This multi-service router can accomodate embedded hardware-based encryption and offers four flexible Smart Interface Card (SIC) slots, two enhanced service module slots (for encryption functionality), two 10/100 ports, Compact Flash, USB ports, up to 384 MB memory and a comprehensive portfolio of WAN/LAN interfaces. The MSR 20-40 adds voice processing capabilities with embedded bays for two voice processing and one voice co-processing modules.

With a full-featured, resilient routing platform, including IPv6 and MPLS support, and 160 kpps forwarding performance, this router enhances network functionality and simplifies management and complexity.
