Advantages: Highly multi functional, friendly to your purse & smells great

Disadvantages: Not great for its intended use.

Cleansing wipes, or even any face wipe really, is - in my opinion- one of the greatest inventions!! You can use them for just about anything. In the past I've even used them for cleaning my floor when i was out of floor wipes! Other uses have included wiping stains off the kids faces while we were out and about, wiping the dogs paws after the rain and mud, etc. But why use your 10Euro branded packet that claims to do wonders for your skin when you can use a packet for under £1 which does much much more.........

**Tesco Cucumber Wipes**
With 25 in a packet for just over a Euro1, round about 60/70p, you really cant go wrong can you? Aesthetically they wouldn't jump out at you. With other face wipes displayed in flouresent greens and baby pinks with brand names jumping out from everywhere, then these tend to get lost in the crowd and sit there aimlessly on the shelf. However, with the price tag that sits beneath it, I'm sure it gets noticed. It did by me anyway!!

**My Personal Opinion**
Now I know a lot of people are very fussy when it comes to skincare products, especially those for the face such as wipes, moisturers, lotions, that kind of thing. But is there really a difference between branded products such as nivea (which is quadruple the price anyway!!)?? Not to be a hypocrite, I'm going to set the record straight before we continue. I am one of those people, when it comes to moisturisers, but only because i find loreal is the only one that works for me.

Now these wipes I decided to try mainly based on price. I am a sucker for a bargain and these jumped right out at me! I never really stick with one 'brand' of wipes and tend to just by the cheaper option, because for me, they all do the same job, or do they??

I used these at first in other to remove make up before bed. And yes, they served their purpose. My make up was removed (skin still intact ill have you know) and my face was smelly fresh as a cucumber ;)!! However, and as much as I hate the 'but' part of a sentence, there has to be one in this particular case. I woke up (bear in mind I still had skin) and my skin felt tight and quite itchy. I had to double up on moisturiser to get it back to its original self. Now sometimes I do suffer from sensitive skin so maybe that was playing a part. But from then on I have just used them for menial things such as floor cleaning and wiping the dogs paws!!

**Overall**

Although cheap, I found that this product wasn't right for me. Everybody has different skin types so it may suit a lot of people and not suit others. But hey, that's the way these things go. I did find them useful overall. Maybe not for their original purpose of skin cleansing but for a variety of others. Maybe tesco should rename them as "Cucumber multi purpose wipes". They would sell alot more in that case!!

Summary: Great product for a great price. Has a lot of uses but face cleansing wouldnt be high on the list
