I bought Tesco's Vitamin E Face Scrub about a month ago for the first time. In the past I've gone for more expensive branded facial scrubs but decided to give this a try due to it being so much cheaper, I won't be buying it again though.

The face scrub is a disappointment compared to other competing products. I've found it to be a bit watery and it doesn't produce a good lather on the skin. After use, my skin doesn't feel as freshened and clean as I'd hoped. There are a few exfoliating 'bead' type things in this product but not as many as you'd expect from a 'scrub'. Where a more expensive product will be full of little gritty beads that really get rid of all the bits of dead skin and the random dirt that seems to attach to your face after a day at work, this Tesco face scrub doesn't seem to do any exfoliating at all! It doesn't matter how much you scrub and rub this cream in, if there are only 5 little beady bits, they aren't going to do anything!

The packaging of this product isn't terribly attractive, which doesn't normally matter if the product is good, but for some reason seems like even more of a negative when the product is poor! The peach colour won't match most modern bathrooms, and the plain design makes it look really cheap, almost like a value product.

The scent of the face scrub is pretty neutral, nothing offensive but not the lovely refreshing, invigorating smell you hope for in a face scrub. It mainly just smells of ordinary soap.

So all in all, I won't be buying this again, I will probably try other 'own brands' rather than go back to paying more, but this one has been a definite failure. I don't think the condition of my skin is much worse for using this product, but its harder work to keep it feeling and looking clear and healthy.
