A lovely hydrating creme for the face that leaves the skin feeling silky and smooth

Hydra Feel Comfort Hydrating Water Crème is a special facial cream that has been created by YSL. It is described as being a rich cream that replenishes the skins hydration and that will provide comfort to the face. It has been specifically designed for those with normal to dry skin.

It claims to maintain moisture levels for up to 24 hours and to leave your skin looking refreshed, replenished and healthy. It apparently contains a 'baby soft' complex which promises to transform your skin into having the smooth, softness of a new born baby. Big claims...

How do you use the product?
The product is to be used in place of your normal moisturiser. It should be applied to skin that has been cleansed and dried, and it is to be massaged into the face and neck. The cream can be applied morning and night. You need to avoid the eye area when applying the crème.

      Packaging and Price
I have a little mini sample that was a freebie in a kit that I received because I had spent over a certain amount while shopping at the YSL counter. My little tube contains 15ml of the crème and it is contained within a white tube with a white screw top lid.

The full size product contains 50ml of the crème and comes in a lovely little white and blue pot. This is certainly not a cheap skin crème and it will cost you around £40 in order to buy it.

The product is available from large department stores which have a YSL counter and also from many online websites. The price does vary greatly so it's a good idea to shop around.

      My thoughts
The cream is a pure white colour that is no different to the average moisturiser. I was expecting the product to be clear because it is called a water crème but it is in fact completely opaque. The crème smells incredibly fresh and clean, and it has an ever so faint floral smell. I really like it and it's very refreshing when you apply it first thing in the morning.

The texture of the product is the most unusual thing about this product. It is unbelievably silky and it's almost like a serum consistency but it's thicker and extremely luxurious. A small amount of product is needed to achieve the desired results because a little certainly goes a long way. It is very quickly absorbed into the skin with minimal effort.

From the very first use, it makes a massive different to the texture of your skin. It makes my skin smoother, silkier and softer than any other product that I've ever used. It definitely is 100% baby soft. The only problem is that it almost feels as if it has coated your skin with softness rather than making your skin soft if that makes sense because the sensation goes when the product is washed off. While the product is on, the hydrated feeling remains and it certainly banishes any dryness.

It adds a definite sheen to the skin which does make your skin a little shiny, but it's not in your face. If you have oily skin like mine then it is a shine that isn't very welcome on skin that is also shiny enough. As far as I'm aware there isn't a version of this available for oily skin but if there was, I'd snap it up in a second.

It hasn't caused any spots of my skin which is blemish prone and it hasn't caused any irritations or itchiness on my sensitive skin. My make up goes on nicely over the top and it acts as a lovely primer, making my foundation last the whole day.

All in all, this product makes my skin silkier and softer than anything else I've ever tried, and I've tried a lot! It hydrates the skin and keeps dry skin away all day. I'm not sure whether this is a great product for oily skin but then it doesn't claim to be. It certainly lives up to all of its promises and despite being pricey, you can tell it's a very high quality product. It's one to put on your Christmas list!!
