Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat
Advantages: Lasts a long time! Only need to use a little bit! Instant lift and radiance! Disguise dark circles!
I wouldn't usually have bought make up this expensive but thanks to my credit card many years ago (before I lost it lol) and I treated myself to this lil number. Despite really not having the money to splash out on this kind of item now, I do save up over the course of the year and actually treat myself to it because it's that good. I buy it in Boots and it costs about £25 for the pen which is about 2.5ml. I have had my Touch Eclait for a year now which is fantastic. I tend to use it at least 5 days out of 7 (forget sometimes or rushing around) and because you only need a tinsy winsy little bit, it's surprising how far it goes. I'm still not nearing the end of mine so probably have a few months left in it yet.
**The ONLY product to disguise my Dark circles**
It's the ONLY product to help disguise my dark under eye circles that are also puffy (thanks mum! It's a gene thing!) I have tried all sorts of beauty products over the years (sick of people saying I look tired all the time) even on the days that I'm really NOT tired. I'm forever saying, ' Nooo, not tired, just have really bad eye bags and dark circles under my eyes'... lol' . I've tried lots of different concealers for this problem as well but due to the eye area being really delicate, half the time I end up with even puffier eyes thanks to some kind of weirdo reaction.
**Stylish and Glam**
This slim metallic gold pen not only looks stylish and glam, it looks very expensive! The applicator pen comes with supplied in it's own little box. I don't tend to keep it in the box though for long as can't be bothered faffing around with getting it out. I like to be able to reach into my handbag and just pull out the pen. It's hard wearing so doesn't get damaged in any way so the box isn't needed really. It's just nice to purchase it in, especially if you're giving it away as a present to somebody.
At the top of the pen you have the pull on and off top that clicks into place and hidden away underneath this is the applicator brush which is soft bristles but tightly fitted together. At the bottom of the gold pen is a black button which has to be clicked several times on first opening to allow the concealer liquid to spill out onto the brush. Once you have done this initial clicking, on subsequent use, you only have to click it once, maybe twice, depending on how much you want to apply.
**So what can I use this concealer for?**
Well predominantly its claim is to' banish shadows by adding light to give an instant lift to the under eye area'. As mentioned, it's what I particularly use it for and if applied lightly and left to dry a bit before PATTING in with your finger tip gently, it really does have GREAT effects. I don't get anywhere near half the comments about ' looking tired' when I've got this concealer on!
Touche can also help create fuller looking lips, brighter eyes and better complexion. Personally I don't use it for spots or blemishes really as I feel the consistency is a bit too light and I prefer my Rimmel stick, however, it does do a good job. I just prefer my harder lipstick style concealer stick for those kind of little blips. I would definitely agree that outlining your lips is great though. It definitely emphases the shape of your lips and makes them look a bit plumper once you've blended it in. I would also say that touché also comes in useful for little pinky red areas that you may have around your nostrils. It works for me anyway!
Touche is really great for making you look more alive on a morning where perhaps you haven't had the best of nights sleep. Instantly you feel brighter when applying this along with the rest of your make up.
Another great feature is that the brush does not stiffen up, even when concealer is left on it after applications. Like mentioned, i've had mine a year so far and the applicator brush is still smooth and soft.
Touche comes in 3 different shades, No1 No2 and No3. I have bought over the years, No1 and No2. 1 is for pale skin, like mine, and no 2 still works well for me if i've used tan wipes or have a natural bit of tan. No 3 is for darker skin. I can't comment on that really as haven't tried it nor know anyone that has. It's definitely too dark for me though.
Overall - For Instant radiance and lift and to give you that ' I'm awake' feeling on a morning, there's nothing better than Touch Eclait!
Summary: A make up item thats expensive, but definately worth saving for and treating yourself once a year!
