I was talking to a man in Holland & Barrett the other week about oils that are good for your skin, and that give your skin a healthy glow. I described to him what my skin type is like; that would be quite dry, combination skin that is recovering from acne, and I still had a few small acne scars on my face that I wanted to get rid of.
He told me my safest bet would be Rosehip oil. He descrived it to me and told me about what it does and that it is really good. I was almost convinced by his selling techniques and I very nearly bought some, until he told me that a small 20ml bottle would cost me £16.30something and I told him he could get lost.
A few days later though, I was in Boots, asking the same questions about how to give my skin a healthy glow, make it nice and smooth, and get rid of my acne scars etc. The sales assistant recommended this to me again. She told me Danni Minogue uses it. It was £16 in Boots so I was saving myself the 30something pence, and I was getting some points for it, so this time I decided to treat myself.
If it is good enough for Danni Minogue then it is definitely good enough for me!
The bottle this comes in is very small and only contains 20ml. Check how much your foundation bottle contains if you want to know how little 20ml is. Most foundations have about 30ml in them.
On the underside of the lid there is a really handy dropper to squeeze the oil out with. I think you call it a poppette but I'm not too sure. This is extremely useful as it allows you to take small amounts of the oil and not too much, as you only need a small amount and as it is so expensive I don't want to waste any.
The oil itself is organic so made from natural ingredients that really treat well and look after the skin. I mainly use this on my face but it can be used in other places as well - where you have scars, or particularly dry skin for example on the hands.
Since I started using this I have a much healthier glow on my face and people have even said to me that I look much more lit up, healthier and happier. I am so glad I decided to buy this!
Overall I think the only thing that lets this down is the price. I use this as a moisturiser and I think that £16 for 20ml is a little expensive for a moisturiser. I have compared some prices below for you if you do decide to buy this (they are all for a 20ml bottle - you can also buy this in a 45ml bottle) :
Holland & Barrett - £16.38
Boots - £16
Amazon - £16
Look Fantastic - £16
Auravita.com - £14.72
I really would recommend this, it has made a very definite improvement on my skin. I am saving up to buy it again!
Summary: Good enough for Danni Minogue . . .
