      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Gorgeous! I'm off for a bowl now lol

I love cereal and can't face the day without it. I have been trying to eat muesli on a healthy eating kick but no matter what one's I've tried I do feel like I'm eating sawdust and I get bored of it. The other day I really moaned at my Mum (who does the shopping) about this and next time she was out she bought me this to try!

      The Packaging....

Turquoise plastic bag with pictures of the cereal on it and I'm told on the front that it is Sainsbury's Tropical Crunchy Oat Cereal that is 'Clusters of oats with banana, raisens, pineapple, coconut, papaya and mango' and that it contains wholegrain, is high in fibre and contains no added salt or artificial colours or flavourings and is also Vegetarian. Size is stated (in this case 1kg) and there is an at a glance nutritional chart on there. On the back of the bag nutritional information is given as are ingredients and allergy advice, I'm told how to store it, there is a recipe suggestion given, size is again stated, the best before date is clearly stamped on and it's all finished off with a bar-code. This is a nice sturdy bag that doesn't have a nervous breakdown when you tear it open, like I find so many bags do! It's informative and looks high quality thus filling with me glee when I set eyes on it first thing!

      The Cereal....

Wow! I think about this cereal when I first open my eyes and next minute I'm eating it...I love it, it's delish! As soon as you empty your portion into your dish you are met by a lovely sweet oaty smell and then inspect it and there are lots of light brown and honey coloured clusters mixed with various dried fruits which are as I've told you already banana, coconut, raisens, pineapple, papaya and mango and a few really small chunks of hazelnuts which sort of entwine within the clusters themselves.

The fruit all holds well and tastes distinctive (as it's meant to). It plumps up when it's met with milk and the banana chips stay crunchy as do the hazelnuts. Even the clusters as they absorb milk don't become at all soggy although the milk does take on a slight shade of beige and tastes oaty, sweet and gets a bit thicker in texture.

It may be sweet but it's sweetened with raw sugar cane so no nasty sweeteners are lurking about in here at all. it's tasty, filling and is as promised...tropical in every way. Love it and this one bag of 1kg is meant to give me 20 servings...hmmmm wonder why I got 10 eh?! lol. Lovely and recommended from me!

      Allergy Advice....

Contains nuts, oat gluten & sulphites.
Not suitable for sesame, wheat gluten, rye gluten or barley gluten allergy sufferers due to the methods used in the manufacturer of this product.
