Draytek Vigor 2820 ... ve been using several draytek vigor 2820 s for the last 4 months or so for a new wan deployment at work and can say that they have been flawless in almost every way. We are using them to connect our smaller sites over single ADSL connections backed up with a USB 3g modem to an Enterprise Draytek 2950 and haven t had any real issues with them. The vigor 2920 main feature is that it is a dual WAN router which can be implemented by using any 2 of 3 options which are: -Direct ADSL connection to an ISP. - Ethernet connection for direct PPPoE (adsl modem) or NAT connection via Cable modem or other source of web access. - USB 3g modem This allows for redundant ... My cable internet was upstairs going straight into my PC, and my wireless router (G) served my laptop downstairs adequately. This changed when I bought a PS3. When looking at the PS3 s spec, I saw wireless and was happy that I could have it on my HDTV downstairs and be able to play online, stream media and download content easily. However, it turns out that my wireless connection tends to drop out a bit - not bad for browsing, not good for gaming. I needed a more reliable option. I ve set up and am using six of these routers at a certain company with offices around London and have been using them for a few years now and was done as an upgrade from the Draytek Vigor 2600 and 2800 routers that were previously in use. The reason for the upgrade to the 2950 was due to the VPN (Virtual Private Network) connection being slow with the previous models.
