Having been converted to the Body Shop's seaweed face wash and moisturiser, I decided to follow all that old-school beauty advice and introduce the toner into the equation. The seaweed products are perfect for my fussy (but not sensitive) combination skin - I am prone to oiliness and a few spots, but also get dry flaky patches, particularly if I use harsh cleansing products. This toner is certainly no exception - it is fab!

I wear a full "face" of makeup every day, and the toner helps to remove any traces that the face wash / cleanser misses. Despite me thinking my face is clean, I always find traces of makeup or debris. It feels lovely and fresh on the skin (and despite the seaweed name, it does not smell at all of algae!) It makes the pores feel tighter, and my face feels squeaky clean and fresh without being over-processed. I use cotton wool pads for this toner, which work great (tissue not so good, I found!)

Over the long-term, this toner has definitely improved the condition of my skin. The main impact has been that I have had fewer blemishes, and also less dry skin or flakiness (it seems to gently condition / remove these). I fond it works great as part of a regime with the other seaweed products, although it would probably be fine mixed and matched with other ranges too. It is definitely less harsh and a more "clever" formula that other toners I have tried - including designer ones which I found sometimes strip the skin and sting. This one doesn't sting at all - it does not feel astringent on my skin.

If yo are looking to try this along with other seaweed products, it is worth looking at the bag you can buy that contains travel-size versions of this along with the face wash, day cream and night cream. I tend to buy this bag every time, as I like the smaller bottles and the fact that it is better for my cash flow than buying four full-size products at once. In fact, I am buying at least one of these bags as a christmas pressie too.
