Hemp seed oil, it seems, is underrated. I personally don't like the smell of hemp so I would not normally have considered buying a product that contains it, but since this product smells lovely, I was happy to try it. Although the smell is appealing, it's not overwhelming or sickly, unlike some similar products.
Having had seriously dry skin on my hands, I wanted a moisturiser that was intense and quite rich. This product meets my requirements perfectly. It is very effective on dry, cracked skin, but without leaving that heavy residue that many paraffin-based creams do. Some of the moisturisers that feel the nicest when you apply them, seem to act more like barrier creams, thus ultimately repelling moisture, not hydrating the skin. This one, on the other hand, feels really creamy, but it doesn't just sit on top of the skin or disappear after twenty minutes, only to be found all over your computer keyboard, mouse, phone, the fridge...
Made with largely very natural ingredients, and suitable for vegans, this organic moisturiser feels quite luxurious. Unfortunately, this is reflected slightly in the price as as 56gm pot costs just under £6. However, I use this product several times a day and a pot probably lasts around two months.
Ingredients such as coconut oil, olive oil, cocoa butter and hemp oil all help to make this cream deeply nourishing to the skin. As with many natural products, the manufacturer doesn't seem to specify where on the body to use this product and I imagine it would be effective as a facial moisturiser as well as on the hands and body, although it may be a bit on the rich side for oily skin, and possibly a little heavy for daytime use.
