I regularly use skincare products that contain Tea Tree, as I find their cleansing properties work really well in helping to combat spots. I have purchased products from the "T-Zone" range, with this review outlining my experiences of using the "T-Zone Anti-bacterial Cleanser."
As @ May 2013, you can purchase the 200ml bottle of cleanser online from www.amazon.co.uk for £4.
The liquid resembles a thin, blue 'watery' substance that is easy to dispense, through a small hole located at the top of the bottle. I usually pour a little onto a cotton wool pad, using the soaked pad to cleanse my face.
I find there is a wonderfully refreshing feeling to be experienced during use, which is often the case with products containing Tea Tree, due to the strong, menthol-like aroma that it carries. I find that this feels quite pleasant, but I am always careful not to apply the product too close to the delicate eye or mouth areas, concentrating the product's application to the cheeks, nose and forehead instead. I am pleased to note the lack of any stinging or irritation during the product's application, and it feels surprisingly gentle, irrespective of its strong aroma/scent. This 'gentleness' was surprising to me at first, as most other similar products that I have used recently have had a strong 'astringent' feel to them, and they have felt quite harsh.
The T-Zone product, in comparison, feels pleasantly gentle, and I am pleased to note that there is no acceleration to the dryness that affects my skin. I do therefore recommend the product as being suitable for those consumers who suffer with dry skin.
In terms of the product's effectiveness, I have noticed that it works well in removing any make-up traces that may be lurking, in addition to removing any grime or excess oil from the skin, but again, it does so without leaving skin feeling overly dry, with an unpleasant 'tightness' present. Instead, skin just feels refreshed, cleansed, spotlessly clean and free from grime.
I do feel the product has worked well in assisting to combat spot outbreaks, as it has removed all traces of grime and make-up, which do contribute to spots appearing on the skin. I would therefore recommend it for this purpose and I have already repurchased it, feeling that it works well for the low price paid.
