I enjoy chocolate cereals, and decided to try out Moons and Stars, especially as it is part of the Coco Pops family.

The cereal is packaged in a plastic bag inside a box, as most cereals are. It comes in the shape of...you guessed it...mini brown crescent moons and stars. I tend to heat up milk in the microwave in a bowl, and then add the cereal to it afterwards. The cereal gets quickly soaked up and soggy in hot milk, as the cereal bits are quite thin (compared to Nesquik - my normal cereal). Those that haven't been soaked up in the milk, are quite crunchy, much like coco pops themselves, but taste more chocolatey than coco pops. The soggy ones don't taste great, they taste like mushy milk. However, the partially soggy and partially crunchy bits taste the best, so start eating the cereal almost immediately after it has been made.

Moons and Stars make the milk a chocolatey colour and flavour, however the milk is not as chocolatey as Nesquik cereal. It is almost like there is a pinch or two of chocolate powder that has been mixed into the milk, so the milk tastes sweet, but for those of you who don't like plain milk, like me, the flavour is not chocolatey enough, and I do need to add more cereal in order to absorb the remaining milk. The advantage of this lack of flavour also means there is a lack of fragrance, so it doesn't leave the air smelling sickeningly of chocolate the way Nesquik cereal does.

One of the things I like about this cereal is that it does not leave you with large bits of cereal stuck in between your teeth as much as Nesquik does. Moons and Stars is a cereal that makes a good snack as well as meal for breakfast. I like eating this dry, when I'm hungry.

Nesquik Moons and Stars is usually available in most supermarkets and costs between £2 and £3. It has been a few weeks since I have seen this cereal in any supermarket, so I am unsure whether it is just out of stock or whether it has been discontinued. But, if it is still available, this is a cereal that I would definitely recommend.
