I bought this Tesco Sensitive Skin Purifying Cleansing lotion from my local Tesco Express for just £2.90. It comes in a 200ml clear plastic bottle and it has a blue flip top with a hole in the top and you just need to gently squeeze the bottle to release the liquid. It is specifically designed for sensitive skin but it would be suitable for any type of skin as it does not contain any harsh ingredients.
The liquid itself has quite a fresh and clean smell and I can still smell this on my face for some time after using the lotion. I use it on my face and neck and I can feel it absorbing into my skin. I will tip the cleanser out onto a cotton wool pad or cotton wool ball and then gently rub it over my face but keeping clear of my eyes as I like to use a separate eye make up remover.
As I am using it I can feel a lovely coolness instantly and my face always feels very fresh and clean afterwards. I am always surprised at the amount of dirt on the cotton pad even if I am not wearing any make up as it is surprising how much dirt which can accumulate on your face during the day. After use I will sometimes apply a toner and then moisturiser or sometimes just a moisturiser to complete my cleansing routine.
I have been very pleased with the results of this cleanser. It is probably not one which I would normally choose but it was really the one suitable one for me at the time when I bought it. I have been using this cleanser now for about three months and I have not used even a quarter of it so it is good value.
I recently purchased this cleanser from Tesco, as it is part of my economy drive! I previously used the Simple cleanser, which I know works for my skin. However, I thought I would try and find a different one which is slightly cheaper!
Whilst browsing the cosmetic shelves of Tesco, I decided to give their sensitive skin cleanser a go. I have to be very careful when selecting skin products as I have horrendously dry skin. I chose the sensitive skin cleanser as I wanted to be careful about not drying my skin out!
This cleanser comes in a 200ml bottle, which is white with a green lid and in a bottle with a flip top. Unlike other products in this brand, it doesn't stand on the flippy lid. However it balances on the bottle and the lid means that it balances well on the lid, should you need to stand it upside down to get everything out, it stays put! The bottle is quite nice looking and has wording on the front advertising its green tea and vitamin E complex. Vitamin E is often advertised as being good for your skin and prevents dryness. The bottle advertises the product as being scientifically developed to cleanse and smooth skin. So far so good!
The back of the bottle has all the usual info about the ingredients, how to use it and the health warnings.
Application of this product is easiest using a pad of cotton wool. Squeezing the product onto the cotton wool is a white colour and is thicker than I thought it would be. It's not too thick that it looks like it will clog up your skin. I applied this cleanser on cotton wool and used it to remove my make up. It came off well, including water proof mascara. It didn't require much rubbing as I didn't want to irritate my skin! Afterwards, it felt like something light had been applied to my skin and hasn't dried it out. Obviously I wasn't expecting it to moisturise my skin but I thought it would feel drier than it normally would with my other cleanser, which it didn't. It works well and serves its purpose!
This product is available in Tesco stores, in their own skin care range. I purchased this for 84p which is an absolute bargain in comparison with other cleansers. I brought it while it was on sale, but it's still great value even if you are paying the full price.
When it comes to cleansing I am a real demon about it. Possessing sensitive skin and being a heavy make-up wearer I really do like to make sure I always remove it all but I also cleanse and tone first thing in the morning and at night also (even if not wearing make-up). So when I saw this in my local Tesco store priced at 92p instead of it's usual £1.83 price tag I couldn't resist trying it out!
White and turquoise 200ml bottle (turquoise lid/cap at the top which conceals a small hole to the top of it). The writing on the bottle is in turquoise and white and on the front I'm told it is Tesco 'New Improved' Purifying Cleansing Lotion which is for sensitive skin and is fragrance free, dermatologically tested and mild and gentle. On the back of the bottle I'm told a bit about the product, directions for use are given, warning and ingredients are given, contact details for Tesco are there and finally the size is stated (as I've told you already) and there is a bar-code on there. Simple looking bottle, that doesn't look cheap and actually appears functional more than anything else so I felt confident buying it.

Directions For Use....
Use the tips of your fingers to delicately massage into the face and neck using gentle upward strokes. Remove with cotton wool or make-up remover wipes. Follow with the sensitive skin soothing toning lotion. Use morning and evening as part of your sensitive skin 3-step cleanse, tone, moisturise regime.
Well I use cotton wool as it's less messy than using the lotion with fingertips and making mud pies on the face when removing make up lol.
The lotion itself is white, fairly thin and glossy in it's appearance. I dispense a small amount of the unfragranced, slightly greasy lotion onto my cotton wool pad (or cotton wool) and gently wipe over my face until I'm satisfied my face and neck is clean. A little goes a long way and it really is soothing and fuss free to use.
I get through a couple of cotton wool pads and this stuff really does gently lift away grease, grime and make up with ease. It removes glitter products and waterproof mascara with no rubbing or big effort required. It doesn't upset my sensitive skin and I haven't had any skin problems aggigated by this stuff. I really like it's mild and gentle formulation.
I'm left with a clean face that is smooth and soft and not greasy or dried up and it's left feeling and looking fresh and clean. It's up to you if you tone afterwards, personally I do just to make sure there is no residue left on my sensitive skin and to feel extra fresh but as I say that's up to you and you don't have to.
A really good skin cleanser, I find this simple to use and it works really well indeed. I like not having to scrub at my face to remove ten ton of muck off it and I like the way my skin feels after using it too!
A great buy that lasts ages (cos you don't need much at all) and it's reliable no matter what job it's faced with!
Usually priced £1.83 only in Tesco!
