      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Not for me!

Skin cleansers are something I pick up and buy regularly. I do use make up removing wipes which I think are great if in a hurry but as a rule I prefer a traditional cleanser and toning routine each day to make sure I'm deep down clean on a regular basis as I have sensitive and temperamental skin.

Just recently I have been shopping more in my local Tesco. i like being able to food shop whilst grabbing a new outfit and a CD to listen to before I go out of an evening etc. I find the store can fulfill many of my needs under one roof and cheaply t that!

The other day I saw this cleanser reduced from it's usual price of 99p to 49p and so grabbed a couple of bottles cos I don't half get through the stuff! Even at 99p for this size it's cheap as chips!

      The Packaging....

White plastic bottle with a light green flip top lid situated to the top of it concealing a small hole which is flimsy. On the front in light green (to match the lid) and black writing I'm told it is Skin Wisdom 'Daily Care' Gentle Cleansing Lotion which contains Oatmilk for softening and Yucca for cleansing and that the product is suitable for all skin types. On the back of the bottle (this time all in black writing I'm told a bit about the product and how to use it, ingredients are listed, contact details for Tesco are given, size (200ml) and the recycle symbol are displayed and finally there is a bar-code on there. I'm not too keen on not being able to see the lotion through the bottle to well as I like to know exactly when I'm running out of stuff but other than that it is a very simple looking bottle and functional enough.

A Bit About The Product According To The Back Of The Bottle....

Skin Wisdom is a holistic range of skin care designed to bring you the benefits of professional therapies in your home.

Bharti Says (The Creator Of This Line Of Products).....

Treat skin to some daily therapy with this cleansing lotion. Totally in tune with your skin, it's gentle formula lifts away the grime of the day to leave skin feeling cleansed and conditioned.

      Directions For Use....

Massage gently into face and neck with fingertips using small circular movements and working upwards and outwards towards the hairline. Remove excess cleanser with cotton wool. To get the best from your skin, use morning and evening as part of your Skin Wisdom regime. Dermatologically tested.

      Me Using It....

Nowhere on this product does it say to use it to remove make up. I don't think your meant to and I think this is to cleanse away everyday grease and grime/impurities rather than ten ton of make up. I have used this on a cotton wool pad and wiped away light make up (nothing waterproof though) and it has lifted it off well enough and I used a toner after just to make sure I was clean and was perfectly happy with those results.

All you need is a little of this 'garden fresh' smelling runny white liquid (I mean a little or it's messy!). I chose to use it morning and evening (as recommended) but I don't use my fingertips I always use cotton wool cos it's messy otherwise! I gently wipe over my face, it smells lovely and natural and not too heavy and it's fine for wiping around the eyes with (and I have sensitive eyes). Once done skin is left feeling very soft indeed and all you have to do is make sure there is no residue left on the skin. Personally as I mentioned earlier I always use a toner (which at the moment is Witch Hazel) and that's it...job done and the process is quite simple.

      Results....

Well this isn't any good for the removal of heavy make-up but say you used this just in the mornings before moisturising etc you may like it due to it's mildness. Personally I find it tightens the skin on my face a bit too much and makes it uncomfortable however the skin texture itself is left smooth. I don't feel deep down clean after using this due to the tightness it creates in my skin and it sort of feels clammy on the inside. It's hard to explain! I haven't had a break out of spots or anything but when I look on cotton wool after using it I am usually surprised that it's come away from my face rather clean every single time and for me it's just too mild I think and I need a product that removes make-up too!
