“ Brand: Yves Rocher / Texture: Cream / Type: Moisture Cream / Subcategory: Moisturiser / What it does: Smoothes, Nourishes, Purifies, „
I've been a fan of Yves Rocher for many years as you may know if you have read any of my previous reviews.
Although I don't order every month when I am sent an up to date mailing leaflet (they don't do brochures like Avon - just several leaflets), I do buy from them several times a year and one of my firm favourites that I always like to use is this foot cream - Lavande Essentielle.
I'm not a huge lover of lavender based products as though I know they can be beneficial I find the scent can be overwhelming at times.
This is where this foot cream is different, which brings me nicely onto the review itself..
The cream comes in a quite small looking tube which despite it's appearance is actually a reasonable sized 50ml.
The tube is upright standing, if you so wish to store it that way, and is made out of a soft but sturdy plastic with a flip lid for access.
The colour of the tube is unimaginatively a pale lavender and is similar to the one in the dooyoo picture but as this item was added to the database about 3 years ago (according to another review) the appearance is slightly different but not much.
Ah now this is the thing with Yves Rocher; it can be expensive to purchase from them; especially if you mail order and you don't spend enough to qualify for free postage and packaging (which changes but is normally over £20 it's free).
The current price is £6 per tube but is commonly on offer of half price or some other money saving reduction.
As mentioned I buy online or mail order and to check out this and other items log onto:
0870 049 2222
Or check out one of their shops that are scattered about in various destinations (I've only been in the one in York but there are several)
Also there is always a vast array of Yves Rocher items for sale on Ebay..
The appearance of the foot cream~
Once you have flipped open the lid - which is very easy to open and close - a gentle squeeze of the tube will produce an adequate amount as it has a tendency to be quite slippery. The cream is a very bright white, which was surprising the first time I bought it as for some reason I expected it to be lavender coloured.
The consistency is thick and the texture has a slight greasiness to it but don't let that put you off as it doesn't feel greasy once applied.
As mentioned this isn't a strong lavender scented product at all. Once opened there is obviously a slight hint but its not overpowering, more subtle and soothing.
My experience of using this~
I like to use this every evening before bed as it has all night to soak into my skin and works it magic.
I don't drive and do a heck of a lot of walking on the school run/shopping/errands etc every day, so by the evening time my feet need some serious TLC and this certainly delivers.
I found a small amount - a blob around the size of a 5p coin - was enough for one foot. The cream feels cold on application and instantly revives my weary tootsies making them feel refreshed and soothed.
Though the cream does feel slightly greasy at first, once it's applied to the feet and rubbed in it goes almost dry and leaves more of a light talcum powder feeling to them, which feels odd at first but quite pleasant.
The foot cream effortlessly rubs into the skin and absorbs almost instantaneous so there's no waiting for the cream to disperse like some other brands I've tried in the past.
If you have not tried this - or any Yves Rocher product - before I would highly recommend you give this a try if you get the opportunity to as it's a fantastic foot cream.
Because the compact packaging it makes a perfect sized item to slip in your holiday bag as well.
Highly recommended as you can tell!
Product: Lavande Foot Nutrition Cream
Producer: Yves Rocher
Price: Full price £5.80 - but Yves Rocher usually has some offer giving you a product at half price or 2-for-1.
The thick, creamy texture of this foot cream is what has got me hooked. The cream sinks into your skin fast and has a lovelly lavender scent. You only need a small amount, as it spreads well. Your feet feel instantly revived, and I also notice a longe-running effect of softer feet.
I usually use the cream on just some small areas of my feet - places where the skin is extra dry or where my dancing has made the skin go hard. The thought of smothering the whole foot in cream makes me shudder, but this goes for any cream. I prefer to use just a small amount on just the right places.
The lavender scent is very nice, even if you like me don't usually go for strongly scented products. It is quite a discreet scent, pure lavender without any "extra effects" and it leaves your feet feeling and smelling fresh.
The screw cap of the tube is a small special feature worth mentioning. It makes sure no air gets into the tube, which is probably why it keeps so well, and doesn't go off. The pricing is very reasonable, and the effect just as good as other, more expensive brands.
The only negative thing I can think of is the fact you have to buy it from Yves Rocher it self (internet, mail order, shops) as no other shops stock their products. But as you constantly get great offers on their products this is quite a nice problem to deal with!
