A while ago in the Body Shop sale I picked up a few cleansing products from their old-school range. They had brought back a number of products that were popular in the 90s, complete with original packaging. My bottle, which was the same clear plastic as the current ones, had a black lid and a retro-style label. The bottle is made from 100% recycled plastic and was fully recyclable. I bought the Cucumber Cleansing Milk and Cucumber Cleansing Toner. This review will focus on the Cleansing Milk.
It’s easy to see the white cleansing milk in the clear plastic bottle, meaning it’s easy to see how much you have left. The lotion is made with Community Trade organically grown soya oil, and it is designed to be cleansing and lightly moisturising.
The lotion is quite runny and has a faint fresh scent. To use, I apply some to a cotton wool pad and wipe it over my face. It feels cooling and soothing on my skin and doesn’t cause any irritation. It does a good job of removing makeup and making my skin feel clean, although I do prefer to use a specialist eye makeup remover if I am wearing heavy eye makeup. After use I apply toner and then moisturiser. I tend to use the product in the evening only, as I prefer to use a facial wash in the morning.
Regular use suggests that the cleansing milk is doing a good job of keeping my face clean and blemish-free. Overall I recommend the product, and at £4 for a bottle it is reasonably good value.

HOW TO USE?
Knead a little sum into skin and wipe away with a cotton fleece cushion. On the off chance that item gets into eyes, flush with clean water.
So it can truly uproot make-up (not certain with different sorts of make-up like mascara and eyeliner) despite the fact that I need to sprinkle water following an hour in light of the fact that my face; albeit delicate and feels light' is not smooth with the purifying drain on. I utilized toner as a part of cotton cushions a while later and there's no bb cream buildup left. Erroneously purchasing this is a decent decision.
Pros about The Body Shop Cucumber Cleansing Milk
Simple taking care of bundle with flip top
Exceptionally gentle cucumber aroma
Gives cooling calming impact to the skin
Uproots soil neatly
Helpful in uprooting make up
Effortlessly accessible at TBS counters
Cons about The Body Shop Cucumber Cleansing Milk
Not exceptionally productive in evacuating inflexible gleams of eyeshadows.
Bundling is not extremely fascinating to me.
The odor is not extremely charming. I can't precisely relate the scent to anything comparative.
I do like using cleansing milk as I prefer the thin consistency and find that they usually do just a good a job as the more thicker concentrated products which I find sometimes leave a residue on my face. I find a good cleansing milk will remove all traces of make up from my face and leave it feeling refreshed and product free. I was actually given this Body Shop cucumber cleansing milk by a friend who said she just didn't like the smell of it and have looked online and you can get this for around £3 to £4.
It is a 200ml bottle which will usually last me for around three to four months as I also do use wipes as well as cleanser. I can say that it has never irritated my skin or caused any irritation. The liquid is white and milky in appearance and it does smell of sweet cucumbers but isn't too strong or overpowering.
To use I will tip a small amount onto a cotton wool pad and find that you don't really need much as it seems to go a long way. It stays on the cotton wool pad without soaking right in and I find that one application is enough to wipe over my whole face and neck. I will use small outward sweeping motions starting at the top of my face going down to my neck and then will finish off by wiping around my eyes.
My skin feels soft and quite hydrated afterwards and I don't feel the need to use anything else straight away although I will use a moisturiser or night cream just before going to bed. I love the cooling feeling I get when I am using this cleansing milk and I think that my skin does look smooth and fresh afterward.
I do like this cleanser and will continue to use it and would buy it again, so I do recommend it and if you can pick it up for £3 I think it is a good price for a good quality product which is gentle but removes every trace of my make up and leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh.
I bought this product to take off my make up, and thought the price was rather reasonable for £4 for 250ml. It is one of the cheaper cleansers that the body shop sell, and I think it good for the money.
I have had my cleanser for several months and have a lot left in the bottle. The bottle is clear so you can see how much is left, and the black cap has a small hole so not too much comes out at one time. I find it easy to only get the amount I need on a cotton bud for example.
The cleanser is green in colour and smells really nice and refreshing. The cucumber scent is pleasant and not too much. I use the cleanser to sweep over my face to remove make up and it does the job well. I have to use a couple of cotton wool pads to get all my make up off but I have found this with most cleansers. I feel it removes my make up well, and leaves my skin feeling smooth, soft and moisturised.
I have also found that the cleanser is not too greasy on my skin; I have t-zone skin and I found it works well for me. If you want to try a different toner I would recommend this one for good value, removing make up well and leaving your skin soft and smooth.
I bought this and the Cucumber freshening water for £3.50(total) from a Body Shop at Home Representative but instore these retail for £4 each.
"A beauty classic returns. This gentle cleansing milk refreshes skin as it wipes away make-up and the grime of the day.Cleansing.Refreshing. Gentle on the Skin."
This definately lives up to what i claims. Make up is removed effortlessly as the easily blendable consistency lifts almost all of your make-up easily off your face. I find when using this cleanser, two smaller applications (onto a cotton wool pad) work better than one larger application.
This cleanser is suitable for all skins types and is also suitable for sensitive skin, which I suffer with.
The cleanser is very refreshing and cooling when applied and leaves your skin feeling smooth and looking dewy. I suffer with Dry/Sensitive skin so the slight residue that is left on your face does not bother me, however people with oily skin may dislike this factor. In saying this, the majority of the residue that the cleanser leaves on your face is removed with the toner or by lightly pattign your face with a towel.
If you do not plan on using a toner following this then you may feel that the excess oil left on your face is needed to be removed with a towel or a tissue.
If you want to be left feeling refreshed and moisturised with a naturally glowing skin then this is perfect.
A little of each product goes a long way; so you will be picking up a bargain.
Definately recommend for dull/ dry/normal skin.
I wouldn't normally consider the Body Shop for skincare as on the whole their products are beyond my budget. Last time I was there though I spotted this cucumber cleanser which is much cheaper than most of their cleansers, at the much more reasonable price of £4 for the 250ml bottle so I thought I'd give it a go.
The bottle it comes in is clear plastic so you can see easily how much is left, and it has a black flip top lid that makes it easy and convenient to use. It looks nice but not as high quality as the Body Shop's more expensive cleansers, but that's surely to be expected.
They call it a milk but I'd say it's more of a lotion really, having a thicker consistency than I would expect of a cleansing milk. The texture is smooth and creamy and the scent is lovely and fresh like cucumber, and it smells natural.
It's really easy to use by just massaging it into the skin then wiping it off with a tissue, or if you're in even more of a rush just use it on cotton wool and wipe across the skin. It massages in easily and I only need to use a small amount. It feels really lovely to use and manages to feel refreshing and comforting all at the same time.
I was really surprised at how quickly and easily this dissolved my makeup, especially my eye makeup. It works so well for this and leaves the skin on my eye area feeling really clean and fresh as well as moisturised, soft and smooth.
They say it is suitable for all skin types but unfortunately I found it just doesn't suit my oily skin at all. My skin just doesn't feel clean after using it, even though it does have a fresh feeling form the cooling sensation of the cucumber. My skin does feel soft and smooth after but it really feels like it still needs a good wash so I think this is definitely better for drier skin types. I'll continue using mine as a makeup remover but not as a cleanser from now on.
Body shops cucumber cleansing milk is excellent having used plenty of cleansers in my time I have finally found one that works The cucumber cleanser is for oily/problem skin it smells ok its a light cleanser that really does clean you skin really well and is great at getting lipstick off! It leaves your skin feeling tingly clean and not at all greasy like some cleansing lotions can do Its reasonably priced I tend to buy a big bottle of it as this lasts me forever. My last bottle was a bit of a bargain it was £4.50 for the large bottle size as it was in body shops sale!
