Advantages: affordable, improves digestion, filling

Disadvantages: bland flavour without sugar or fruits

I've been eating Weetabix since my school days. That's why I was known as the...*whisper* Weetabix Girl *whisper*. Anyway, here's my review.

THE GOOD...

-Filling
I'm not on the 'eat every three hours' brigade. I want my meals to fill me for approx five hours. Weetabix does that every time. It could be six hours later when I start to feel hunger pangs. No other cereal does the same for me.

-Easy to calorie count
I'm counting calories to lose weight, so Weetabix makes this much easier. I had to measure and weigh the other cereals I eat to make sure I wasn't eating more than 30g. Instead of getting out my scales, all I had to do was read the back of the Weetabix box. It told me how many calories in one Weetabix- approx 60 calories. Simple and easy to vary how many calories I eat in each meal. No more measuring or estimating necessary! I always know exactly what I'm eating.

-Improves digestion
I definitely have faster bowel movement when I eat Weetabix on a regular basis. I also had faster digestion when I ate Cheerios daily, but it was too much bowel movement and I found myself in the toilet a bit too much. Weetabix doesn't send everything you eat straight through, but at least it's not sitting there for days.

THE BAD...
I had to think about this because Weetabix is good. This is not really a 'problem' exclusive to Weetabix, but I'll mention it anyway.

-Bland taste
Weetabix tastes very bland without sweeteners. One of their advertising campaigns suggested various ways to spice up a Weetabix breakfast: chocolate chunks, slices of banana, strawberries, honey, etc. I stick to two or three teaspoons of sugar. Their suggestions make Weetabix look versatile, and it is, which is clearly a plus, but you should be able to enjoy the product without extra enhancements.

I highly recommend Weetabix to everyone. Other healthy food is too expensive to eat regularly, but Weetabix is affordable and tastes great when you've added your own flavours to enhance it. No more worrying about the excessive amounts of sugar or other genetically modified flavourings. It's just pure wheat biscuits ready for consumption.

Summary: Affordable, healthy food ideal for better digestion.
