Advantages: Tasty. Quite filling. Sweet.

Disadvantages: Goes soggy if too much milk.

I don't eat cereal every day, but on the occasion I do, Crunchy Nut remains a firm favourite, both for myself and also for my children. They are made by the cereal God Kelloggs and they are the quality that I would expect from Kelloggs. A large Value Pack of Kelloggs Crunchy Nut that contains 750g of the flakes costs £2.98 from Tesco, which I feel is a really good price for such a quality product. They come in a large yellow box which has a picture of the flakes on the front and there is an bad inside the box which the flakes are stored in to keep them fresh. However, this bag cannot be sealed and I always think it's a shame that it can't be sealed to keep the flakes fresher for longer - although the bag can be rolled down. The box also has nutritional details on the back of the box and instructions on how to make up the cereal - although clearly this isn't rocket science!

The flakes are made from maize and then they are coated in sugar, peanuts and honey. The flakes are made by pouring them in a bowl and then adding milk over the top of them. I personally prefer not to add too much milk because I find too much milk makes them go soggy and I like to have them to have a bit of a crunch to them. I have also found that you should add them immediately after adding the milk or you'll find they go soggy also. The flakes are quite sweet but not overly sweet, but you certainly shouldn't need to add any more sugar to them and so you can eat them as they are. The taste of the nuts is not particularly obvious, but I think it's the nuts that add to the lovely texture of the flakes and give them that delicious crunch.

Overall, I really like Crunchy Nut Cornflakes and think they are a really good quality breakfast cereal. They are quite filling and so make for a good start to the day.

Summary: A good start to the day.
