The built-in switch feature saves users the time and trouble of purchasing and installing a separate switch by allowing 4 separate workstations to directly connect to the ISDN router. All the switch ports are 10/100Mbps so allow connection to both 10 and 100Mbps devices without any configuration.

The remote router supports Network Address Translator (NAT), which allows the network to support multiple users from a single shared IP address for cost savings and enhanced security. Features such as password protection for the Web management browser, PAP and CHAP protocols are supported for remote access users. Customizable firewall filtering is provided for control of access to and from the network. Two password-protected accounts are provided for remote access users, which also allow for network control via Telnet.
