***Packaging***

Honey Cheerio's come in a bright orange coloured cardboard cereal box with an image of the bowl of the cereal on the front of the packaging. This is really bright and colourful and stands out on the shelves in the supermarket. Inside the box the cereal is in a white plastic bag for additional freshness.

***Price***

A 500g box of Honey Cheerios costs £1.89 in Asda. This is averagely priced and reasonable for a "branded" cereal however in comparison to supermarkets own brand of cereals this is relatively expensive.


***Nestle Honey Cheerios***

Honey Cheerios are like normal Cheerios round O's about 1cm in diameter. In comparison the plain Cheerios the Honey version are a slightly more golden brown colour with more of shiny coating to them.

When you pour the cereal in the bowl it has quite a sweet scent, and if you sniff closely you can smell honey mixed with a wheaty type scent.

After the milk is poured over the cereal it is initially very crunchy however as you get nearer the bottom of the bowl the cereal is very soggy. I find that I tend to put less milk on Cheerios than I do other cereals in order make the cereal less soggy as Cheerios definitely taste better when the cereal is crunchy. The milk turn very sweet, a lot sweeter than it does with the plain Cheerios.

Honey Cheerios have a lot more flavour to them than the plain Cheerios cereal and are a lot sweeter. This is quite a strong honey type taste and is immediately apparent as soon as you eat a spoonful. As you crunch the cereal quite a wheaty wholesome taste becomes apparent. The after taste is still very sweet and there is a definite taste of honey.

***Overall***
Cheerios are a great breakfast cereal for those looking for something relatively low calorie and low fat for breakfast. However the Honey Cheerios do have a fair amount of sugar per serving especially in comparison to the traditional Cheerios. A bowl of Cheerios is a filling way to start the day and the cereal has a crunchy sweet wheaty taste... providing you do not leave the Cheerios in the bowl too long as the cereal does go soggy quite quickly.
