Advantages: Works well, smells nice, cheap!

Disadvantages: There are none!

A few months ago, I started to notice that fresh 'youth glow' of my skin was fading, and I noticed visible pores appearing in certain places on my skin. I had started using a moisturising face cream months before, but realized that cleaning my face with a bit of soap and water was not cutting it anymore, and it was time to find myself a good skin care routine.
With a hectic family life, I needed something that was not time consuming, but also on the cheap side. I cannot afford to spend tens of pounds a month on various pots of miracle cures. During a weekly shopping trip, I wanted my usual packet of make up remover wipes, and spotted a whole range of products that seemed ideal for me, and really cheap, too!
One of the first products I bought was this Cucumber Face Wash. It is a 150ml plastic tube with a flip cap. I do assume the whole range is just called 'Cucumber' as there is no other stand out name on any of the products packaging other than this. The whole range is in white packaging, all the writing is in a soft green, and there is a cucumber patterned design around the top of the tube. It all looks very fresh, simple and 'young'.

Apart from the packaging, what really jumped out at me was the price - just 74p for the tube! Bargain if it works!

The blurb on the back of the tube tells us - ' This range has been enriched with Cucumber extract for its natural moisturising and soothing properties, helping to gently care for your skin. The gentle formulation cleanses your skin, removing impurities, leaving your face feeling fresh and renewed'

So, does it?

To use, I wet my face with warm water, and squeeze a small amount of the wash into my hand. Its a clear gel, not too thick, and not really runny, a good consistency. I then rubbed my hands together, and the gel begins to lather up. It doesn't create a thick foam, just an almost wet soap like look. I then apply it to my forehead, cheeks, chin and nose, and begin to rub into my whole face. Apparently massaging it in in circular movements is the best way to use it. Once my whole face is covered, I rinse it off with warm water and pat my face dry. (Do not get it in your eyes, it stings! The tube says if you do, to rinse out with warm water, which works!)

After the first use, my skin felt smoother, and cleaner, but other than that there wasn't a huge difference. But after a week or so, there was a noticeable difference to my skin, the pores were less visible, it looked and felt younger and there was a glow to it. I cannot put this down to just the face wash, I do think its a mix of the other products I use too (which I am also about to review) but it is definitely working. I have been using the range of products daily for around 6 weeks now and my skin feels great.

The other plus for me is how quick it is, it takes less than a minute to cleanse my face with this, and as a busy mum time is of the essence! My whole skin care routine takes 5 minutes max, morning and night.

For 74p, this is an amazing buy, and something I will continue to buy for a long time, and at those prices it is easy to stock up and just pop a bottle in the trolley every time I do a shop.

Summary: An amazing little buy
