It has been a little while since I last used a bottle of Witch Foaming Facial Wash and in fact it was my hubby who introduced me to this product a few years back. It is still for sale now and costs just under £3 for a 150ml sized pump dispenser plastic bottle. It might not seem like a very large sized bottle but in actual fact this lasts for ages as you only need to use a maximum of two pumps from the dispenser and it really does foam very well over the face and neck. It is important to get your face really wet (not just damp) before massaging this in. What I like to do is get my hands good and wet and then foam it up in my hands and then apply to my face.
It smells so wonderfully fresh and clean and as it has extract of witch hazel, it does give me personally a very mild (not stinging) tingling effect. This lasts for a little while after I have rinsed and patted my face dry.
I do not find this product to be at all drying. In actual fact, it seems to make my skin look and feel better moisturised and plumper and it certainly eradicates my oily T zone, which is the bane of my life, as this is where I am more prone to breakouts and spots.
It is suitable for all skin types and I am also happy to report that it has not been tested in animals. I do feel it is a product which is suitable for either men or women, because as I say, it was my hubby who was using this before I was.
Great price for a great product and I highly recommend it.
Witch Foaming Face Wash - I used to buy it regularly but my local supermarket stopped stocking it and so I've had a break. I recently noticed it back on the shelves and immediately bought some - and I have to say, I'd forgotten how good it is, which prompted me to write this!
Confession time - I'm a lazy so-and-so when it comes to skin care, and with a life where I'm juggling so much that spare time is at a premium it's one of those things that gets pushed to the bottom of the pile. Fortunately I am blessed with relatively youthful-looking skin (well, everyone thinks I'm younger than I am) so I generally get away with it, but said skin is fairly sensitive and can be prone to the 'middle-aged teenager' type outbreaks, so I do occasionally need to take a wee bit more care, which is where a product like this comes in. I also have a genuinely teenaged daughter, so one more reason to be buying this.
So, why is it so good?
Well, it's gentle (no complaints from sensitive skin), non-drying (soft skin after use), effective (face gets clean, spots etc seem to be fewer than when we don't use it), and smells really nice (fresh and natural, not at all overpowering). The 'witch' name is because it uses witch hazel which is often used for acne and other skin problems.
But to be honest, the thing I really like is the 'foaming' bit. One pump gives you a decent blob of foam sufficient for a good wash. Because it's foam it lasts for absolutely ages. It's also great for youngsters who are always in such a hurry they can't be bothered to use soap properly to get a good lather - or is that just my son?
It's also pretty reasonably priced considering how long it lasts - certainly puts it into the realm of 'family use' rather than needing to be one more bottle of stuff for special use only.
In summary, I'd highly recommend it - give it a go!
Witch foaming face wash comes in a 150ml bottle, but whats cool about this bottle is that it makes the liquid product turn into foam when you pump it,which Makes the product last for ages.
my husband sent me a bottle when i was in canada, and i really loved the smell, and the fact that you only needed only one pump or even half of one just to wash your hole face was a bonus...
The problem i was having with this at the time was that my face was getting really dry after use, even after i put moisturizer on (maybe it was bad moisturizer?).
I still like this product even though it made my face a bit too dry...it does seem to work but it does nothing for black heads.
so i switched to Witch Exfoliating Face Wash, and i could really see more of a difference using the exfoliant rather then the foam.
I still use the Foam because i like the feel of it on my face and then washing it off seems more refreshing then the exfoliant...so i kind of mix it up (use one one day then the other another day )
but if you have acne and a good moisturizer and not so many black heads, go with the foam it really wakes you up in morning, gives a nice glow.
There both pretty equal to me but if you got black heads i suggest you go for the exfoliant one. i believe i made a review about that one as well,so just check my review list if you want to know more about it.
Witch products usually only have about 10% witch-hazel in there products ( i don't know why they don't have more, i find this kind of a shame..)

price 3.99pounds (but that might vary depending on where)
NO ingredients or face wash were tested on animals.
Although I always have a regular skin care routine - cleanse, tone & moisturise morning & night - my face never looks fantastic & I put this down to about a dozen wretched blackheads which I've been unable to shift.
I've tried loads of products which claim to cleanse deep-down or 'eliminate & remove blackheads' but apart from wasting my money I haven't lost these little blighters yet!
I've been trying out my daughter's Witch Foaming Face Wash for the past 10 days & I have to say that this product, although only £2.49, works just as well as similar ones I've tried costing 2 or 3 times the price.
The bottle caught my eye as it's a lovely sky blue & it states clearly on the plastic packaging that it's a 'gentle cleanser for deep-down freshness with extract of witch hazel.
Because of the witch hazel I expected the contents to smell strongly of this but in fact it smells like an expensive & very fresh expensive toner/ cleanser.
When you pull the plastic top off there's an easy-to-use pump dispenser which doesn't clog because the foam is very light in texture & thickness. I'd expected something more like a shaving foam but this is similar to a light bubble bath.
It's so straightforward to use - just splash the face with water, pump a little on to fingers & massage into the face in circular movements, then rinse & pat dry.
I noticed a difference to my face within 3 days after using it both morning & night. My face looks cleaner & fresher & (fingers crossed) the blackheads seem to on the move. I'm intending to buy some pore strips on Monday which which hopefully force the b******s out once & for all?!
On the reverse of the bottle the information provided includes the following -
- not tested on animals
- full ingredients (nonsensical to me but at least I didn't find alcohol listed)
- directions for use
- fine for all skin types (but use with caution if you have sensitive skin)
- the size - 150ml
- website address - www.witchskincare.com.
I didn't find the foam drying on my face but then I usually put moisturiser on after using cleansing & toning.
I'd say this could be used by many ages (I'm 56 & my daughter is 18) & I'm sure men would find it good because, although effective,it doesn't smell perfumed.
- a good price for what you get.
- left my skin (normal/combination) looking refreshed & clean & seemingly attacking my stubborn deeply embedded blackheads.
- goes a long way.
- easy & pleasant to use.
- nice fresh-smelling deep cleanser.
This is brilliant for sensitive skin. I used this product years ago and treid it again recently and forgot how good it was. It costs me around £3.99 which I thoughtwas brilliant value for money because it lasts you a long time and you only need a small amount. What I like about it is its a foaming wash and so is extremely gentle and refreshing. I use it morning and night and lather it in my palms then massgae into skin, splash face with hot water then cold to close pores and my skin is so much clearer than it was. This is like the cheapest product I have tried yet the best one compared to dermalogica, clinique and liz earle. Its really soothing on the skin and my skin feels so so fresh and clean when I have used it. I still get spots dont egt me wrong but they are so much more better since using this product, I have even got my boyfriend using it!!
I have always had problems finding the right cleanser to suit my skin type. I have combination skin to the point of sheer annoyance. Very oily T-Zone, but dry cheeks and forehead.
So one day when I was shopping I decided to buy Witch Foaming Face Wash. I'm not sure what attracted me to buy it, I think it was the fact I was looking for a fuss-free, gentle wash for my face.
When buying it, I was a little taken aback by the price. I paid £3.99. However this does last a long LONG time! I am near the end of using my first bottle and I bought it back in January this year and use it 2 times a day.
General directions for use are to take off the lid, press the pump into your other hand and a blob of foam will be produced from the main bottle of liquid. Usually one pump is enough to use.
Apply to wet face using hands. I found this also lathers up well if you add more water and rub it with your hands while applying to your face.
Afterwards rinse off and pat face dry with a towel.
One thing I noticed, is that this face wash can be quite drying on skin, so it may be an idea to use a moisturiser afterwards.
After six months of using this product, my skin is clear and kept under control. I do get the odd blemish now and then, but I will be sticking with this product as it works so well.
Ideal for very sensitive skin, and the foamy-ness makes it very soothing and refreshing for your skin.
As Ive got older, Ive noticed that my skin tends to be a little on the sensitive side, although I tend to get the occasional spot. (Normally I have combination skin.) This causes a problem, since products to use for the spots are too harsh for my skin. Ordinary soap can leave my skin really dry, almost to the point of itchy; so I can only use PH neutral soap. Unfortunately I find that these soaps dont clean my skin as much as I would like them to. So a year ago I decided to try Witch Foaming Face Wash.
The product is a liquid soap which comes in a blue/green pump-action bottle which contains 150ml. The face wash contains Witch Hazel which is natural ingredient well known for its effective astringent properties.
How To Use
*First of all wet your face. This preps the skin for the face wash
*Next, pump some face wash onto your fingertips. It comes out as foam, so it is gentle on the skin. One to two pumps is sufficient.
*Gently massage into the face avoiding the eye areas.
I find that in these colder months the face wash can slightly dry my skin, although in the warmer months it is very effective against grease. It does make my skin feel clean. As it does dry my skin a little, while my skin is still damp I put on moisturiser. Overall this is the best product Ive found yet.
Tesco sell this at £3.78, although I sure that Superdrug sell it cheaper. If you use it twice a day, it should last about a month. Witch also do other products like face wipes, pore gel and Witch Stick. To view all their products go to their website at: www.witchskincare.com.
