I am a fan of face mists especially to set my makeup or hydrate my skin whenever my skin is dry. I usually purchase Avene, but decided to skip it to buy the cheaper Vichy, which I think is supposed to be better, as it has minerals, helps to decongest and also suitable for sensitive skin like mine. Vichy has 17 minerals and 13 trace elements, and claims to suitable for all skin types. It also claims to help sooth sensitive skin, strengthens skin immunity and refreshes the skin and is presevative and fragrance free.
The bottle comes in a "hairspray like" container, and the cap opens up easily. The spray comes out evenly, but has a slightly saltish smell and taste to it. Possibly because of the thermal spa water. It does not absorb that quickly, even on my somewhat dry part of the skin (my skin is combination). I think it takes more than 20 seconds before your skin feels fully hydrated.
Throughout the day, you will have to re-spray, depending on your skin condition. However, I felt that too much spraying may also lead to breakouts, possibly due to the minerals.
One thing it does do well is that it soothes the skin. But I feel most of the face mist does. So it is not really that special.
However, as to setting my makeup, this product is a NO. It actually melts the makeup instead. I did not realise this until checking on it online, that this product can be used as a makeup remover! So stick with Avene or Evian if you want a perfect looking makeup.
I think this product is a half-half. I would stick to Avene.
