The Product

The product I am reviewing is the Vitamin E Face Mist from The Body Shop. This product is part of the Vitamin range and claims to instantly refresh your skin and give it a moisture boost. The product is suitable for all skin types. The product has a delicate rosewater scent. I purchased this product after reading good reviews about it on The Body Shop website and on dooyoo & ciao. I am a fan of the Vitamin E range and have many products in this range which is also what prompted me to purchase this. Due to the small portable heater I have in my office at work, my skin can sometimes feel a little dry during the day. This sounded like a fantastic product to help give my skin a moisture boost and to refresh my skin during the day. You can also use this over make up as well which can help to set it. The Facial Mist comes in a pale pink bottle which is the colour of the products in the Vitamin E range. The bottle has a smooth finish to it and it clearly states what the product is. On the back of the bottle is a list of ingredients and instructions on how to use the face mist. The bottle has a spray top which is clear in colour and is protected by a clear plastic cap.

This is available to purchase in store or from The Body Shop website. The full price of this is £8.00; how-ever I purchased it when it was on offer on the website. This product currently has 30% off on the website bringing the price down to £5.60. The bottle comes in one size which is 100ml.

Close eyes & mouth and holding the bottle about 15cm away spray onto face. I removed the cap and brushed the hair out of my face. I didn't have any make up on this day so would be spraying it onto my bare face. I held the spray bottle at least 15cm (6 inches) away from my face and closed my eyes and mouth. I then pressed down on the pump to release the fine mist. I actually sprayed this twice. As the mist landed on my face it felt really cool and very refreshing. I can imagine this would feel even nicer during the summer when it gets hot. The smell of roses was very obvious and I wasn't too sure I actually liked this smell. For me, this scent was a bit too florally for my liking; how-ever the smell didn't really last long and disappeared shortly after spraying the mist so it didn't really bother me. As the mist is very fine it doesn't take long to sink into the skin. My skin definitely felt very refreshed and much cooler than it had done before. The mist definitely gave my skin a moisture boost as my skin felt extremely smooth and soft. The skin on my face is reasonable soft anyway, how-ever this give it a bit of an extra moisture boost. I work approximately 7 hours a day and I spray this twice during the day onto my face and I feel that's enough to keep my skin hydrated. I have also used the mist over make up as suggested. As long as you spray the mist from the suggested 15cm distance then this won't ruin your make up. Shortly after applying my make-up I spray this over the top to help set the make-up and to also help make my skin feel refreshed. Although I have make up on the mist still cools down my face and it feels refreshes and because of this feeling it also feels as though it gives my skin a moisture boost as well. I find that my make-up stays looking good all day and my skin also stays feeling moisturised and fresh.
Overall Opinion

After reading so many good reviews about this product I had very high hopes of it. At full price I think this product is rather pricey and I'm not sure I would actually pay full price for the product. Although I'm not too keen on the rose scent this doesn't put me off the product as the scent doesn't last very long anyway. This product definitely lives up to its claims of refreshing your skin and giving it a moisture boost. I always carry this in my bag so I can refresh and give my skin a moisture boost whenever I need to. As I only use the product once or twice a day the bottle should last a good few months before it needs replacing. I would recommend this product to others, but would suggest purchasing it from The Body Shop website and looking out for any offers that they may have on this product. If you work in an air conditioned office this product is particularly good to keep skin feeling moisturised and hydrated. Due to the high price I can't give this product the full 5 stars.
