face was clearer and smoother. I do not wear makeup so any face product which allows my skin to look good without a long morning face regime is right up my street!
In one pack there are 30 wipes, (perfect! one for each day of the month!) and a pack is usually £2.99 but can pick them up on offer for buy 1 get one free from the whole tea tree range, or a pack for £1.49 (always best to wait for the offers so it feels like more value for money). The wipes are invigorated with peppermint oils and tea tree essence, which when I first used them years ago, it did tingle on the face (not as strong as stinging but the oils were quite powerful) but over time I have completely gotten used to it! The wipes are extremely refreshing, not only do they soothe the skin but they also cleanse, as you can see the dirt coming off your face onto the wipe so it is clear they are doing a good job. I have used other brands (johnsons, nive, olay wipes etc) and none of them have left my face feeling clear, smooth and fresh such as these.
If people are adverse to the scent of tea tree and peppermint then this product is definitely not for them. As I have used them religiously I no longer even notice, but others may find it overwhelming.
I always use facial wipes rather than soap and water as I used to have really bad skin when I was little and still now if I use soap on my face my skin gets really dry. When I was in Superdrug they had these on offer so I decided to buy some especially liking that they contained tea tree. I picked up 2 packs of the wipes for just under £4 which I considered to be a good price for 2 packets of 30 wipes each.
The wipes come in a bright green packet with a plastic pull back area to allow you access to the wipes, this area does stick back down although it doesn't tend to keep its stick while you use the entire pack although they don't seem to lose their moisture so that isn't an issue. On the front there is a simple picture of a leaf and the words tea tree in large letters, you could hardly call the packet attractive although the colour means it does jump out at you from the shop shelves.
Superdrug state that these wipes will cleanse and refresh the skin and also remove dirt, oil and make up to give a spot free complexion. The wipes are easy to pull from the packet and they pull out one at a time which is good as it would be quite difficult to get them back in the packet without ripping it. The wipes are square in shape and white in colour and they smell of teat tree but also a little minty too, I like the smell a I think it smells really clean and fresh.
Superdrug are against animal testing which I think is good to know and this of course means that vegans and vegetarians can feel confident using them. The wipes are dermatologically tested so shouldn't cause any adverse skin reactions.
I like these wipes and will buys them again, I don't wear make-up so I can't say how good they would be at removing it but they are great for keeping my skin clean and fresh and one wipe is large enough to do the job so a pack lasts me 15 days which I am happy with for the price. My skin is also left feeling soft and it is rare that I get spots so I can highly recommend these wipes.
I love Superdrug's own brand of Tea Tree based products but these cleansing wipes are probably my favourite out of the entire range. I've bein using these wipes for around 6 months now, if not longer, and I always pick a pack up whenever they're on offer - the wipes are usually 2 for £3.99 or you can mix and match with other items from the Tea Tree range so it works out really cheap. Superdrug claim that the wipes cleanse and refresh the skin as well as removing dirt, excess oil, makeup and any other impurities, which helps promote a clearer and spot free complexion
The packaging is pretty basic, the wipes come in a pack which is made of thin plastic-like material with a hole on the top which is covered by an adhesive seal which you simply peel back to get a wipe out then seal it back down again to keep them fresh and moist - i've never had issues with these wipes drying out like some wipes can do even if you seal them back up correctly. The colour scheme of the packaging is green, it's very simple and has the Superdrug logo and product name aswell as a picture of tea tree leaves. I do definetly think that the packaging will appeal to men as well as women as it's such a basic colour but it's eye catching. You get 30 wipes per pack which I think is a generous amount of wipes for the price and they're a decent size too so you don't have to use more than one each time.
Superdrug state that these wipes have bein tested by dermatologists to ensure they are safe and effective. It is also made clear on the packaging that Superdrug are against animal testing and that the wipes are suitable for vegans and vegeterians. The wipes themselves are folded up inside the pack. When I pull one out I can see that they are white in colour and square shaped, they look pretty much like baby wipes. The smell is amazing, you can smell the tea tree oil and it smells really natural and generally pleasant. I love the peppermint undertone as it helps make the smell slightly sweeter and more unusual.
Using the wipes is easy, I use them like I would any other wipe and just rub the wipe over my face to remove my foundation and obviously it cleanses my skin at the same time. I don't use this to remove my eye makeup as I don't like the idea of having tea tree oil around my eyes. The only downside that I can think of to these wipes is that they're so full of moisture that when I press it onto my skin the moisture often pours out onto my hand which I don't like so it's important to do it gently. Even though it's very moist, my skin dries almost instantly after using the wipe and it doesn't make my skin appear greasy or shiny like some face wipes can do. It effeciently removes my foundation and leaves my skin nice and clean, and also feeling fresh. Due to the peppermint, it makes my skin feel slightly tingly and it gives a cooling sort of feel which I didn't like at first but now that i'm used to it I really like it.
As I said earlier in my review I have bein using these wipes for a substantial amount of time and I do think that my skin has slightly improved - it's not as dry and I don't get quite as many blackheads. It doesn't however prevent me from breaking out in spots but I do find that the wipes dry the spot out and therefor the spot is gone quicker then it would be without these wipes. I haven't suffered from irritation or anything like that and i've found the wipes to be gentle on my sensetive skin. Overall, these are very affordable and great value for money, one pack usually lasts me from 2 weeks up to a month depending on how often I use them, I usually use them daily though - once in the morning (as they're so refreshing) and once at night (to remove my foundation) the smell is gorgeous and doesn't linger so there is no worries of it clashing with perfume or anything like that. Reccomended!
With the fast pace of modern life it is not always easy to be able to carry out the desired cleansing regime to ensure that you can have the skin desired but thanks to these excellent quality wipes you can now have great cleansing quickly and easily available to you but are they really all that?
These wipes are well packaged meaning that you are able to remove one easily and quickly. The resealable nature of the packaging also means that you can keep the moisture in the wipes so that they are not rendered worthless after a matter of days as with some of the other wipes out there.
These wipes leave your skin feeling very clean and fresh and thanks to them being moist they are soft on your skin yet thorough and tough on the dirt and grime that build up through all the pollution from exhaust fumes, cigarette smoke and more.
The wipes contain tea tree and peppermint which allow for your skin to feel very refreshed as well as leaving behind a nice fresh smell.
The wipes are excellent value for money too as they are able to be used in the home or on the move and retain their moisture thanks to the resealable packaging.
I suffer from skin conditions that mean I have very dry and flaky skin and I have found that these are able to be used without any skin reactions which I have experienced from other products out there.
I have been very impressed with these wipes as they enable me to have great cleansing available on the move or in my own home. The fact these are able to be used and discarded quickly without the need for water and/or towels is something that I find great as if I am in a rush then these are something that offer a great solution. Value for money and wipes that don't just break apart when you put some pressure on them make these something I'd highly recommend to anyone.
Some time ago I reviewed Superdrug's Tea Tree Blended Oil to help combat a new outbreak of acne. At the same time I bought a few more products from the same product range as they were recommended for Oily/Combination skin. One of these was the Tea Tree and Peppermint Oil Cleansing Wipes which is what I'm reviewing today.
These wipes cost me £2.99 for a pack of 30. That is a little pricey compared to other store brand wipes but worth it because it was part of a 3 for 2 offer on the Tea Tree range.
The wipes come in a typical cleansing wipe pack- rectangular in shape with an adhesive seal at the top which you unpeel to take a wipe out and then seal back to lock in their moisture. The pack is a dark green colour and has the Tea Tree logo and image right in the centre, so it is definitely eye-catching and recognizable as part of the product line.
A quick look at the ingredients shows that there don't seem to be any harmful substances but alcohol is present if that concerns some people. It also states that the wipes are suitable for vegans and vegetarians and has been demagogically tested. The claims about the wipes are that they "will cleanse and refresh your skin by removing dirt, excess oil, make-up and other skin impurities, helping to promote a clearer, spot-free complexion". Certainly a convincing pitch!
I shouldn't have to explain how to use these wipes, but generally I start wiping on my right cheek and go anti-clockwise over my face before doing my neck.
The first thing I should mention is the lovely smell of the wipes. There is peppermint oil in them as well as tea tree oil and the minty smell is not overpowering but very soothing.
Taking out a wipe I notice they're very large (the edges are folded in so the packaging is more compact) so I sometimes rip them in half so as not to waste all of it. It's very easy to wipe my face with them; I can grip them easily despite their wetness and they don't glide off my face like with some brands. Due to the peppermint smell and the moisture within the wipe my face certainly feels cooler and more refreshed after use instead of heavy and greasy. They don't irritate my face either, and though my skin isn't too sensitive there is a sensitive pack of these wipes available. Unfortunately, I can't vouch for how well they remove makeup but I'm guessing it will take more than one wipe, as sometimes not all my face feels cleaner after going over it a first time.
To be honest after a few weeks of using these wipes combined with the blended oil my spots still haven't disappeared. However they have generally decreased in size and the acne is mainly around my cheeks not all over my face like before (besides the wipes don't claim to tackle spot issues, but generally keep your complexion clear). Overall then I'd say these tea tree oil cleansing wipes are good for daily use in a skincare routine because they keep your face clean and leave it refreshed after use.
I had been wanting to try these wipes for such a long time and never got around to buying them and since I had plenty of other wipes to use first, I still bought these to keep myself topped up so I did not run out of them and at the time I thought I would buy these and give them a try as I have read a few positive reviews but I had not tried them until the past few days and they suited my skin perfectly.
I bought them for only around a £1 on a visit to Superdrug store some time ago and they were on special offer at the time, and they are usually priced much higher at around £3 and so they were a bargain and the packet is a green plastic with a pull back strip to reveal the wipe, there are 30 wipes in the pack I bought and each wipe is a very good size of around 10 inches square, they do not have a strong fragrance to them in my opinion, they do not have a perfumy smell, but there is a slight smell to them but not a perfume fragrance if that makes sense, they are very soft to the touch and feel lovely on the skin, they have a good moisture content and these have not irritated my skin and I have quite sensitive skin and I have found they are fine.
They contain natural tea tree oil, aloe vera and peppermint oils, but I cannot smell any peppermint at all on the wipes at all, I have used these to remove my make up at night time and to refresh my face during the day if I am not wearing any make up, and the remove the make up perfectly and although I do not used thick make up and never have and these have removed all of it to my satisfaction.
My skin has not felt too dry after using these, they hold the moisture while using them as some other brands I have used over the years have tended to dry very quickly but these are absolutely fine in my opinion.
These wipes are also fine to use to prevent spots and pimples, and although I rarely ever get spots, I think the ingredients would work if that is a problem some may have and they are nice and gentle on the skin too and I have found no irritation with them whatsoever.
I have used these on my neck area too as I usually do clean my neck with wipes and these do feel nice and cool on the skin while using them, once used the face and neck do not need to be rinsed and these also cannot be flushed they are to be thrown in a bin.
These are so refreshing on the skin and also very soothing at the same time and although i do not have any pimples, they feel kind to my skin and suited it very well.
The peel back strip, can easily be replaced to keep them nice and moist and also fresh for the next time they need to be used, and I use a lot of wipes and different brands and this one is a very good quality and they work very well for my skin and I will continue to buy them in the future and they are excellent value for the price and I highly recommend them and for the price they are affordable if you are on a budget like I am at the moment.
I give these 5 stars.
Thank you for reading my review.
Not that long ago I tried a couple of beauty products from Superdrug and they seemed to work ok and were a great price. I often stay away from the own brand products for my face - not that i'm a snob in that way, but I have such bad skin on my face that I tend to think that i's only the brand named Spot busting stuff that will work. That isn't exactly doing a good job for me anyway so i'm exploring other options.
I've used Tea tree products from the Body Shop, and although i'm not too keen on the smell of it, it does seem to help with bad skin.
This pack of 30 Wipes usually cost around the £3 mark, but the range was buy one get one free when i got them, so I tried these and a Face Wash. Not too bad priced that way. The pack looks like the Dooyoo picture. Not the nicest looking thing and it doesn't stand out that well on the shelf either.
If you use these in the morning and at night then they are meant to wipe away impurities, remove dirt and oil and help with redness and spots.
The wipes are large enough and quite thick. I unfolded the wipe, and wiped firmly over my face in a circular motion a couple of times. You could smell the Tea tree and a bit Peppermint, which after reading the back of the pack I knew was in the Wipes as well. My skin felt a bit tingly and it had a sort of matted sheen to it. I touched the skin about 10 minutes later after the stuff had dried a bit and it felt ok. Not greasy anyway which was great.
I used these until the pack had finished and was using the Face Wash from the range at the same time. It didn't completely get rid of my spots, but I feel it did help take the redness away and they didn't seem quite as large. Also i didn't feel this was as harsh as other more Chemical smelling face products.
Recommended by me.
Few weeks ago I pick this up from Superdrug, one of those spur of the moment splurges I so hate doing. These Tea Tree Cleansing Wipes were on a buy one get one free offer, I think I spent £2 on it. To be honest I'm quite happy with this product, atleast I will actually use it and not just forget about it , leaving it to gather dust.
The packaging looks very different to the one dooyoo has to offer, it looks more funky. Lime green packet with a funky plant pattern with a adhesive seal on top to open and reseal the pack. It is 30 cleansing wipes with natural tea tree and peppermint oils and is paraben free. Claims to cleanse and refresh skin and promote a clearer spot free complexion.
Simple to use, using a wipe at a time cleanse face using a circular motion for deep down cleansing. On opening the pack you get a strong waft of peppermint reminding me of chewing gum. No matter how many times you reopen the pack you still continue to get that strong smell. The wipes are folded up and really drenched in its solution.
After use my face feels really cleansed, cool and fresh, it does tingle soon as its in contact with skin and you do smell like chewing gum for a while. My skin type is combination and spot prone and it is such a hassle balancing it. Any spot that may seem to be appearing seems to die down on its own before it get bigger and I become tempted to mess with it. I also do use the spot stick in the Superdrug Tea Tree range throughout the day just to help it along. I tend to use these wipes in the evening to get rid of the grease build up during the day and when I'm too tired to even care as its simple to use and does the trick. Normally these wipes are placed near my bed for easy access.
Even though it is classed as a skin care product, I have use it to clean the surface of my desk, yes it did smell like chewing gum for quite some time after but it gave it a good clean. I just thought if it picks up grease and is antibacterial then there is no harm in using it as a cleaning product too.
Its not a product I could use twice a day as it just too harsh for that and could really dry up my skin. As mentioned on the pack its not suitable for sensitive skin, so be careful you could over do the cleansing making the skin dry and irritable.
Overall a nice cheap product which works really well.
I have pointed out in other reviews that I have combination skin that sometimes borders on sensitive. Even though I'm in my thirties I am prone to the odd few breakouts of spots (mainly on my chin) so I need a product that deep down cleanses without being too harsh at the same time.
I have tried many products in the Superdrug Tea tree range and found most of them to be quite effective, so when these cleansing wipes were on a B.O.G.O.F recently I decided to test them out.
What are they?~
These are cleansing cloths for the face and to look at them they are reminiscent of baby wipes. What makes these differ to regular facial wipes is that they contain tea tree and peppermint oil to clean and refresh, making them ideal for spot prone skin.
Price and packaging~
As with all the Superdrug Tea Tree & Peppermint range, these come in a bright green coloured packaging. There are 30 wipes per pack, and the pack is a plastic material with a sticky, removable tab.
The price is the reason I have only just bought these as they normally retail at the odd number of £2.92 which for something that's only going to last a month (presuming they are used daily) is a little expensive, well for my budget anyway.
At my local Superdrug store I have noticed these being on offer quite regularly, sometimes reduced to £1 and this week they were buy one get one free which is why I took the plunge and purchased them.
Using the wipes~
I decided to use these on a night just before going to bed.
I don't wear much make up unless I'm going out (which is rare nowadays!) but I do use a touch of concealer. On removing the plastic tab I could smell the tea tree straight away though it wasn't too overpowering. On removing a wipe from the wrapper I could tell there was peppermint involved and it reminded me of the Original Source products of the same fragrance - just toned down.
The wipe itself was quite moist which was a good sign.
I smoothed the cloth over my face and neck and it felt very cold and made my skin tingle at first. The tea tree and peppermint combined together is really refreshing on my skin and gave it a real wake up making me think perhaps usage would be better suited to mornings to give me a boost!
This cleansed my skin and the days 'muck' and remnants of concealer came away with ease; one good wipe all over the skin seemed to suffice.
Although the cloth is quite moist and it leaves a dampness on the skin I found it dries instantly. I thought it may leave my face feeling dry or tight but was pleasantly surprised that it didn't do either.
Would I recommend these?~
In a word Yes. Even if you don't have spot prone skin these are ideal for trips away or just quick and easy wipes for after a night out. These are quite large in size so to save money they can easily be cut down the middle creating double the amount of wipes (which I've done).
*Made exclusively for Superdrug
*Not to be flushed down the toilet
I can't say they definitely get rid of spots as I only get them now and again but at least if I'm using a product like this it's helping to keep them at bay.
Though these are quite good cleansing cloths I think I will only buy them when they are on offer, but seen as that seems to be fairly frequent then it looks like these will become a permanent part of my cleansing routine.
These are a really good bargain. I have combination skin and will admit that I keep for them for times when I am too lazy to wash my face before bed. Without them that would be sending an invite to a breakout but they provide effective cleansing without being harsh. The packaging is a let down as the resealable flap, tends not to reseal with time. The wipes are ready to use and are really soft. They are refreshing and clean really well. I also use them to take off make up which they do really well.
I've tried many cleansing wipes and so far tea tree ones have been the best.
They are around £2-£3 (online on superdrugs site at £1.95 atm)and usually their is a buy one get one free deal in Superdrug on them so they are definitely worth the money.
The cleansing wipes come in bright green packaging with a resealable flap to stop them from drying up. Like others have said after a while it does tend to roll back and not stick down as well but i've never had any problems with them drying up.
I do actually find after using them my face tends to sting but I prefer using them as they take off make-up very well(I also take my eyeliner off with them and it doesn't sting my eyes), smell nice and prevent breaking out in spots, -well they don't stop spots completely it would be amazing if they did! Its just compared to other cleansing wipes I find that with these ones they have been the best because they cleanse your face really well and are cheap!
After trying various brands of cleansing wipes, I settled for Superdrug's Tea Tree Cleansing Wipes (with natural tea tree and peppermint oils). I was after a pack of wipes which stayed moist and so did their job of cleansing and these were the ones.
Superdrug's Tea Tree Cleansing Wipes come in green packaging with a resealable tab that peels back to reveal the wipes. Once you are done, make sure you reseal the pack to help keep the wipes moist. I have tried other cleansing wipes, but more often than not they have either dried out or weren't all that moist to start off with, however these are just the job.
The wipes are also soft and, despite being Tea Tree, they aren't harsh on your skin. I have found Tea Tree to feel like it's burning my skin with some products, but not with these. The peppermint oil is known for having a thereputic effect on skin disorders and cooling (apparently) and they certainly work wonders for the skin on my face.
The wipes smell exactly how they're supposed to... of tea tree and peppermint. It's actually quite a nice smell.
1 pack contains 30 wipes. Superdrug's usual price is £2.98, but I often find them on offer. At the moment they're selling 2 packs for £3.99, but sometimes you'll find them on the Buy 1 Get 1 Free offer. If I'm in Superdrug and these are on offer then I'll often pick up a pack or two as I know I'll use them. I'll be using them forever more!
