      vitamin e facial mist

I adore The Body Shop's range of vitamin E products. I have been using various items from the range for quite a few years now and love how they make my skin feel and more importantly, how they make me feel inside and out. I think they are really good quality beauty products and I love the vitamin E ingredient which is fairly different from most beauty products on the market today. One of my favourite products from the range is this vitamin E face mist.

This mist is like a refreshing blast of gorgoeus watery rose water that hydrates and refreshes my face. The mist comes in a little bottle with a spray function at the top so when you spray it on your face you get a really nice soft cooling sensation from the mist. I tend to hold this fairly far away from my face so when I do spray it it will cover my whole face with just one or two sprays. The liquid then dries fairly quickly and you are just left with this dewy fresh faced feeling and a nice scent on your skin too.

The scent has a lovely rosewater smell to it. This is quite a light delicate rose smell and not overpowering or too flowery like some rose scents can be. I find it subtle but intoxicating all at the same time.

I love to use this spray in summertime when I have come in from being outside and my face is all hot and sticky. If I can't wash it straight away its great to be able to spray this on and feel my face cool. Its also nice when my face is feeling a bit tight and dry such as after the gym or when I have been swimming, its a perfect way of quickly adding moisture to my face.

This spray is great for setting your make up too so when I have done my look for a night out I give it a quick spray with this mist and everything seems to look a bit nicer and brighter and I find mt eyeshadow stays nice and put, as does my mascara too so its nice to be able to spray this before I go out.

A 100ml bottle costs £8 and is one beauty product I definitely recommend.

      Disadvantages

4/5 a lovely face mist which I'll be buying again.

      ==Price and Availability==

Although I tend to use a wide range of different products I do particularly like Vitamin E products from The Body Shop. I received this face mist in a gift set that I got last Christmas and the original bottle is still going strong even though I've used it quite a lot! The Body Shop Vitamin E Face Mist comes in one size, a 100ml bottle which costs £8.

      ==The Body Shop Vitamin E Face Mist==

The face mist comes in a small baby pink plastic bottle with a spray top lid which has a little cap; the bottle is the perfect size for carrying around in your bag with no worries about it leaking. The mist is to be used for refreshment, moisture and protection and can also be used for after applying make up to help set it. To use the face mist you simply hold the bottle about 10cm away from the face and spray it once or twice all over as required. The Vitamin E helps to repair and protect skin whilst the rosewater in the mist is an anti-inflammatory which also helps to moisturise. As with all Body Shop product this isn't tested on animals, this product is also suitable for all skin types.

      ==My Experience==

The spray is really easy to use and I find a quick spray releases a lovely fine mist which is very refreshing. The rosewater scent really comes through, it's quite florally without being too overpowering and I think they've struck the balance just right. The mist is only very light so it's immediately absorbed into the skin some face mists leave you with the residue of the liquid on your face but this one doesn't at all. I usually use this mist to set my make up, I don't wear huge amounts but I usually find that when using this product it tends to stay in place for the whole day. During last summer this spray was a god send, it's so refreshing and makes skin feel really hydrated even on the really hot days, it gives you an instant boost. I haven't noticed any long term benefit from using this spray, my skin's pretty much the same as always, maybe a little softer but it's not particularly noticeable.

      ==Overall==

Being a fan of Vitamin E products in general I really like this face mist, it instantly refreshes skin on hot days and helps make up to stay in place too. The bottle is a little expensive at £8 but it does last a very long time, I use this spray probably 2 or 3 times a week, I opened the bottle probably about this time last year and I just finished it a couple of weeks ago. I will definitely be buying some more before summer in the hope that we will get some sunny days when I will need this refreshing little bottle of mist.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Great little product for the summer months.

I just love The Body Shop and I am often visiting their store or website spending too much money on their products. Recently I saw a box set of different Body Shop items at a discounted price and just couldn't resist buying it especially as it  contained some products I had been wanting to try for a while, one of which was this Vitamin E face mist, which I am reviewing today.

The Body Shops Vitamin e face mist is presented in a 100ml baby pink plastic bottle with a spray nozzle on top. The brand logo and product name is clearly displayed on the front along with claim that this product will provide an "instantly refreshing moisture boost". It is suitable for all skin types.

General information is given on the back including a rather extensive ingredients list, directions for use and general warnings. Once opened the product has a twelve month use by date.

As with all Body Shop products this face mist has not been tested on animals.

Vitamin E is great for the skin as it is an antioxidant which not only protects skin but helps repair it too. The spray also contains rose water, an anti inflammatory known for its soothing moisturising benefits.

To use you simply hold the bottle approximately 15cm from the face and apply a gentle spritz, personally I find 1-2 sprays is sufficient. The mist has a lovely floral rose scent, initially it is quite strong but this does fade a little once applied. I quite like the smell but believe it may no be to every ones taste. The mist dries into the skin quickly and efficiently leaving no unwanted sticky residues behind, it leaves skin feeling refreshed and hydrated. During this lovely weather we have been having recently this product has really come into its own, it really cools and soothes the face providing a well needed pick me up. It works well at giving a little moisture boost when needed. The bottle is plastic and light enough to pop into a handbag too which is always a bonus with this type of product. The mist can be applied to bare skin or over make up, it helps to set make up - keeping it in place throughout the day. My skin type is normal and I certanly feel this mist works well on my skin, those with dry skin may find it beneficial also, but those prone to oily skin may want to give this one a miss.

A 100ml bottle costs £8.00, initially I thought this to be a little expensive but in fairness the bottle has lasted me absolutely ages. However, as the Body Shop often have promotions and sales on it is certainly worth waiting for some sort of reduction rather than paying the full price.

        Vitamin E Face Mist

        The Product
        = = = = = =
The product I am reviewing is the Vitamin E Face Mist from The Body Shop. This product is part of the Vitamin range and claims to instantly refresh your skin and give it a moisture boost. The product is suitable for all skin types. The product has a delicate rosewater scent. I purchased this product after reading good reviews about it on The Body Shop website and on dooyoo & ciao. I am a fan of the Vitamin E range and have many products in this range which is also what prompted me to purchase this. Due to the small portable heater I have in my office at work, my skin can sometimes feel a little dry during the day. This sounded like a fantastic product to help give my skin a moisture boost and to refresh my skin during the day. You can also use this over make up as well which can help to set it. The Facial Mist comes in a pale pink bottle which is the colour of the products in the Vitamin E range. The bottle has a smooth finish to it and it clearly states what the product is. On the back of the bottle is a list of ingredients and instructions on how to use the face mist. The bottle has a spray top which is clear in colour and is protected by a clear plastic cap.

        Price/Availability
        = = = = = = = =
This is available to purchase in store or from The Body Shop website. The full price of this is £8.00; how-ever I purchased it when it was on offer on the website. This product currently has 30% off on the website bringing the price down to £5.60. The bottle comes in one size which is 100ml.

        Using the Product
        = = = = = = = =
Close eyes & mouth and holding the bottle about 15cm away spray onto face. I removed the cap and brushed the hair out of my face. I didn't have any make up on this day so would be spraying it onto my bare face. I held the spray bottle at least 15cm (6 inches) away from my face and closed my eyes and mouth. I then pressed down on the pump to release the fine mist. I actually sprayed this twice. As the mist landed on my face it felt really cool and very refreshing. I can imagine this would feel even nicer during the summer when it gets hot. The smell of roses was very obvious and I wasn't too sure I actually liked this smell. For me, this scent was a bit too florally for my liking; how-ever the smell didn't really last long and disappeared shortly after spraying the mist so it didn't really bother me. As the mist is very fine it doesn't take long to sink into the skin. My skin definitely felt very refreshed and much cooler than it had done before. The mist definitely gave my skin a moisture boost as my skin felt extremely smooth and soft. The skin on my face is reasonable soft anyway, how-ever this give it a bit of an extra moisture boost. I work approximately 7 hours a day and I spray this twice during the day onto my face and I feel that's enough to keep my skin hydrated. I have also used the mist over make up as suggested. As long as you spray the mist from the suggested 15cm distance then this won't ruin your make up. Shortly after applying my make-up I spray this over the top to help set the make-up and to also help make my skin feel refreshed. Although I have make up on the mist still cools down my face and it feels refreshes and because of this feeling it also feels as though it gives my skin a moisture boost as well. I find that my make-up stays looking good all day and my skin also stays feeling moisturised and fresh.

        Overall Opinion
        = = = = = = =
After reading so many good reviews about this product I had very high hopes of it. At full price I think this product is rather pricey and I'm not sure I would actually pay full price for the product. Although I'm not too keen on the rose scent this doesn't put me off the product as the scent doesn't last very long anyway. This product definitely lives up to its claims of refreshing your skin and giving it a moisture boost. I always carry this in my bag so I can refresh and give my skin a moisture boost whenever I need to. As I only use the product once or twice a day the bottle should last a good few months before it needs replacing. I would recommend this product to others, but would suggest purchasing it from The Body Shop website and looking out for any offers that they may have on this product. If you work in an air conditioned office this product is particularly good to keep skin feeling moisturised and hydrated. Due to the high price I can't give this product the full 5 stars.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        A little present for someone?

Also in my gigantic package from body shop was this face mist from the vitamin e range. It comes in a 100Ml bottle. This isnt something I would normally buy for myself, as you can get a bit bogged down in the amount of products you use in the morning.

It comes in a light pink bottle, with a spray top lid, on top of that theres also a removable clicky lid so you can transport it without worrying about it spilling.

At the moment I am not using this a lot because of it being winter, however in the summer when my skin is dryer because of the sun I can imagine it being a lot more useful. It states that it instantly refreshes, which is true, my skin feels light and cool a few minutes after use.
It also says that it can be used to set makeup, although I dont wear that much so I probably wouldnt rely on this to do that.

It has a rosewater smell and its not overpowering. I cant actually smell it around me even though its on my nose.

To use just hold about 6 inches from your face, shut your eyes and mouth and spray a few times on your face. Before you open your eyes and mouth just wipe them to get rid of the excess. Then leave it to sink in. It seemed to sink in almost instantly, but I didnt put too much on the first few times in case I was allergic to it.

Its a nice little product to keep your face moist and cool, but I wouldnt buy it especially as I have a lot of face moisturisers and I think if my face felt hot I would splash some water onto it instead to hydrate, as this product contains rose water anyway! It costs £8 online.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

a very pleasant surprise from the body shop

I don't normally shop in the body shop but I read some good reviews of this product. I was particularly attracted to the idea that it would help my make up from falling off my face.

The body shop vitamin E face mist comes in a pretty simplistic 100ml pink bottle with a push action spray nozzle at the top. It does not claim to keep your make up on on the bottle but it does claim to soften and refresh your skin. It costs £7.00 per bottle.

The reason I bought it was to set my make up but this quality was based on word of mouth not an actual claim of the body shop packaging. I didn't find that the product worked for sealing my make up but I do love the product for its refreshing and moisturizing qualities which is what it claims to do.

To use it you close your eyes and give your face a spritz. I find 3 sprays are enough to cover my face. Although, I didn't find that it kept my make on I did find that applying this spray on top of my make up improved the appearance of my skin. The spray gives your skin a dewy youthful sheen.

It contains rosewater which give the spray a lovely fresh delicate fragrance its light and feminine. The spray feels very refreshing on your skin. This product has now become a handbag staple of mine.

I work in an office all day with air conditioning and find that my skin feels tight and dry as the day wears on. A spritz of this wakens me up and gives my skin a much needed drink. As well as air conditioning in the office at home there's is the central heating another thing that isn't kind to my skin so again this product comes in handy at home. It lets you can moisturize your face without having to take off your make up and apply a cream.

I did not think I would like this product as much as I did. I had thought it would be a bit of a fad and not really that effective but I enjoy using this and have become a fan. I will buy another bottle when it starts to run out. I hope the body shop keep this product on the market as I think this will be something I will buy for many years to come.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

Recommended for any one who needs a wake up call throughout the day

The reason I first tried this face mist was I seemed to be looking in the mirror and the end of the day and looking like I had no make up and I remembered hearing this face mist was good at setting make up so thought it was worth a try. At the time there was a promotion on at The Body Shop so thought I had nothing to lose.

        .....Application.....
The way I use it is, once I have applied my make up on a morning I spray it about 4/5 (could use less) times onto my face, after a few seconds you can not see anything on the skin. You are advised to close your eyes and hold the bottle 10cm away from your face and spray once or twice (I should really use less!). It is also really good for keeping in your bag for a quick pick me up during the day, I can imagine it been lovely kept in the fridge so nice and cool.
Upon application the rosewater is what I can smell the most so it is really refreshing and a pleasure to use. Also the skin is left feeling really soft which is definitely a benefit of it.

        .....Price & Availability.....
You can get this face mist in store or online, I generally get all of my products fromThe Body Shop online because of the amazing offers, there always seems to be a discount available, free gift or promotion.
The price for 100ml is £7. Although this may sound alot for only 100ml it lasts so long so I feel it is well worth the money.

        .....What I found.....
The first thing I noticed about this product was how refreshing it feels, can imagine this been perfect in the summer if we ever get some heat! But for the refreshing aspect alone I do not think I would repurchase, the main part for me is the way which it sets make up. I have found that now when I look in the mirror throughout the day my make up is still there, unlike before when it would just disappear.

        ....Overall....
Although £7 for 100ml may sound expensive it is so worth it and I will never be without this face mist now, for anyone who gets frustrated with make up not staying on during the day I recommend this so much

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          Lovely

I first bought the Body Shop Vitamin E Face Mist after I read some reviews on the Body Shop website suggesting it was a good product for setting makeup and keeping it fresh all day. I was going to a summer wedding so I thought a nice cool mist to keep my makeup in perfect condition sounded like the ideal thing.

The face mist comes in a pale pink 100 ml bottle. It states that it is "on call moisture protection for all skin types". It can be used either as a product to set makeup or as a general refreshing spritz. I use it for both of these purposes.

=== Using the mist for setting makeup ===

After applying my makeup, I close my eyes, hold this away from my face, not quite at arm's length, but maybe 12 cm away. I spray 2 or 3 times and leave it to dry on its own. I don't touch or wipe it as that could smudge the makeup and it does dry very quickly anyway. When I used it at the wedding it worked very well. I don't use it every day, but I have found it effective on lots of occasions since then.

As a makeup setting product I do think it has some big advantages over powder. Sometimes powder, especially pressed powder, can look too heavy and too matte, whereas this doesn't mattify the face at all. I have oily skin and I did wonder whether adding liquid instead of powder would be a bad idea and make my face and makeup look shiny, but I haven't experienced that problem at all.

It feels much nicer to use than a powder, as it is light and refreshing.

=== Using the mist as an instant refresher ===

This mist can be sprayed onto the skin as a bit of refreshment and moisture, which I find very pleasant. It's a treat to use in the summer time. There is a gorgeous scent of rosewater which is such a relaxing and soothing fragrance to me. It is just a light hint of the scent while you spray it but it doesn't linger and interfere with your perfume.

As the bottle contains 100 ml, it is within airline liquid allowances so I think it would be really ideal for keeping you hydrated and feeling a bit fresher on long flights. I have never brought it on a flight but when I was flying to America recently I wished I had it in my hand luggage!

The Vitamin E face mist costs £7 for a 100 ml bottle, but you can often get it cheaper when Body Shop has promotions on. Obviously it is not an essential and I could get by without it, but I do really enjoy using it and as it is so good at setting makeup it does have quite a practical use as well as being a nice summer treat to keep you cool and fresh. I would recommend it.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

            amazing. i would recommend

I first heard about vitamin E face mist by one of my friends and i was really intruiged and wanted to learn more about it and to see if it does actually work because my make-up always seems to fade off towards the end of the night and i always wondered if there was anything out there to help keep my make-up on for longer.

i went to the body shop and bagged myself one of these lovely little pink bottle with a spray apllicator which is a 100ml. i couldnt wait to try it out and as it say:
'with panthenol to soften and rosewater to refresh.close your eyes and spray on face. excellent for setting make-up. on-call moisture and vitamin E protection. all skin types'.
hold the bottle 10 cm away from your face. Spray onto the face once or twice and allow to dry

so i brought this spray for 8.99 which i think was quite expensive but if it works then i wouldnt regret spending that much money and plus its from the body shop so it has to be good.

after i put on all my make-up i gave it a whirl. i had to spray it twice on my face for a good coverage which wasnt really a problem. when the spray its your face it is so refreshing and very cooling. it made my skin feel lovely and soft it has a slight rose smell to it.it took a couple of seconds for the mist to dry. it kept my make-up on all night. i was so pleased that it actually worked and from then on i always use it.

you dont just have to use it for setting your make up.you can use it to cool your face down and just make it lovely and soft. it is a quick skin pick me up. you can also keep it in th fridge for extra coolness in the summer.

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

A good product but I am not sure I would buy it again

I got The Body Shop Vitamin E facial mist spray free on a promotion where by if you spent £10.00 on skin care products you would receive the item as a gift. It seemed like a good deal considering I was planning on picking up some Vitamin C eye cream for £9.00 and so I took advantage of the deal.

The spray comes in a pale pink 100ml bottle and it would normally cost £7.00 to buy the product. On the front of the bottle you see the familiar Body shop logo as well as the product name in both English and French. We are told that the face mist provides on call moisture and protection for all skin types.

To use the spray you should remove the clear lid firstly. You should then ensure your eyes are closed and spray the facial mist on to your face. I usually then just pat my skin to ensure that the mist is soaking in and covering the full face. This also helps to dry off your face a little before applying make up.

I usually use this face mist first thing in the mornings before I apply my make up. I find the spray refreshing when it hits my face and it also helps to wake me up a little much like a splash of cold water to the face would do!

The back of the bottle tells me that they product contains panthenol to soften the skin and rosewater to refresh. I do feel that this spray works on both of those counts and it is a really easy way of getting your skin moisturised in a morning! The spray has a sweet and pleasant scent to it and I can only assume this must be the rosewater as it reminds me of when I was a child and I would collect rose petals to make "perfume"! The scent is not overwhelming by any means but it does linger a bit...probably because some crept up your nose when you sprayed!

I find that after using this spray the skin on my face feels pleasantly soft. As I mentioned earlier I use it before I apply my make up and it seems to help my make up glide on quite effortlessly. It does mention on the bottle that it can help set make up but I haven't noticed my make up lasting any longer since using this to be honest.

I have had this bottle for a good few months now and still have around three quarters of a bottle left. I think that shows just how little of the product you do use per application. The shelf life of the product is twelve months and to be honest I will no doubt have a lot left when the twelve months is over so unless I continue to use it after I am advised there will be a lot of waste.

I think that The Body Shops Vitamin E facial mist spray is a decent product which is quite refreshing when used and great for lazy people like me who don't really want to have to bother with all the creams and potions for your face. I am not sure if I would go out and buy it again though simply because of the amount I can imagine being wasted. Despite this I still give the product four stars as I think it is pretty good.

Thank you for reading my review!

I actually came across this amazingly useful face mist in the Body Shop store, where it was offered as a free item if you spent £10 or more! I'd never tried it before but I'm so glad I came across it!

As a part of the Vitamin E Range, this mist has a delicate smell and is very good for dry skin and skin which shows signs of redness. As a keen reviewer for Eczema and sensitive skin sufferers out there I can happily say that this range, the mist included is wonderful and soothing to use, and doesn't sting, burn or cause redness or reaction on my very sensitive skin!

Not only is this mist fantastic for using for extra moisture, or to cool down a flushed face (try keeping it in the fridge for a cold spritz) it is fantastic for applying over make-up instead of loose powder to fix your make-up in place! If like me you occasionally end up with dry skin shownig through your make-up if you have to wear it all day, this mist will hydrate your skin without you having to remove and reapply, or smudge your make-up. Just spray it on top as and when you need it! (Don't forget to close your eyes when you spray!).

Really easy to use and fab for sensitive skin! Of course as with all body shop items, you know that this product was not tested on animals, and is coming from a socially responsible company!

                Advantages

                Disadvantages

Good for keeping in your bag in case you need your face needs a little pick-me-up

I received this product when I spent over £10 in a Body Shop store and have been finding it rather useful in the sticky summer weather that we had for a while.

                WHAT IS IT?
According to the packaging on the bottle, it's designed to deliver "on call moisture and Vitamin E protection" and that's exactly what I've been using it for. I've seen other reviews that suggest it can also be used as a toner but the consistency doesn't really lend itself to that in my opinion so I stick to using it for freshening up purposes. It contains pathenol (for softening) and rosewater (to refresh). It can also be used for setting make-up, according to the packaging.

                USING IT
It's very runny and almost like water in its consistency. This makes it easy to spray but once it's on your face, it has a strong tendency to drip straight off again so I prefer to spray it onto my fingers and then apply it that way as it gives me better control, although the cooling effect isn't as intense if you don't spritz it straight onto your skin.

                RESULTS
It definitely makes my face feel fresher when it's been applied (more so when it's sprayed directly) but this is more apparent in warmer weather and I got good results doing this when we had that warmer spell of weather a few weeks back. My skin is very oily and I don't usually need an intense moisturiser. Sometimes though, I can feel that my skin is in need of a little extra help when I'm out and about and a spray of this is enough to provide just enough extra moisture to last until I'm back home and can apply some proper moisturiser.

                PRICE
£7 for a 100ml bottle. I only need a few sprays at a time and it's not something that I've been using on a daily basis so I doubt that you'd need to replace it all that quickly.

                OVERALL VERDICT
It's more of a quick fix than one that gives lasting results but I've found it great for offering a helping hand with adding moisture to your face when it's feeling a tad dry and you've got no moisturiser to hand and for when you want your skin to be cooled down. For the latter, I've also tried spraying it on my neck and shoulders and it has a cooling effect there too. If used before you apply make-up, I usually find that it's ok to at least put some blusher on after a few minutes but as I don't tend to wear foundation or powder, I can't comment on when it's ok to apply those afterwards. It sinks in quickly though, so I can't see why you wouldn't be fine to put on full base make-up after around five minutes.

                  Advantages

                  Disadvantages

                  A miracle makeup trick!

When my friend started working for the Body Shop doing parties at home, I felt obliged to buy something for her - so, having no makeup or body stuff to buy my only option left was to by The Body Shop Vitamin E Face Mist... and I really have not been let down!

Although some people may call it a toner, I was sold it as just a refreshing face spritzer - a quick splash to refresh and rehydrate the skin. The bottle itself calls it an 'On-call moisture and Vitamin E protection'. And this is exactly what it does, which, although it doesn't sound a lot, has revolutionised my makeup for good!

Not only is the quick spray refreshing, it is also excellent at setting makeup - I simply apply concealer, foundation and blusher and spritz - it stays in place and just as vibrant all day long! Its probably best not to use it over Mascara however because, unless its a good quality waterproof mascara, if you over spray it can smudge a little. I'd also say don't spritz too much, if your skin feels wet you've gone too far and it doesn't have the desired effect - but if you just feel refreshed... perfect, thats exactly whats it meant for! Its even handy to wet your brushes to ease application of eyeshadow - so that that too can stay on all day long.

As for refreshing - its tempting to take this baby everywhere to spruce up at the spritz of a pump - but I would definitely recommend it for holidays and travel, a quick spray and you arrive feeling hydrated and fixed - its also wonderfully refreshing when wandering round a confusing and hot new country! Although I must admit I do wish they did a smaller bottle to make new found ease of travelling!

Its also very good at softening to skin and contains rosewater - I didn't realise how well it worked until someone commented how smooth my complexion was, and, on testing, a spray in the morning had made my fingers glide across my face even more, giving my moisturiser less of a challenge!

The Vitamin E was something I did not buy this product for - but looking back I have no idea how I stumbled across such a necessary thing without realising I should. Vitamin E contains anti-oxidant properties, and protects skin from UV rays, pollution and a number of other elements that can cause damage to the skin. Making it protective and an added layer over suncream. Vitamin E is also connected with anti-ageing, and most anti-ageing products boast about using it - reducing all the telltale signs of ageing. Not only this, but it reduces appearance of scars and stretchmarks and any other pigmentation in the skin. It even helps prevent cancer - all that from one little spray bottle, amazing.

The bottle is a nice pinky colour as is all the Body Shops Vitamin E selection, and is a 100ml spray bottle. It costs about £7, but will last months, and is fantastic value for the effects. The spray is best used holding it 10cm away from the face and close your eyes ( if you forget too it certainly makes you jump) - the first few times I did it the shock of the cooling made me flinch, but it really is quite pleasant to do.

But of course, you can't mention a Body Shop product with mentionning the ethical standards of the company - which for me makes using a product like this all the more enjoyable, knowing that all ingredients and manufacturing is done in an ethical way makes supporting this company all the more satisfying.

Basically, this product is, for me, a make-up must! I have tried similar sprays since, and none give the same fixing results or the same Vitamin E benefits - I would definitely say, give it a try!

                  Advantages

                  Disadvantages

A fab little multi purpose mist.

I was a bit apprehensive about using the Body Shop's Vitamin E Face Mist after my poor experience with the Vitamin E facial cleansing wipes. I bought the mist at the same time as the wipes as it was also on special offer but because I was disappointed with the wipes the mist has sat at the back of my cupboard for a while. It was only when I spotted it whilst looking for something else I decided to get it out and give it a try. Funny, as I've now become a bit addicted to spraying myself with the mist.

Aside from the disastrous facial wipes I do like products with vitamin E as I find it suits my skin well and seems to make a visible improvement to its condition. Vitamin E does have quite a few things going for it. It acts as a powerful antioxidant which can help protect the skin against damage from the environment such as sunlight, pollution and smoke. As well as being an antioxidant it is also an effective moisturiser so it can help keep the skin hydrated. The face mist also contains liposomes and lecithin, which apparently help the skin absorb the vitamin E in order to achieve maximum moisture balance. It's not got a huge list of ingredients in it and it states on the front of the bottle that is suitable for all skin types, though as it does contain alcohol and paraben preservatives this might not be the case, especially for sensitive skin.

As with all of the Body Shop vitamin E range the face mist comes in a minimalistic style pale pink container. The face mist is clear and has a lovely rosewater fragrance, it is very delicate and discreet though so it doesn't over power at all. It just smells nicely refreshing. Once the mist has dried the fragrance completely disappears. I would prefer it if it lingered a bit more. To use the mist you simply hold the bottle 10cm away from the face, close your eyes and push down the pump action spray to release the mist, one or two pumps are sufficient to give the skin a good coating of the mist. The mist is really fine so there is no problem with it making the face too wet, it only gives a very light covering which absorbs into the skin and dries within a matter of seconds. There is also no need to rub it in as it is evenly distributed by the spray. I thought it might make my skin greasy but it doesn't, well that is as long as I don't go spritz crazy.

The face mist seems to be one of those products that hasn't been designed for one specific purpose, instead it can be used for a few different things. It can be used to set make up in place, I was a bit apprehensive about this to start because the idea of spraying liquid onto my newly applied make up seems to me like a bit of an odd idea. I thought my make up would just run everywhere. I was wrong to think this though as this is not the case. You apply make up as usual and then give a couple of spritzes to the face, it stops foundation and powder from looking dry or caked on which is good as it gives make up a dewy fresh look but without any greasiness. It also seems to help keep make up in place for longer, though I wouldn't say it is as effective as a good primer but it does a good enough job for me. I will say to make sure you avoid the eye area as the mist does make eye make up run and the first time I used it I just sprayed it all over my face and I was left with the panda effect around my eyes. Luckily, it doesn't seem to sting though if it does accidently go onto the eye area.

It can also be used to give the face a quick boost of moisture during the day if skin feels tired, dry or tight due to things like air conditioning. It's great as you can see and feel the effect of the mist instantly there is no long wait for it to work. Skin looks fresher, less tired and feels lovely and soft. If I am really pushed for time then I will sometimes give my face a quick spritz of the mist instead of applying my usual moisturiser. It isn't really a replacement for conventional moisturiser, as for most people it probably wouldn't be moisturising enough but it is fine for times when it is not convenient to apply a cream moisturiser. The bottle is not too heavy so its good for taking out and about as the lid clasps shut well, so it doesn't come of in my bag, nor does the spray dribble. If you place the face mist in the fridge it cools it down and when you spray it onto the face it feels really refreshing, so it would be great for taking on holiday to freshen up. I actually like spraying it on my neck as well to freshen up in the middle of the day.

I paid £3.50 for the face mist but it usually sells for £7.00 for a 100ml bottle. Although I am enjoying using it I do think the full price is on the high side for me so I will probably only buy it again if I can get it when it is on offer. It is available to buy in store and online at www.thebodyshop.co.uk. It is long lasting though as only one or two spritzes at a time is needed so one bottle could last a good few months, even with daily use. You may well be thinking wouldn't a water spritz, which would be a much cheaper option be just as good. I always give my face a good splash of cold water in the morning to wake me up and during the summer months I often use a water spritzer. This is all well and good for freshening up but it doesn't feeling moisturising or softening at all. I can tell and feel the difference on my skin from spraying this face mist as opposed to just water. Although I enjoy using it and feel the benefit I do think it is one of those products that could divide people.

                  Thanks for reading.

                    Advantages

                    Disadvantages

                    Works for me

This is a review of the Body Shop's Vitamin E face mist.

                    **What does it do?**
Although it's classed as a toner, I don't think it works like one, I find toners to be quite drying and tight on my skin. I use it as a quick fix moisturiser, a wake me up and make up base.

                    ***Quick to use**
Two squirts and you're done. I let it naturally dry and the magic ingredient -vitamin E makes my skin feel so soft.

                    **Size and price***
This product comes in a 100ml bottle with a nozzle pump style spray and lasts months and months, even when used daily. I paid around the £6 mark for my last bottle.

                    **moisturising the speedy way***
I also use the day moisturiser in this range but don't tend to use both of these products at once, it's an either /or for me as I don't like to overload my skin. If I have time for it to sink in, I use the moisturiser but if not, the drying time on the face mist is a lot quicker.

                    **What is it similar to?***
Lightly fragranced, I think this product smells a little like baby lotion (but it's not over powering). I originally found this product after using a similar (but more expensive) product from the Liz Earle skincare collection, and Clinique also do something a bit like this but again it costs a lot more and comes in a much smaller bottle.

                    **Verdict***
At £6 ish it seems a bit dear but a bottle lasts so long and it's so refreshing I think it's worth it. Would I buy again? Well I'm currently on y second bottle so I guess I will when this one runs out!

It's not an intensive moisturiser so if you have dry skin I don't think this would work for you but if you just want a light spray, it is perfect.
