I have used a few products from the Tesco skin care range, most of them were aimed at women! But this doesn't bother me too much in my fight against the spots and dry skin. My Girlfriend bought this for me the other day when she went shopping and she told me that it would be really good for my skin as cucumber is supposed to freshen up your skin. (she can't use this as she has sensitive skin and can only use prescribed facial wash from her doctor). I always like to keep my face clean and I try to use face wash in the morning, the reason why she bought me this is because I was spending lots of money on face wash that didn't seem to justify the cost. I will now go into a bit more detail on this product and explain my experiences with it.

The bottle/Price:

I wasn't sure how much she paid for it, but a look online at tesco.com tells me that it costs £1.39 for a 150 ml bottle. This is a good price as it is much cheaper than other face washes on the shelf. The Bottle itself is white and has green images of cucumbers all over it, it is good looking and not instantly recognizable as a tesco product. The bottle is made from soft plastic and is easy to squeeze out the face wash onto your hands. The lid flips open and there is then a small hole visable where the face wash comes out of.

The face wash:

It is advertised as a scrub because of its gritty texture, Its not as gritty as others I have used and I wouldn't really say its a scrub. The Face scrub has a strange chemical type smell to it, Not too much like a cucumber. When you rub it onto your face it lathers up and you can feel it cleaning, After rinsing off your face does feel fresh and cleaner than it did before you used it. It hasnt reduced the spots on my face and I dont seem to look any better or fresher after use. I prefer to use a face scrub that actually scrubs away dirt from your pours, I dont feel that this product does that well enough for me. Its worth a try though as it may work better with different skin types! Plus, Im a guy and it may work better for girls.

Overall:

Im not too impressed with this product as it hasn't done much for me. I wont be buying anymore for myself once I have used up all the scrub. I can however tell you that I have been using the cucumber facial wipes and these have worked a treat, I will be writing a review on those very soon.
