      Very helpful

Think I will spend abit more to get a better quality face wash

Im still on a bit of a quest in regards to a good all rounder face wash but yet to find one that ticks all the boxes. I bought this item from Tesco.com during a grocery shop as part of a promotional deal which was 3 for 2. On its own this product costs for £1.29 for a 150ml tube.

      Why did I buy it?

Mainly because it was in a promotional offer and I was very curious about this range. As mentioned already, Im looking for a good facial wash to use day and night, that is going to provide some moisture, clean my face well and not dry it out. Ive tried many over the last 6 months but haven't quite got one that delivers what I want. I would prefer a facial wash as time isn't on my side and I tend to find this a quick way to clean my face.

      How is it packaged?

It comes in a plastic white tube size 150ml. Product comes out at the bottom by flipping up lid and squeezing it out. The overall look is simple but quite pretty. On the front there are blue outlined flowers, with the ' Tesco ' logo on the top left hand side. Underneath that is the product name, Cleansing Face Wash and mentions its fragrance free and suitable for sensitive skins.

On the back it has directions of use, general warnings, ingredient lists and mentions it has a 12 month shelf life when opened.

Aqua,Sodium Laureth Sulfate ,Glycerin ,Sodium Chloride ,Sodium Cocoamphoacetate ,Cocamidopropyl Betaine ,Cocamide DEA ,Citric Acid ,Tocopheryl Acetate ,Disodium EDTA ,Magnesium Nitrate ,Sodium Hydroxide , Methylchloroisothiazolinone ,Magnesium Chloride ,Methylisothiazolinone

      How to use

Take a small amount of the face wash into wet hands and lather up. Massage over face then rinse of with warm water.

      Who is this product for?

Designed for sensitive skin so product is meant to be gentle and kind. Soap and fragrance free means it should clean the face effectively, making skin feel fresh and soft without being harsh.

      How did it perform?

Facial wash is clear in colour and gel like in form and texture. Quite thick but pretty much the consistency I expected from a product like this.

I found it really odd there was no fragrance to it. I knew that would be the case as I specifically chose this one as it mentioned its suitable for sensitive skin but I have discovered that the lack of fragrance meant I immediately wasn't that keen on using this product ( I now know for future reference! ).

Despite following the basic instructions for use, this product didn't lather. I could count the number of tiny bubbles on one hand. I had milky water on my hands, not lather. So what I had to do was use even more product to produce more milky water to pop on my face to ensure I could clean myself effectively.

I didn't like the consistency of the product on my face-far too thin with no substance but did just about clean my skin.

Afterwards I didn't feel or see any difference to my skin. It felt and looked clean, but that's about it. It also felt a little dry and tight, but that was soon rectified by a big dollop of moisturiser.

Would I buy this again? No. Im glad I tried it as sometimes you can find some decent finds at really good prices but this isn't one of them. As a basic face wash it needed to at least deliver a lather which it didn't. From that point it went downhill from there. If you want something cheap, is going to clean your face and your skin is in good condition ( maybe someone who is a teenager as example ) then this could be ok, but not for somebody who needs a product that performs not just functions.
