On my last birthday I was given a set of Thalgo products including a 30ml tube of Thalgo Jeunesse Pure Velvet Cleansing Cream All Skin Types or Crème Onctuese Demaquillante Toues peaux.
There are no instructions on the back of the tube as to how to use this but I assume that Thalgo would hope that people using their products would know how to use a cleansing cream. I'm not going to reinvent the wheel by explaining in detail how to use a cleanser but suffice to say there are two simple ways to use this cleansing cream. You can massage the cleanser into your face and:
* rinse it off with cool water or
* wipe off with cotton wool
I have found both of the above methods equally effective but my preference is to use cotton wool. The "Pure Velvet" part of the product name is no lie as there is a pleasing velvety feel when applying the cleanser directly to your face or when using it with cotton wool. It doesn't dry your skin out like some cleansers can do and I have noticed my skin feels softer after using the cleanser. It claims to make your skin smoother (which I would agree with) and youthful looking (which I can't tell as I always look like me in the mirror)!
There is a very slight scent to this cleanser which is very mild and certainly not unpleasant. I understand it has been infused with an "enlivening floral aroma". As this is suitable for all skin types there should be no adverse reaction to anyone using it unless they have a specific issue with any of the ingredients which I'll list at the end of the review.
Thalgo advises that no parabens are used in this product and that it is mineral oil free. It's also propylene glycol free and contains no GMO. There are no animal derived ingredients in the cleanser apart from beeswax. The cream has been produced with red algae and antioxidant mango extract to energize the skin.
This cleanser can be purchased for around £24 for 150ml from Amazon and other retailers although it doesn't seem to be too easily available in the U.K.
I'm happy to rate this cleanser as adecent 4 out of 5 stars. It does leave my skin looking really fresh and my skin does feel very smooth to the touch after use. I'm fairly sure I'll be buying this cleanser once my current tube has run out.
