Advantages: Great taste, though a little sickening for me.
Disadvantages: A bit pricey and high on the sugar content!
They sound delicious, and coming from 'Kelloggs Crunchy Nut' I was expecting great things!
The box is in tune with the 'Crunchy Nut' original, and is very eye catching. The bowl on the front entices you, and makes you desire it even more! The honey may just be the deal sealer, and from the box I was hoping for a marvelous breakfast cereal that would add some zazazoom to my morning!
Once the box is opened and you pour out your breakfast cereal, you'll notice large chunks, which is great. Good wholesome cereal that isn't kidding you out of your money's worth. The chunks are golden in colour, and the honey is intertwined in the cereal making it irresistible!
After adding the milk and taking my first bite I thought I was onto a winner. The honey bursts out from the chucks of 'Crunchy Nut' and explodes around your mouth. You don't get much crunchier than these, these define the word crunch!
As I continued to eat my cereal I noticed the sweetness of the chunks and began to realise that although they seemed like the best thing since sliced bread, they were really quite sickening. I'm not sure what it was, but may be the mix of honey and milk and sugary content was just too much.
It's a real shame because they had the makings of a great cereal. I wouldn't not try them on this basis, because everyone is different. They have a great taste and texture and are a really great thing for the morning... just as long as you can handle the sweet taste of honey!
A box of this cereal can be picked up for £2.89, which is pretty pricey compared to the cereals I usually buy. Depends how much you want the honey nut crunch!
Unsurprisingly the sugar content is incredibly high at about a third of a bowl! The calorie count is also quite high for a cereal at 235 calories per bowl.
Sadly I won't be buying these again, they just don't seem to agree with my stomach, but I'd love to be able to because they are truly tasteful!
Summary: A real shame that my stomach can't handle the sweetness because they are a great cereal!
