      love it

I was in the supermarket looking at the cereal. I fancied trying something new. I've always liked the 'look' of Granola and so decided to try this 'Country Crisp Strawberries' cereal which is made by Jordans.

This cereal consists of wholegrain oats with small pieces of dried strawberries (when you add milk to the cereal they come alive and seem like fresh strawberries). There's also chopped hazelnuts in the cereal.

I love this cereal! It's so tasty; each bite is as good as the previous and last. I love the crunchiness (it's a good crunchy-ness, and not the kind that hurts your teeth which is good). The cereal is full flavoured. I find it to be incredibly more-ish and sometimes I have to add a bit more to my bowl! The strawberries give a nice sweet and fruity taste. The strawberries taste lovely combined with the oats. It is such a lovely cereal.

The cereal has a lovely crunchy texture. Although (as with most cereals, but I found with this one especially so) make sure that you eat it as soon as you pour the milk otherwise after a couple of minutes it will get very, very soggy which isn't very nice.

When I eat cereal, most of the time I tend to have it with milk, although on some occasions I do like to have it with natural yogurt. In my opinion the cereal is more of a 'milk' cereal than a 'yogurt' cereal, as I found that it can be very dry with yogurt - still nice, but just a little bit too dry for my liking.

I would describe the cereal as being very luxurious. It is of very high quality and not like cheap cereals at all. Even the box looks good quality and expensive (as is made from a thick cardboard and is smooth). I am also really impressed with the box as it is bursting with information about helping the countryside, how the British countryside is in trouble etc. I have never seeen so much useful and informative information on a cereal box before and so it is a great read for when you are eating breakfast.

On the box, there is a lot of information about how this cereal is good for the countryside and only uses natural ingredients, etc. So it is nice to know that this cereal is only made with the highest quality of ingredients, most of which are natural too. Good news; there are no artificial flavourings, colourings or preservatives in this cereal.

A 500g box costs around £2.70 from Sainsburys which I do think is quite expensive...although it is worth it. I only seem to be able to get around 5 bowls from the box and as I like to eat this cereal at various times throughout the day (supper, as a snack) and not just as breakfast, I find that a box only lasts me a couple of days, and it's so expensive to buy a few boxes in order to have the cereal for a full week.

A 45g serving of this cereal (without milk) will provide you with 204 calories (10% of your recommended daily allowance), 7.g of fat (10%) of which 2.2g (11%) is saturated fat. A 45g serving will also give you 10.6g of sugar (12%) and 2.8g of fibre (12%). The salt content is trace.

All in all, I would recommend this cereal. It's very filling, a high quality cereal and a great start to the day!

This cereal does contain nuts and so is unsuitable for those who suffer from nut allergies.

      Thanks for reading!
