Introduction

This is my first review in the fashion/beauty section. Not the most masculine of topics but I thought I would give it a go with this cream. The cream I am reviewing is the Aloe soothing day cream from the Bodyshop.

The cream itself

The cream comes in a day and night version. The version I will review will be the day cream.I have used this cream for quite a while now and I use it almost daily due to my dry /sensitive skin problems. It comes in a light green circular container with a screw on lid. The rrp is £9 for 50ml. It is described as being ultra gentle and gives the effect of smoothing, calming moisturisation. It is fragrance, colour and alcohol free and contains no added preservatives. As with all body shop products, it is fair-trade and has not been tested on animals. The ingredients include Aloe Vera and water along with glycerine and a range of other chemicals which are listed on the bottom of the container.

The cream is white in colour and is easily absorbed by the skin and gives it gentle hydration. It has the smell of aloe which is not the nicest but it does the job of keeping the skin fresh and gives a cool soothing feel. There is also no irritation when I have used this product. It does feel a bit greasy when initially applying but this does go down after a while. You don't need to use a lot of the cream to get the desired effect and this helps in making it last a bit longer.

Overall

I would recommend this cream for people with sensitive skin and even those without. It is a little pricey but for me it works and I would give it 4 out of 5 dooyoo stars.
