Tesco Rice Snaps
Advantages: Taste as good as Kelloggs, Price!
I love my cereal in the morning, and normally have 3 or 4 boxes on the go at any one time to give me some variety. I have always loved Kellogg's Rice Crispies. They just remind me if being a child and listening out for the Snap, Crackle and Pop! And do you remember those adverts  So Rice Crispies have always been in my cupboards from then on! We generally always shop at Tesco, and as times are hard, as they are for everyone, we have started to switch from the main brands to some of Tesco's own. When I saw the Tesco Rice Snaps I thought I would give them a go.
They are a lot cheaper than the Kellogg's and you can buy as 375g box for just £1.39! The box is blue in colour and has a cartoon picture of a crocodile on the front, holding a bowl of Rice Snaps. The cartoon animals are a theme Tesco use for some of their own cereals. I am assuming them played on the Rice Snaps and a Crocodile snaps to join the two together.
The Rice Snaps are the same as the Rice Crispies to look at and have much the same nutritional values. 115 cals per bowl, 3g sugar, 1g of fat - based on a medium bowl with semi-skimmed milk. But I figured I would be able to tell the difference from taste. I had tried own brand cereals from Morrison's before and cold really tell the difference and I was expecting the same from Tesco.
I poured myself a bowl, added a little sugar and sat down to eat. I can promise you, you can tell no difference between these and Kellogg's. They look, taste and even snap, crackle and pop! I was amazed. They are just a sweet, just as crispy and lovely! I have since tried some more of the own brand cereals after tasting how good these were and Tesco has really produced quality for an own brand product.
I would highly recommend Tesco Rice Snaps for anyone who loves Kellogg's Rice Crispies - just give Tesco a try...they are exactly the same!!
Summary: Well worth trying if you enjoy Kelloggs Rice Crispies
