I've had a Morphy Richards 'Fastbake' bread maker for about a year or so now and have had nothing but compliments on my wonderful bread making 'skills'! This bread maker will produces 1 pound, 1.5 pound and 2 pound loaves and you can now get packets of bread mix from supermarkets making it incredibly easy to rustle up a nice fresh loaf of bread - all you do is empty the packet into the machine along with the specified amount of warm water and away you go! Most manufacturer descriptions of breadmakers seem to begin with, or to at least include, the same rather uninventive refrain… Namely, they invoke the 'aroma of freshly baked bread in the morning', perhaps, or the 'warm and inviting scent wafting throughout the house, as you bake your own bread'.
