The FBR-1161 router is ADSL/ADSL2 and ADSL2+ compliant with downstream speeds of up to 24Mbps. The new high-speed ADSL2+ standard allows for better broadband access to online gaming, video streaming and real-time audio sites. This router makes use of the Annex M standard to achieve higher upload speeds by doubling the upstream data rate.

Along with the built-in NAT natural firewall feature, the FBR-1161 router also provides Denial of Service (Dos) attacks feature to counter hacking attempts and URL content filtering.
