I think that Kellogg's Crunchy Nut Cornflakes are probably one of the best cereals you can buy. There is just something about them that is so very moreish and quite addictive. We always have a large box of these in our house and I enjoy eating a large bowl of them every morning before I leave for work. The little lad also enjoys them though he has a much smaller bowl than I do.
We buy the large box from Asda or Sainsbury's and they contain 750g of delicious cereal and cost approximately £2.99, though sometimes we are lucky enough to get these on special offer. These delicious flakes are very different from 'normal' Kellogg's Cornflakes - they are so much more tasty and crunchy, to start with. They are made from maize and hey have the addition of peanuts and honey and PLENTY of sugar. The combination of all of these ingredients just makes for one delicious snack at any time of the day - not just at breakfast. In fact, I can often be seen eating a bowl of these at night, just before I go to bed.
Although, as I say, they are coated in a lot of sugar, they definitely do not taste too sweet. I also like to eat these dry without milk, but at breakfast time they are great served with nice ice-cold fresh milk, straight out of the fridge. They are crispy and crunchy and melt in my mouth and they are a great start to the day and really keep me filled up until mid morning, when I tend to have a chocolate bar before my lunch.
The flakes are of a medium size and the texture is perfect. They look slightly 'glossier' than your standard Kellog's Cornflake, but I think this is due to the added coating of sugar on top. They are a pale brown in colour and jagged all around the edges. The box is bright yellow and the packaging is, I think, very eyecatching and certainly stands out on the shelf, amongst the other cereal boxes.
I really rate these delicious flakes from Kellogg's and a box stays fresh for a long time after it has been opened too, which is always an added bonus. Highly recommended.
Summary: Love them - best cereal ever
