      Advantages

      Disadvantages

A briliant product at a reasonable price!

Having done a few cleansing face masks in the past I thought that it was time to do another one. My skin doesn't seem very normal at the minute some days it feels and looks not too bad but some other times it feels extremely oily and can be prone to blackheads. Normally when I use a face mask it doesn't normally do the correct job and if anything it feels worse.

After looking around Tesco I noticed that there wasn't that many available for what I wanted the product to do. Until I noticed the 'My Skin' product and thought with the bright blue packaging that I had to try it because it says that it cares for young skin. As I am 18 I thought this would be the best suited product for me as I want to keep my young skin as healthy as I can for my later years in life.
As I have sensitive skin I believed this to be the best product available for me.

      The Packaging:

It is a blue 75ml plastic squeezable tube with a flip top opening to the bottom of a small hole. The front is very brightly coloured with bold lettering. It says it is My Skin, Especially For Teenage Skin 'Honey helps draw out impurities whilst strawberry helps control blemishes' and that it helps keep pores clear and there some brightly coloured floral images on. The back of the tube it states information about the product and directions for use are given, warnings and ingredients are listed, size is stated and contact details for Tesco's are given, as this is their own product. It's a nice and easy to understand and the information is given in a simple but straight form so there aren't any long words about what the product contains its all very simple. The bright colours and basic modern design does aim for the younger generation.

What Tesco say about the product:

"My Skin cleansing face mask gently targets pores to remove the build up of daily dirt in your skin. Honey helps draw out the skins impurities whilst also moisturising. Strawberry extract helps control blemishes. Cimicifuga extract helps control excess oil and shine. Dermatologically tested."

Well yes basically in a simple format it contains strawberry extracts and honey to make sure all the dirt and rubbish from off your face is gone to make you feel clean leaving no oils.

      How I did it:

Well me just being me I dont really tend to follow instructions and I just go with my own gut feeling and opinion on how to do things. I suppose that isn't a good idea at times but still that doesn't stop me.
So I started by dampening my face with a cool flannel then squeezed some of the product onto my finger and began to cover my face with it, the smell of honey really came through to me and the sweet smell of strawberries. It was a much better smell than previous face masks I have tried before.

The product is a very natural light brown almost greyish look about it and is extremely thick. There is a lot to use of the product and there is plenty left to do parts of another persons face or just leave it for another time.

Avoiding the eyes I put the face mask on and instead of leaving it for the recommended 5-10 minutes I leave it on for approximately 15 minutes.

Once I was ready to take the face mask off I washed it off with warm water and my face was already seeming a much cleaner and fresh one. According to the instructions you then have to wash with cold water to close the pores. After I had done this I pat my face dry with a towel.

My face had a much healthier glow than before and felt much more cleaner than ever before. Even though I wash my face twice a day I was extremely surprised at how clean it felt and would definitely recommended the product to anybody wanting to feel fresh and clean with sensitive skin. I will be buying the product more regularly now to ensuring I am keeping my face the healthiest and cleansed it can be.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        try it

I don't often use cleansing masks as I don't seem to have the time and never really see the point, however after recieving this for christmas I have given it a couple of goes and I am actually really surprised at the results!

It is the Tesco 'My skin' range which is designed for teenage / younger skin. It comes in a white tube (the same shape as a hand cream one, but slightly larger) it has pink and blue design on it which is slightly floraly.

On first use when you squeeze it, it comes out very fast and you are often left with too much. It smells really good, it has a fresh smell to it which makes you feel (as well as looking) clean. It also has a slight sweetness to the smell of it. It comes out as a peachy / pinky clear colour which feels quite sticky to the touch.
You simply apply it to your face, make sure you have no make up on and that you have just / recently washed it. You apply it in circular motions and it does feel quite sticky and gooey when doing this.

Once you have done this you leave it on for the guided amount of time (between 5 and 10 minutes) and during this time you can potter around doing your own thing. I noticed that it doesn't feel as tight as some others when wearing this and it easy to smile and talk when on. It does dry slightly clear so can be hard to know when it is ready to come off so you just have to go by the guided time.

I washed it off with just some soapy water and after doing so my skin felt so unbeleivably soft - I was truly amazed! My skin looked brilliant and didn't seem patchy and any spots had dramatically reduced in size and redness - I was really, very impressed!

It costs just £2 and I am really pleased with this, so once this one has run out I will be going back to get another one.

        Overall this is completley reccomended!

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

Perfect for people with sensitive skin!

A couple of times a week I do like to use a deep cleansing face mask. I have hard to handle skin that is prone to zits and black heads, I have an oily t-zone area and dry skin in patches as well as some rather open pores and in some cases they are rather congested. Add to that, that I'm no spring chicken at 35 years old and I like face masks that promote radiance and if at all possible help lines and/or wrinkles. Yep I'm asking for an awful lot and I'm yet to find a product such as that....I'll keep you posted on my quest for it though lol.

I tend to buy face masks for particular reasons and this one is aimed at teenage skin though I read about this product in a national newspaper being recommended for anyone with sensitive skin...and I do possess that so at £1.99 a tube I decided I really must try it out!

          The Packaging:

White 75ml plastic squeezable tube with a flip top opening to the bottom of it concealing a small hole. On the front in bright multi-coloured lettering I'm told it is My Skin, Especially For Teenage Skin 'Honey helps draw out impurities whilst strawberry helps control blemishes' and I'm also told that it contains no parabens and that it helps keep pores clear and there some flowers are drawn on. On the back of the tube I'm told a bit about the product and directions for use are given, warnings and ingredients are listed, size is stated and contact details for Tesco's are given. It's a nice and informative, easy to use and understand tube. With it's bright colouring it does look aimed at the younger generation though to be perfectly honest with you.

A Bit About The Product According To The Back Of The Tube:

My Skin cleansing face mask gently targets pores to remove the build up of daily dirt in your skin. Honey helps draw out the skins impurities whilst also moisturising. Strawberry extract helps control blemishes. Cimicifuga extract helps control excess oil and shine. Dermatologically tested.

          Me Using It:

I'm so impressed with this product. Like I touched on earlier I do suffer with temperamental skin that is really sensitive and this suits that perfectly and for ladies like myself (or men, I can't see why an earth not!) I totally recommend it.

The face mask squeezes out of it's tube with real ease. The consistency of it is rather thick and glossy and it's a lightish brown in colour and it's smooth. It has a slight scent of honey and strawberry that really isn't overpowering and sickly sweet or anything like that and as I say it just smells light and natural.

All you do is smoother it over a freshly cleansed and very clean face and/or neck that is damp. You don't need loads but you do need to avoid the eyes (although I don't as it's so mild to be honest) and then after 5-10 minutes you simply rinse it off with warm water and then to close pores splash the face with cold water and pat it dry and that's it...job done.

Now when applying this it really is easy and it's a none sticky formula and a little goes a long way indeed as it's a little greasy when applying it. If I use loads the mask doesn't 'set' however if I use a little it does dry and when it's on it doesn't feel heavy or uncomfortable and it really does rinse off with ease.

          Verdict:

Well this is a really fabulous product! Not only do I feel that it deep down cleanses my skin but it also really makes my skin radiant. It's none irritating and even if I have any spots or sore areas on my face and/or neck this is so mild it makes nothing it shouldn't agitated.

So skin is deep down cleansed and smooth and fresher, it also unclogs and tightens pores and leaves the skin smelling great. I notice with using this a couple of times a week I am getting less spots and blackheads appearing and if I use this before putting on my make up I have noticed I get less of an oily t-zone as well as it seems to banish excess oils from appearing slightly.

I also noticed if I use this on a day when I need to apply make up I use less make-up as my skin feels and looks smoother and make up definitely does go on easier and looks less congested.

This is a real mild face mask and it really is perfect for youngsters or people such as I with very sensitive skin. It's easy to use, remove and the effects are really great!
