As a child this was a cereal I was never able to have. We were only able to get the stuff that I compare to cardboard. You know no flavor make you gag when you try to eat it. Any way I was doing my monthly shopping when I saw these on special. I figured what the hey and tossed them into my basket. I am not sure of all the health stuff and to be honest I really don't want to look at it. I know its loaded with sugar and probably not the healthiest choice I could have made but dang it I had not had them in so long and I wanted to share how good they are with my kids. I figure one small splurge every once in a while wont kill me. When I got home and unloaded my treasures from the grocer my children walked in. They always seem to know when to do that. Strange thing I think they have some kind of food radar on them they show up at the perfect time for food always. They saw the box of apple jacks and the fight was on. My daughter grabbed the box and opened it she did that just as my son grabbed it from her and getting a bowl from the cupboard all in one movement as he sat down at the table and opened the sealed plastic bag hidden inside the box. I turned around to see half the box go into his bowl as my daughter screamed for him to save her some. The whole time I was thinking how smart I was to buy 2 boxes of them. My daughter finally calmed down as she poured her self a normal sized bowl and took a long whiff of them she looked at me and said they smell yummy like a little apple pie mom. I told her to enjoy them and let me know what she thought. A few minutes later I could hear her screaming again that she loved them and wanted them every morning for breakfast. My son on the other hand he made me so mad. After taking 2 bites he decided that he did not like them wasting half the box as he dumped them down the drain. I sure was not gonna eat them all and neither was my daughter. So for my family half of us like them and half of us dont. I think they taste great like little bites of sweetness as does my daughter. My husband and son cant seem to stand them. I figure its a sweet treat as well as breakfast that my husband and son will leave alone thats a winner in my house any way you slice it.
